Silver Spring Diner

We had a great experience at the Silver Spring Diner! Had a very nice menu with a lot of breakfast selections, the food was really good and came out extremely fast and our server Jayonna was on top of everything and did a fantastic job! Would definitely eat breakfast at this restaurant again!

Hungry, and borderline hangry, we stopped in for brunch. We were expecting a smaller facade inside, but were pleased to see ample room for many customers. Seated right away, we both looked through all of the menu, and then decided on breakfast as the safe option after traveling so long. Our waitress, while busy, was very nice and helpful with ordering. The meals came out quicker than we expected. The French Toast wasn't too sweet- this can be an issue for us sometimes as we have sensitive teeth-. Crispy bacon, excellent scrapple, but the best part of all: the home fries. They remind us more of a potato pancake than anything; that just makes it even better. Next time we are around, we will be sure to stop in again :)

I lived in Newville for a long time and i moved to perry county and i am so thankful that from when i started coming here to now that it has stayed very consistent. The restaurant is always clean, food is always hot and tasty, and the waitresses are so so sweet. Thank goodness cause some places around me lack in all of it.

We all (3) enjoyed our dinner. Very casual atmosphere, and the restaurant is bright and comfortable. Service was efficient and friendly. The Panini sandwiches were very tasty (and real good a day later?. The fries we well-cooked and we would have enjoyed more on the plate. We'll be back

Was just driving around looking for a place to eat. Seen the bright diner sign reminded me of Beetlejuice village!! That was what pulled me in!! Great food!!! Great service!!! Very clean!! Will be back again! Loved it.

Excellent service. Food arrived quickly and was done to our liking and everything was hot and bl ery good tasting. It was very full when we arrived and was concerned it may take a while to get served. Happy to be wrong about that. Definitely going to be going back. I suggest if you are in the area to give them a try. I don't think you will be disappointed

This place became my go to spot for delicious food, fast service, and pleasant atmosphere after a spontaneous visit about a month ago. Been there once a week since. Each visit was as good as the last, if not better. Highly recommend.

Food is always good. Service is good 3/4 of the time. It depends on who is working. The amount of food you get for the price is good. We usually take half of our meals home for another meal.

Great diner food and atmosphere. There were a lot of people but the service was terrific. We had a party of 8 and they seated us promptly even though they were definitely busy.

Friendly, fast service. Great food at a good price. Will return.

This restaurant is so peaceful and relaxing.

Ordered pot roast and got big slabs of beef and it wasn't done cooking couldn't cut it with a sharp knife let alone chew it. Waitress say what was happening and gave me a free meal. Wife got scalloped potatoes and ham and it wasn't any better. Potatoes overcooked and dried out.

Fair prices, great breakfast, open clean restaurant. By far the quickest place about getting your food barely waited 5 minutes

When in the area I stop here. Good food especially the fries and rice pudding my favorite. Very friendly atmosphere and good service. Will go back. Under new management

It’s a wonderful place, service is awesome, extremely clean, employees are very friendly, various kinds of breakfast or lunch and beverages.

We just went the other day. And I've never been seated, and served so quickly in my life. We walked in and were instantly approached by a hostess who sat us withing 30 seconds. 3 minutes later. Our server came over, we got our coffee within another 2-3 minutes. She came back less than 10 minutes later We ordered our food and it came out in like 10-15 minutes. This was our first time here. And we are so pleased. We will definitely be coming back more often! Also, great prices

10-28-23. Second visit here, been a year. So my bride orders the same gyro and once again she loves it. I got the 6 oz burger deluxe Philly style and honestly it was too dry and the bun too big for the patty. The fries ordered extra crisp came out perfectly! The waitress’s were fun dressed up in their utensils outfits for Halloween a knife fork and spoon, see their picture and give it a thumbs up for being good sports.

10-24-2022. Monday evening and the place had maybe 10 booths filled. Service was friendly and the food was fast. My senior ground steak dinner was okay, my wife loved the Greek slouvaki gyro.

Always great service, great prices. Very, very timely, both in being seated and being served. I’ve, many times, had about 10 people come for an after-work dinner around 10:00 PM, I always call ahead, of course, but they’ve never made a fuss and it still didn’t affect their timelines or service. Unfortunately, a coworker once brought her husband, who I didn’t realize was “old-fashioned” in his treatment of food service employees. He complained about such trivial and, quite frankly, stupid, “issues” with the food; the “issue” being that their thanksgiving menu didn’t say anything about having stuffing, which he didn’t not-like anyways. He had them markdown his order and he didn’t tip, which the employees didn’t make fuss about either, and the rest of our group made sure to compensate our tips for his lack of decency. I always come here with my mum as well, and apparently she used to come here with her mister as well, but that’s irrelevant, it’s sort of our place, and we’ve always had the best waitresses, especially the one, I unfortunately can’t remember her name, who looks like Pamela Adlon. I do, however, miss their 24 hour openness, but that’s not their fault, COVID-19 has changed much.

Go here often. Have never had a bad meal. Most waitresses are very good.

Fantastic diner! Happy with the food, the service, and the prices. Great diner ambiance and the perfect place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner...or a cup of coffee and a piece of pie if that's all you're looking for.
