I would like to start off by giving a Big Shout out to Jan "The Floor Boss/ Manager", Our wonderful hostess with the hat, Our magnificent day one server "Bruno" and Our awesome day two server "Patty"... Day one, we had a "Holy" experience with a suggested starter of our meal, which is the bison potsticker... OMG!!! Heaven touched the angel who referred this amazing flavor of the Midwest..
The salmon patty sandwich blessed in a pesto spread was more than amazing... It was Heavenly.... I ordered The Famous Alabama Half Chicken, which I recommend to everyone with an appetite because I made "Love" to that amazing dish... Kudos to the chef...
Next day came back because my girlfriend had to try a salmon salad, and I had the amazing Bison Steak ... I was celebrating my girlfriend's "BIRTHDAY TRIP" from Florida, visiting the Yellowstone National Park, and ending our day at the Montana Ale Works Restaurant Bar and Grill was the highlight of our trip so far... THANK YOU, JAN, AND STAFF FOR THE GREAT SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE... I recommend this place of flavors because they care for the customers... Ask for Jan... I promise you will not be disappointed...

First time visiting Montana and was given this restaurant with high marks. The service was excellent and the food topped it off.

I tried the strawberry Margarita which was slightly different from the standard Margarita restaurants. I had their signature tater tots which were stuffed with something that was delicious and then their monarch elk Burger. I also tried their peanut Thai lettuce wraps. All of the dipping sauces were excellent and the overall experience was terrific period a highly recommend this place.

Wow this place was busy and loud but it was awesome! Our waitress was so attentive and nice. The wife and I highly recommend coming in for a beer or cocktail and some great food. We started with the famous tots and I loved them. Just a little heat and very tasty. The wife had a burger with truffle fries and said it was very good. I had the meatloaf and it was amazing but even the mashed taters and vegetables were very good. I also had the dark cold smoke Scottish ale which was great.

We came here during our honeymoon and the experience was incredible.

The food was phenomenal with me ordering the ribeye and my fiancé getting a schnitzel. We were really impressed how good their German option was and the ribeye was one of the best I’ve ever had. We specifically recommend the bison potstickers pre-dinner and we loved the crème brûlée.

The service was very attentive, providing good recommendations and fast refills/food delivery. The front desk took exceptional care of us, making sure we got a good booth that was quiet for us to enjoy conversation and the server, Ben, was personable, talking about the local ski scene and making sure we were confident in our food choices.

Last thing, the atmosphere here is wonderful: the industrial styling is well-done and they did a good job to keep the historic feel of the building.

We will be back!

Enjoyed great food in a casual environment with the staffing top of their game! Mia, our server was the best!! She was patient, answered all my questions, gave great recommendations, and was very attentive!

This is a must try in Bozeman!

Great dinner here! The huckleberry mule and spicy pickle martini were both amazing. We also ordered the schnitzel and it was massive and so delicious! We finished the night with a few beer flights and each beer we tried was great!!

Stellar service, excellent food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Server was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. For starters, the Spinach and artichoke dip was hearty and perfect serving for 4 people. Entrees include : Fish and Chips (scrumptious large portions), 14oz Ribeye (tender and delicious), Bison Burger (melt in mouth, best burger), and the Steak Frites (Delicious combo of blue cheese and a wine demi glaze). Food was prepared beautifully. I am glad Bozeman has kept this treasure.

We stopped here before going to Big Sky and we’re so glad we did! Really cool vibe inside, very spacious, and has a refurbished old train station feel? The food was amazing and the drinks were also good and well-priced. Our server Desiree was also so sweet and helpful. We tried the elk burger (with fries), salmon cake, bison potstickers, and schnitzel. Everything was delicious; perfectly cooked and seasoned. Wish we lived around here so we could come back more!

Go here and get the schnitzel!! I substituted the potato salad for the mashed potatoes. It is amazing! I also got a draft root beer which was great. We also had the steak frites and it was very tasty. Awesome atmosphere and great staff. Highly recommend.

Had dinner at the bar on a Monday night and was very impressed. Friendly staff, great selection of beer, and amazing food! I had the bison potstickers and maybe the best fish and chips I’ve ever had!

Staying nearby and decided to check this place out. We sat on the patio and Stevie the bartender was amazing. Made us feel so welcome, gave recommendations for nearby spots to check out on our stay, and mixed a great drink to boot. The food was delicious & the atmosphere was very chill. Definitely would come back!

I've been here several times since moving to Bozeman this summer and had a great meal every time. Ale Works has become one of my go-to places to bring people if they're visiting from out of town. Staff are very friendly and give good food/drink recommendations. The outdoor bar/tables are great when it's warm out.

Truly a consistent behemoth of a restaurant which never seems to slow down.

I have been coming here for ten years now. Hardly a thing has changed, nor should it. Recently, the menu was shrunk leaving the mainstays and not much more. That's okay, everyone comes here for the same things anyways. The daily specials almost always have something fun and exciting to try as well.

The drink menu is incredible here. One of the best beer lists I've ever seen and plenty of other great drinks. The service is immaculate. No matter the volume of patrons, this place has the perfect service ratio worked out. I've never once found myself waiting long for food. The space is super cool, it's in an old train depot with tons of seating options including a patio.

The food rocks. No matter the item, it rocks. Not much more to say.

Bison and Trout! Delicious. Definitely would recommend! I will be bringing my friend to experience it!

Great meals and service. Do wish there were a touch more GF options but the menu is large so manageable. Nice cocktail selection. Fun and upbeat energy. Great food.

Loved this place, fun atmosphere but wasn't so loud you couldn't talk. Great food and service. Had the elk burger and it was fantastic.

We had a rather large group here. Although we had to span across 3 tables the servers made sure everyone got catered to well. All food came out very close to each other and was wonderful. I had halibut and, I'm from the West Coast, and it was truly perfect. The homemade tater tots are very good as well as a fantastic beer selection.

Surprisingly busy on a Tuesday evening. Bar staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Also lots of fun personalities.

Ramen salad with chicken was high quality and tasty too.

The wait was about 45 minutes, as the place is always packed for dinner. Nice wait area though.

The staff were very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and very pleasant overall.

The drinks and food came out hot, fresh, beautifully plated, and fairly quickly.

The server was an absolute champ, at placing things out of our 9mo daughter's reach, which averted many miniature crises.
