By far the best restaurant we have eaten at in upper Michigan! Not only is the food made fresh and made from natural and organic ingredients when possible you can tell that everything is made from scratch.

It’s clear that the owners, Matt and Lisa, take pride in their restaurant and have passion for great tasting food. We would highly recommend stopping by and experience it for yourself.

From nice thick French toast to great barbecue burgers, including gluten-free options, and not to miss made from scratch pastries, there is something for everyone.

Chef Matt is a genuine and kind Culinary Artist that stirs emotions on your taste buds, in every bite, from the moment you smell and see the presentation, to the finish on your palette. The BEST Chef in Northern Michigan! Thank you my friend! Your restaurant and everyone who works there, are an absolute treasure to the community, and anyone who has the opportunity to treat themselves to an incredible meal from your kitchen. Just WOW.

Don’t know how we’ve never heard of this place before. We were able to stop in today and have to say this is probably the best breakfast/lunch place in Roscommon/Higgins. The staff were very friendly as an added bonus.

We stopped in for a late breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. The menu was diverse offering a variety of unique food options with very fresh ingredients and a creative twist. I had a breakfast sandwich with house made fry bread and loved it. Our waitress was great- fast friendly service and she was very helpful with suggestions on how to order our food. The atmosphere was cute and comfortable and the chef made his rounds checking in on everyone. We would highly recommend!

Very good flavored food , seasoned great. Sausage gravy n biscuits great & granola bowl tastey! Bread & Jam is great! Tacos 🌮 are awesome & waffles with peach bourbon! OMG 💯

One of the best cafes I have been to in northern mi. Nothing better than the chef personally coming table to table to show his new creation of breakfast food. He also asked what we thought of everything and was just a wonderful person.

My food was great, I had a side salad that was amazing, it was a basil vinaigrette that was so fresh and delicious! Bacon and sausage was great!

My son killed his Mac and cheese and loved it! Usually he is picky on Mac and cheese but the chef delivered!

Chef Matt did a fantastic job on our food! Everything was fresh and well made. The staff was so kind and fun and Chef Matt checked on us multiple times to make sure we were all satisfied. Great service, wonderful food, beautiful people! Definitely would go regularly if I were in the area more.

If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out! Breakfast is delicious! Everything is homemade. The quality of this food is something you don’t find very often especially up north. Breakfast, brunch, or lunch, you can’t go wrong. And the Chef came out to check in with everyone about their food. Super nice guy with great service and food to match!

Great coffee! Grilled cheese breakfast burrito was delicious very healthy portion. French toast A+ kids have good choices as well! We Loved this placed❤

Great brunch stop on our way home from up north! Excellent food for a variety of palates, great service, and convenient location. Owner/chef Matt stopped by our table to make sure everything turned out well. They were able to accommodate our larger group (8 adults) on short notice which was very helpful. We loved the huge variety of hot sauces for our meals and the bakery section for sweet treats. Will stop by again!

I wanted an special breakfast and this was it! We felt the love from the front door to the back of the house. The chef was proud of what he put out. It felt how a restaurant should be. Definitely a must try.
First time trying a Benedict and I probably will only ever eat it here. It's one you can trust.

Had lunch at the Beechwood Cafe in Roscommon today. Most of their food is handmade, just like someplace else I know;-) this was one of those lunches that are the highlight of my day...you know the kind, where you're full, but it's so good you want to finish every last bit. The Fry bread bun was AMAZING! Matt and Lisa are doing a GREAT job! So glad I stopped in!

Greeted as we entered and where seated by friendly staff. Food was fresh and wonderfully presented. Service was prompt and efficient. The side salad on plate with house dressing was delicious. The wonderfully prepared signature BBQ bacon, pulled pork and burger grilled to order.I would highly recommend lunch looking forward to trying one of their breakfast items soon.

Five star quality food prepared by the owner who is a chef. Great hospitality and atmosphere. The chef came around to every table to inquire about their food and experience. It's a must if you're in Roscommon!!

Absolutely delicious! The food is always fresh and healthy eating! Potato Corn Chowder is wonderful. Lisa promises her homemade soups on the menu more often. Definitely worth our 45 minute drive to the restaurant. Also, outstanding service!

I love coming here when in Roscommon. The breakfast is so good! I recommended the breakfast burrito and the chicken and waffles. It’s a very nice family ran and owned business. The owner and chef, Matt, always makes it a point to come out of the kitchen and ask how everything is. Highly recommend!

Chef Lisa and Chef Matt are killing it at Beechwood! Staff is friendly and welcoming, atmosphere is great. Far and away the best restaurant in the area. Food is always delicious and the pastries are outstanding!

I am so happy this place exists. Simple, delicious, and elevated menu that seems to focus on high quality ingredients. Everything you would hope for in a brunch location from good hot coffee to perfect portion sizes. Even my 7 year old loves it here. Hats off to Chef Matt

Vegan, Vegetarian, and allergy options. I have asked to remove items I cannot have, and they have asked if I would like additional replacement foods.

Their food is thoughtfully made with such love.

We like the service and attention from both the owners and staff.

Get the cinnamon roll(s) to go!
We have eaten it the next day and even 2 days later and still soooo good!

They offer a smoothie too

This place is a gem! Not only is the food exceptional, but the service is first rate. PLEASE try the Chefs French Toast... INCREDIBLE! CHALLAH BREAD is perfect. And the Bourbon peaches are ssooo good!
These should be located all over the US!
