Draper's Steak & Seafood

Dined at Draper's on a Saturday night with the entire family and it was excellent. The chef and management are new in the last 6 months and both are outstanding. We had a filet, NY strip, pork chop, cheeseburger and the catch of the day. The steaks were cooked to perfection and my wife couldn't stop raving about the Mahi Mahi. I had the pork chop and it was nice and juicy. My daughter ordered her brussel sprouts extra crispy which she loved (not my favorite ;). We ordered a couple desserts and the bread pudding is a must try! Service was great, shout out to Jack. It's located in the heart of Fairfax City and highly recommend. We will be back.

We went here as a group for a work outing lunch, our waitress was very attentive and got our orders accurately. The wait time was very reasonable however the dessert I ordered which was the white chocolate bread could have been better, it was dry and didn’t have anything else to accompany it. A suggestion would be to include a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The restaurant was clean and is set up
With tables keeping good distance. Will be back individually and try the bar.

Great food, great service, and great atmosphere! Love the decor and love the quality of food. Order the huge shrimp cocktail and the salmon, you won’t be disappointed.

I never heard much buzz around Draper's but the building looked nice so wanted to check it out after seeing they were serving brunch.

Walking inside I was kindly greeted by a host. There are large windows that give the place a lot of natural light which makes you feel a little more energetic.

The service was great. The waitress was kind and gave us good recommendations. Also she checked up on us in reasonable intervals.

For me the most important question is if the food is good. I was pleasantly surprised about the brunch. I wouldn't say it'll have any Michelin stars any time soon but still solidly delicious.

I ordered the French toast and English Breakfast. The French toast was definitely elevated since it was made with a house made brioche. It also had a delectable outer shell protecting the custardy innards. Just having English breakfast in the menu was a plus. Every element tasted great! If you never had an English breakfast you should definitely try it. It's like having a mini buffet on your plate. The sausages were cooked perfectly. The mushrooms were seasoned very well, so savory. The one element that was subpar was the ham. Also, I usually don't complain about having too much food but the proportions of the mushrooms were a bit much compared to everything else.

Overall the experience along with the quality of the brunch was good and I would highly recommend it. I'll be coming back for certain whenever I would like to eat a nice brunch on the weekends!

It was a warm Friday afternoon. We had a work meeting and wanted to go to a nice casual lunch spot. Came across this gem. Upon entry we were greeted and sat immediately. Very great service from beginning to end. They had a great selection and upon getting the food, a huge portion. The fries, crab sandwich, salad, burgers all great.

The place reminds me if john taffer rescued a bar and made a classic after work happy hour and good dinner spot.

I recommend this spot for sure.

Took my wife here for Valentine's Day. The service was fantastic. The waitress was on point with recommendations, appropriate check-ins, and assisting boxing up leftovers. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing. They had an IPA I liked and fun drinks my wife could try. I had the half chicken with asparagus and mashed potatoes, loved it. My wife had the crab cake Valentine's dinner meal and added sprouts, she loved it. It's a little pricey but comparable to Hammrocks as far as costs and great quality for a Fairfax City restaurant. Great date night place. I look forward to coming here again.

First time dining at Drapers. Has Valentine’s Day lunch. Ordered the grilled salmon and hubby had the cioppino. Both were delicious. Salmon cooked medium. It was perfect. Out server Maurice was great, anttentive and pleasant.

We had a special celebration event and went to this place last Friday night. We loved the food and our server Jen was fantastic - diligent, professional and super courteous! Kudos Jen! And a super special thank you to the chef for making our food very memorable - my salmon was perfect and my husband said that it was the best piece of beef he’s had in a long time. We thought it was reasonably priced too. Definitely will come back and certainly recommend.

I often drive by this restaurant and decided to take my wife for dinner tonight. Draper's (under new management) did not disappoint. Our server Nick greeted us before we even walked through the door. He saw us coming and opened the door with pleasantries. We were seated immediately and Nick was the ultimate professional. He knew the menu and was able to recite specialty items from the Restaurant Week menu. After we dined, Omar the Executive Chef and General Manager stopped by the table and spent significant time with us talking about the Spring menu that will cater to my wife's allergies. We will definitely be back. I can't wait to drop in for the Saturday brunch with live jazz!!!!! Bravo to the entire staff!!!

Dined at Drapers the other evening when passing through Fairfax with family. We called ahead and Oscar was gracious enough to get a table ready for us. Marcelle was our server and he took great care of us. He offered recommendations for apps and we loved the mussels. We really enjoyed his wonderful service. Great place to bring the family!

Very nice atmosphere. Good menu. We went for brunch and had a spinach frittata and roasted vegetable quinoa salad. Berries with marshmallow creme was also delish!

Had a wonderful time celebrating hubby's Birthday here. We have been wanting to try them since they opened earlier this year. The place has a nice modern twist on an old time favorite type vibe. Definitely coming back in the fall to sit on the covered porch with the fans.

We started with the pork belly and it was fantastic! I could have made a meal out of it. It was sweet with a wonderful level of heat that I loved but I could see if some might think it too much. It set up the rest of the mean quite well! Unfortunately, I was unable to get a photo before we ate it all up...it smelled that good!

Hubby ordered the Dry Aged Ribeye Steak, daughter ordered the Wild Beast burger and I had the Ahi Tuna Wellington. The ribeye steak had a fabulous seared crust and was cooked to perfection...a PERFECT medium! The potatoes were amazing...definitely worth giving a try. The burger was succulent, flavorful and quite literally a beast to get through but well worth it! The tuna was cooked to perfection but the risotto might have been a little heavy handed with the wasabi for some...I loved it, but not everyone will like that level of heat/spice.

We finished up the night sharing 2 desserts..the Banana Bread Pudding and the Banana Cream Dream. Hands down the Banana Cream Dream was the winner! Fried banana cheesecake and vanilla ice cream...yes please! The bread pudding was a little dense for my tastes but still very flavorful. The coffee helped to cut all that sweet but I really would have enjoyed having an espresso better...maybe next time.

We will certainly return, if only to have more Pork Belly appetizer!

This place opened in our neighborhood a while ago and has gone through several iterations, but I feel it has finally hit its stride. We came here early on a busy Saturday, and they had a table available without a reservation. The food and service were impeccable. Our server, Nick, was fantastic. We'll definitely be back.

We love coming to Draper’s! We always always request Danielle. She is so welcoming and always right on top of things. Best service we have had since moving to Fairfax. So happy to have found our local go-to! We’ve never had a bad meal here. Their new manager Oscar is also fantastic and loving their new revamped menu.

Management and bartender fantastic. My wife asked about an item on the brunch menu, the manager went to the back and confirmed the could make the item. My wife says it is the best sald she has had in a long time. My steak tacos were cooked perfectly with flavorful sauces, freshly made.

Went to dinner at Draper's last night and it was wonderful. There were 3 of us and we had the beet salad, ribs, seafood cioppino and the bread pudding with wine & idea tea. The ribs were delicious. Fell right off the bone like they should. The service was great. Very attentive and nice. It is right in downtown Fairfax - not far from GMU. Finally another restaurant with good food, parking, and service. A well needed addition to the area. We will be back with the whole family of 12.

If I could give service ten stars, I would. Our family came to celebrate a difficult day for us and with the delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, and tremendous service, the evening was absolutely perfect. Our server, Nick, was absolutely wonderful and made the experience amazing. My family was truly grateful for his wonderful attitude and gracious care. We will definitely be returning.

Draper's just reopened Summer 2022 and what a lovely restaurant. Big bar, seating inside and outside... the food was delicious and the service was outstanding!!! The banana wrapped in a tortilla shell fried with cinnamon sugar and vanilla icecream is NOT to be missed 😋

My boyfriend and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and let me tell you, it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. But the real MVP of the night was our server, David. He was well Knowledgeable about the menu and delivered customer service that made us feel like we were dining in a five-star palace.

For my meal, I opted for the NY Strip with garlic mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, and it was simply divine. Meanwhile, my boyfriend indulged in the grilled mahi-mahi with mashed potatoes and clam chowder soup, and he was thoroughly impressed.

And don't even get me started on the key lime pie! It was so tasty that is should come with a warning label: It was so scrumptious that it should come with a warning label: "May cause uncontrollable bouts of happiness."

To add to our delightful experience, the manager on duty, Omar, was an absolute gem. He ensured that everything ran as smoothly as butter, leaving us feeling like culinary royalty.

If you're on the lookout for great food in a relaxed setting, this place is definitely worth a visit. Needless to say, we're already counting down the days until our next visit!

Dishes are inventive and delicious. Bartender Bo makes a perfect martini and is attentive and engaging. The scallop and lobster risotto is delightful, and the beet and burrata salad is packed with pistachios! Don't miss the blueberry cream pie - it's heaven. Don't bother trying to share it. You'll only want another all to yourself.
