Taqueria Mi Jacalito

GO HERE! This is the best place in Socorro! It was wonderful and such a great value! The only downside is that they close when they run out of food, and they are so popular I was only able to go once in a week. Just couldn't get back in time. The carnitas and Al pastor were probably the best flavors of those I have ever had - anywhere! The taco plate comes with rice and a grilled poblano. This was great because the tacos were so stuffed a bunch of meat fell out and I was able to make a delicious rice hash :) bonus meal!

Delicious food with cheerful and grateful service! We'll be back should we ever pass this way again. Stop in, you'll be glad you did.

I've only had their street tacos but they are definitely the best around these areas. On a scale of 1 to 10 they are a 9

I love eating at Mi Jacalito! The food is always delicious, and the owners are so friendly and welcoming. We are blessed to have an establishment like this in Socorro! Highly recommend!

I love this place. Probably the best place to eat in Socorro County (although I have a restaurant myself haha). I love ordering the tacos, any of them are good. I usually get tacos al pastor, or carne asada. Make sure to order rice and beans. Avocados are always fresh and green. Family meal is an excellent deal. Only thing I wish was different was an indoor place so I could hang out longer!

Best in Socorro, which may sound like the prettiest person on a hockey team, but dang the food is good.

Awesome street tacos! I have to stop here everytime I am in Socorro for work. The rice is also delicious! Rice doesn't look like much at first glance but the flavor is on point. They are always friendly and quick, even when busy. I have been here several times and never been disappointed. Definitely will be stopping by everytime I am in town.

Came down for training in New Mexico Tech. Saw that Google users rated this place 4.9 and wanted to give it a try. I’ve had tacos in the tri state area (NY, NJ, CT), California and Mexico and in my experience, outside of Mexico, I’ve never had better tacos than here. The people that work here are awesome too, very nice folks. I wish I can bring them back to NY with me! If you’re in Socorro, you need to to stop by and eat here.

The tacos are so good! Love they add pineapple. No cheese thank goodness! The burrito is HUGE. The rice is really good. This is true Mexican food and not TexMex. Their chili is amazing! You will not regret eating here! Very clean and tidy too!

The absolute best food I have eaten in years. So fresh, juicy, delicious. I only have good things to say.

Great Mexican food at a great price. A cut above many other more formal dine in places.

Real, fresh food and fast service keep this place busy all the time. I've sampled almost everything on the menu and never been disappointed. There's outdoor seating that looks inviting, but I always take my food home, so I haven't actually eaten there yet. This is a good place to stop if you're passing through town for the day and don't have a lot of extra time.

I was drawn to this place because of the good reviews and was not disappointed. I ordered the tacos de asada plate; 5 super fresh and flavorful tacos garnished with cilantro, avacado and onions and a side of perfectly cooked rice and beans. The service in this family run little business was fast and friendly. The place is conveniently located close to I-25.

Amazing!!. We were with our family in a roadtrip to Albuquerque and decided to stop in Taqueria Mi Jacalito. Best decision ever, we had the family plate and was enough food for 5 adults. Everything was delicious and very cheap. This was a totally worthy stop. I would add 10 stars if I could

Probably the best barbacoa burrito I’ve ever had - super hard to eat a whole one, they are so rich. Great prices, no frills, you just get delicious food fast and get to sit under a nice awning out of the sun.

I was on a training trip to Albuquerque and went for a drive to see how Socorro has changed since I worked here 30 years ago. Had some excellent tacos here and the people were very nice. The roasted jalapeno was a nice touch as I can hardly remember ever getting one up in Washington where I live. Worth the drive!
