Updating review. We stopped coming but then they made great changes and food tastes great! Marinated chicken, pancakes, scrapple egg and cheese, and beef vegetable soup is why we come literally every week!

Yummy yummy 😋 food !! Had the Tuna Melt it was perfect! Hubby said 🤔 maybe a side of syrup for Monte Cristo. Ooh the onion rings so crispy and sweet at the same time. We tried the Orange Creamsicle cake, and enjoyed it.
Great waitress 😁 too

Hampden Diner is a clean and bright, spacious pleasant place to eat. Lots of windows. Everyday specials. Lots of variety on their menu. Counter service. Bakery case. Quick service. Pleasant friendly server. I had their strip steak and eggs with homefries and raisin toast for under $15.00. It was done as I ordered and steak was pretty good to my surprise. My partner had a ham and cheese on a pretzel roll with french fries and a cup of tomato basil soup. We certainly will be back to see what else we can order! Our 2nd trip back to try something different.
I had the Senior Turkey Dinner with Filling which came with 2 sides, and soup or salad. Had mashed potatoes and applesauce and a cup of clam chowder. This entree was fantastic. Thick slices of roast turkey with homemade filling which had celery ,parsley and carrots. Great mashed potatoes with small pieces of potatoes. Clam chowder was as good as you get in any seafood restaurant. The Turkey with filling and mashed potatoes is a great choice for comfort food. My partner had their Baked Onion Soup...loaded with nice size onions and covered with a lot of cheese. The French Dip had good quality beef with a good quality roll and a large bowl of Au Jus. We each had dessert.. nice fresh slice of coconut cake. I had a slice of their cocunut cream pie filled with lots of coconut. All in all....another great meal. Do not drive by this diner... well worth it!

Absolutely love this dinner, the food is amazing & the owners are the sweetest people you’ll ever encounter. I will always be a regular at this diner . Won’t find better diner food in a 20 mile radius. 10/10, hands down best place to grab some grub.

Yes! The food was excellent.
The prices even better. Sad not trying a cake slice, they had a cheesecake topped with cinnamon rolls! Highly recommend.

Everything was wonderful. From the service to the food, Hamden Diner is worth checking out. Everyone working was pleasant and made sure that our entire party was taken care of. The food was well prepared and tasted great. I wish we had saved room for dessert because everything in the bakery case looked incredible. We'll have to give some of those cakes a try the next time we stop in.

Nice atmosphere. food was delicious. prices weren't too bad. the inside of this restaurant was very nice and well done. the service was excellent. I'm definitely coming back.

Great service. My marinated chicken breasts were moist and tender, the salad was fresh and crisp, the sides not overcooked. The Greek omelette was ample and plated nicely. Prices are reasonable and portions good.

Absolutely amazing menu ! Great food - terrific staff ! Lisa greeted us ! And Abraham was our server ! It was an absolute pleasure meeting Abraham he provided top notch service ! 👌 Highly recommend- I wish they would open a restaurant in Pittsburgh I would eat it everyday !

I gave this establishment 5 stars. Because it is 5 stars for a diner. The diner itself was extremely clean. The restrooms were clean. The service personnel were kind and courteous. The food delivery was quick on all 3 occasions that we ate there. Our party ranged from 2 to 5 and never a problem. Manager/ owner extremely courteous. No wait.

Came back in for breakfast with the family. I ordered the ribeye steak and egg special. I was a piece of prime rib grilled to order. The taste was fanominal. Highly recommend coming.

I know 5 stars is a lot, but I've been in the food service industry a great majority of my life, so I know how hard these folks work. So...I stopped in here on my way back to Massachusetts from South Carolina. It was a very busy Saturday night. I was given a table with a great view of the dining area. The hostess(whose name I didn't get) was very friendly and chatted with me on and off during my visit. My waitress, Olivia, is the daughter of the hostess. They were quite understaffed this evening, having only 3 waitstaff when 4-5 are usually working. This is no way affected any of the servers.They were all very efficient, welcoming and friendly. I placed my order (club sandwich, as I wanted dessert) and shortly after that, the owner/manager delivered my food. Olivia stopped by to check on me and the hostess made sure I had plenty of coffee. I chose the Orange Creamsicle Cake for dessert. When I left, I mentioned to the owner/ manager how pleasant and hard working all the staff were. He thanked me for the compliment and gave a big smile. Bottom line: if you're in the area and are looking for a good meal at a very reasonable price, stop in. You may even be lucky and have Olivia be your server!

They have everything on the menu you could possibly want, and all for great prices, plus the food is delicious!
We had a great server as well...I think her name was Marina. She had a great personality and was very good at her job.
I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

FIRST TIME THERE! WON'T BE THE LAST! I HAD LIVER, SALAD, & COLESLAW. ALL WAS PRETTY GOOD. MY WIFE HAD WINGS & FRIES. SHE SAID THE WINGS COULD'VE BEEN DONE LONGER, BUT THE FRIES WERE REALLY GOOD. GOOD PRICES FOR THE TIMES WERE LIVING IN.

First time here... Needed to have breakfast early before traveling. They open during the week @6am most of the other local places were not open. Clean, food was good, and quick.

I love going for breakfast service is fantastic it never takes long for the food to come out I usually get the cream chip beef over toast with home fries the servers are always on top of there game making sure your drinks are full and have everything you need my family loves coming here everyone is so nice overall just a great place

The restaurant has been nicely remodeled. It's very bright and spacious. The food was great! Typical diner pricing.

It's what you think of as a diner. The restaurant was clean and in good condition. The food was good with a complete menu. The service was also good.
