Western Café

Super busy place! We were driving by on the Interstate back to Canada and we wanted a 'hot' breakfast! Most places usually serve breakfast until 11:00. I went on Google maps and asked for cafes near me. On the map, this was our closest shot! This location is right in the heart of downtown. OMG, what a popular place! People were waiting outside to get their name called for a table. That DID NOT change our mind to look for a different place as it was 10:30 when we walked in. The waitress that met us informed us that there was NO tables open but the along the bar there was lots of seating. I was with an elder and I told the waitress "we would wait!" As we were sitting on a bench inside the restaurant an older hostess came by and asked me how long we've been waiting? She got everything moving immediately! We were seated within a couple of minutes. After we got our orders in, I took a short video of the interior. It is full of lots of history and beautiful artwork 😍 Breakfast was absolutely delicious 😋 The service was great despite how busy it was -- probably their busiest part of the day for the cafe!

Very cool atmosphere. The service was fantastic and the food was very good. I'd love to go again next time I'm visiting Bozeman.

I consider myself somewhat of a country fried steak connoisseur. And this was the best plate I’ve ever had. Bravo, Western Cafe.

My husband and I stopped in to The Western a cafe hoping to have a quick breakfast before an appointment and they did not disappoint! We were seated immediately, had our order taken within 5 minutes and our food brought out in under 10 minutes. I had eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast and my husband had an omelet. Everything was delicious and the waitresses were all very friendly. The entire experience from seating to checking out took less than 30 minutes! It was a Tuesday morning around 7:00 AM. I look forward to going again when we have time to relax and really spend time looking at the menu.

💯🇺🇸If you're nostalgic about the 70's & 80's then this is your place; great food, very nice people, great service and both kinds of music (country AND western). Top notch chicken fried steak and eggs

This place is unapologetically authentic to its roots and I would imagine has looked relatively similar to how it does today since it opened.

Got a standard two egg/hash browns/toast breakfast, very good, especially the hash.

Picked up two sausage, egg and cheese biscuits for my buddies and they raved about them as well.

Employees were all very nice as well - will certainly be back next time I’m in town.

Wow!!! What a great place! Busy, but it was worth the wait. Stopped in today for lunch and planning on going back in the morning for breakfast. Service was great! Food was awesome, atmosphere was even better! Definitely would recommend.

Loved eating here when I was growing up in Bozeman in the 50's. Still awesome food and atmosphere.

Worth the wait. Such a small, cozy and wonderful spot! The summer special tasted amazing. The coffee was the best coffee I’d had in Montana so far (tried so many on this trip and they were all watery!!??). It was a bit hot and sweaty inside even with the AC kicking in periodically. The staff was very calm and friendly. Definitely want to come back.

What a spot! Went there before taking my flight, as soon as I entered I loved the Western atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and the food is very good, cheap and big. What else do we need?

If you want a good homemade cooked breakfast this is the place to go. Great diner feel, very friendly staff who is more than willing to help with advice of the area. Then there's the food. Wow. Everything we ordered was amazing. We will be back

Summer special is something special, fantastic. Went there with my friend the bear man. He sent me a link and place has a lot of history. Got there 8:30 and got seated for 2 at 9am. Heard if you have an interview there, it is good sign, good luck, and will be back. Parking is limited, highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible cafe!! Got some sunny side up eggs with bacon, hash brown’s, and some toast with jam. My wife got a grilled cheese with some fries. Food was extremely well priced, delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful! Definitely a local gem and will be back for sure.

Love this place! Montana diner perfection! Hard working staff! No WiFi? No problem! “Talk to each other. Pretend it’s 1995” is posted behind the counter and I love it. We need more of this. For savory dishes, the omelets and scrambles are delicious cheesy perfection. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, go for the Bobcat Special *drool.*

Really enjoyed the meal and ambiance of this historic spot! Service to seat us was fast. The cinnamon rolls were long gone by 1 p.m. on a Saturday. There are two steps to walk up in order to get into the restaurant ♿ The menu wasn’t easy to find online, but rest assured, there are many options whether you order breakfast or lunch, and each item is affordable.

If the line is long, it’s worth the wait! Great food and awesome staff as well. If you leave here hungry, it’s your own fault! Huge side of sausage with my BnG Breakfast and two eggs scrambled. I like gravy and wish I had more, but that’s just me. One of my favorites here!

One of my favorite places to go for a quick bite, fast paced service, great food, and friendly staff! Definitely my go to if I’m in the mood for a lovely breakfast/brunch

We had a great brunch here. I had the cinnamon roll French toast with a side of bacon. The bacon was so good. And the French toast was delicious as well. Great service, too. Definitely give this place a try!

Holy packed diner! And we now understand how come. After a short wait, we were seated, had full cups of coffee and order placed. The bobcat breakfast special was something special and enough food for a family of 4. I had a well made and full of meat harvest omelette, also a full plate of food. Very pleased with the family atmosphere, decor, service and food.

Excellent service. Locals were friendly & helped us choose off of the DIVERSE menu. Great food, great coffee, and great scene classic cafe.
