Mountains Walking Brewery

We come here whenever we visit Bozeman. This is a mandatory stop in our schedule no matter how busy we are.

Pros: amazing staff, great atmosphere, spectacular food, and the beer is unmatched.

Cons: only one location

Great Brewery. The Gallatin Roar is a great IPA. Really enjoyed their stout as well. I asked for a buffalo chicken salad which wasn’t on the menu and they made it, no problem. Staff was amazing!

Freaking epic! Best Porter I've ever had! That bear went out!!! Beware of the French toast stout! It is sweetness overload! Chilli is good but that CORNBREAD will make you smack your granny!!! Best cornbread EVER!

Highly recommend this spot. Service was awesome and the food and beer were both delicious. The indoor space is also super cute and the patio is nice too.

This place was really good!! We enjoyed the beer & slushy seltzer. We all got bison chili & fries which was delicious. The beer was gluten friendly which was so nice! Our kids had the pizza & didn’t love it (said it didn’t have enough cheese haha). We were especially impressed with the service. Faith was our waitress & she was awesome! 👏 She was so patient & kind to our kids which meant a lot (many servers can get annoyed with kids which I understand as they can be high maintenance). She brought juice boxes & toys for them to play with. She interacted with them & really seemed to genuinely care. We were so impressed with her & appreciate how well she took care of our table (along with many others). We’ll def be back again when returning to Bozeman & hope to have Faith as our waitress. Oh & the brewery itself was cozy/comfortable.

We spent a day in Bozeman before heading out to Big Sky to see family, and chose this place to grab a beer and lunch. So glad we did. Great service (though they were very busy when we arrived), delicious food, and a good beer selection. My husband had their S’mores Stout and I had the Twisted Karma Huckleberry Sour and we enjoyed them immensely. He ordered the bison chili to start, which came with the house cornbread. Both were tasty and flavorful, we would definitely order again but next time I want more than a bite of his. I had a yummy fresh side salad, and then shared a wood fired pizza with my husband and daughter to finish. We got the Umami Bomb, and it was so good. A garlic oil base with mushrooms, and artichoke hearts, and spinach, and cheese… we decided to do it without the salami, though I’m sure it would be good either way.
I would absolutely visit Mountains Walking again, or recommend it to anyone visiting Bozeman. We thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

Loved this Brewery. So excited that they use hops from Nelson, NZ my hometown. Bobbi Jo was a great hostess and was really helpful, informative and very friendly. We will be back.

While passing through town on our way back home to ND, we delightfully stumbled upon this gem. All of the food was absolutely amazing! The pretzels with beer cheese were the best I’ve ever eaten. My only complaint is that it is so far away from where we live, we probably won’t make it back there. Otherwise, It would be a regular place for us if it were in our town. Highly recommend. If you are a local- head there now! If you’re passing through town looking for something yummy and different than a chain restaurant- look no further.

I can't stop thinking about the Tochos!! Some of thr best I've had. This Bozeman brewery not only has great beers on tap they also have a great menu full of delicious food. I can see why it's busy every time we go.

Stopped for lunch. Beer was excellent, and the tomato soup was outstanding. Looking around, everything they were serving looked great. Friendly local people, nice modern taproom.

Stopped in last night and was NOT disappointed! Everything from the food to the beer to the service was FANTASTIC!

Whenever we travel we're not quite sure if we'll find great beer since we live in an area that has great craft breweries.

If you love sour beer highly recommend getting the sour flight like I did and my husband got an IPA flight. All great choices.

Food wise we had parm chicken wings(crispy and delicious), truffle fries(to die for) and the bison chili(so good)

This place is a must try! Now only if I could pack them up and bring them home with me.

Love everything about this place! The food, the drinks, and especially the staff. Staffing makes such a difference in a restaurant and one of the reasons I keep coming back. Emily is always super friendly and thoughtful. Kade makes a point to check in, even if he’s not our server. Bobby Jo has great energy and takes pride in providing good customer service. Thanks for making mountains walking a continually wonderful experience.

Great brewery. Friendly staff, the menu items have a slight Japanese theme. Super great. Tried their Grazing Cloud IPA and Oni DIPA. Both similar tasting with a bit of a Pineappleness to it. YUMCITY!

Excellent food! I love their tomato bisque! My husband loves their pizza! We have enjoyed everything we've tried there so far, and have been back almost every week since. The weekend burger is always a good choice. They have a full bar and also some good non alcoholic beer for the win!

Beer, Food, Atmosphere, and a Great Staff! What more could you ask for? The Chicken Sandwich and the Tachos we're both fantastic and every beer we tried was top notch. Stop in for lunch, dinner, or just a beer with friends. You won't be disappointed.

We really like this brewery. Fun and exciting brews, good food and a cool space. They can fill up quickly here. The staff has always been great so far too.

Popped in halfway through our self guided walking tour of Bozeman, on the recommendation from our waitress from dinner the night prior, at Blacksmith Italian, and we weren't disappointed. Neither of us are huge beer fans, but we were both happy with our selections, and the pizza was amazing. We sat on the patio which was perfect and shady. Highly recommend checking it out!

Amazing Brewery! It was recommended as having the best beer (as a Brit I take my beer very seriously) and it definitely delivered. The food and the beers were amazing! Highly recommend!

We went for dinner and drinks last night and got an amazing service! The staff was so friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and the beer was great!!
We are travelling all over the US and stopped in Bozeman without knowing much about it. We found out there was a brewery district so we decided to go there. This place was amazing! Loved it!

Such a great selection of beer! I had a summer-line-up flight of beers, followed by some Wilcox ice cream on a hot July day. Delicious! Kids corner of toys is awesome!! Bring the family for a great meal and filling out here! A number of cozy booths at each end that would make a great date spot - Next date night with the hubby will be here! And the brunch menu looks like a delicious draw as well : )
