San Miguel Potteryland

San Miguel Pottery Land was absolutely beautiful, amazing, wonderful people and service! My family and I came down from Oregon on a road trip to pick up my husbands grandpas ashes in Socorro NM. It was a very important trip for us and I believe his grandpa directed us to the most perfect place to find gifts for all of our family members to help remember the place grandpa last resided.. I instantly fell in love with their beautiful pottery!! I didn’t want to leave! Their hand painted frogs, butterflies & salamanders will forever have a place in our hearts & homes!! We had a very large purchase but they perfectly wrapped every item with care for us. They talked to us (an experience you don’t get at Walmart) and even told us about their very own alien sitting that happened many years ago in Socorro. I absolutely believe this place and people are worth the visit, the prices are extremely reasonable and the service is 1000% worth every penny!! You won’t regret meeting these people and having their beautiful art in your home!! We bought gifts for like 10+ family members & friends and each one will have a beautiful story to go with their gift. I seriously can’t say enough wonderful things! GO VISIT THEM, SUPPORT LOCAL, you WILL NOT be disappointed. Absolutely amazing, beautiful, wonderful.. almost breathtaking.. thank you Pottery Land so so much!!! You will forever be in our hearts & home!!! ❤

What a great place! I stopped on an impulse and met a friendly & helpful owner. He has an incredible variety of pots and fun alien decor. Prices are way better than anything at high-tourist areas like Santa Fe, or Taos, etc. I'll absolutely stop in again!!

We were in town for a first responder class at New Mexico Tech, we passed by San Miguel Pottery Land and had to stop. When we pulled up the owner was closing up, but he opened right back up for us to look around. Very very cool stuff in the store at a very decent price. He told us about the UFO sighting in 1964 and told us about the link on YouTube(it’s a must watch). He also told us about some of the different Mexican cultural traditions. He is very knowledgeable and is willing to tell you anything you want to know. If you are passing through Socorro New Mexico you have to pay this place a visit.

Super nice and military friendly. Was able to pick up a nice vase souvenir for my wife while I was in Socorro on TDY. If nothing else, the strapped alien statues are worth a vist.

Shop here if you are looking for unique pottery pieces. This place beats the prices at the big box stores by far. The quality of the pottery is better too. We travel 80 miles one way just to go to this neat place. The owner treated us very well and taught us some things about pottery that we didn't know. Also, if you see it buy it because it may not be there when you go back! The inventory changes all of the time depending on the shipments that come in. Highly recommend!

Was traveling thru Socorro, NM and noticed the alien statuary in the front of the San Miguel Pottery Land, went around the corner and came back to the shop. Enjoyed our visit with the owner and learned about the alien sighting in 1964, enjoyed our visit and went home with an alien to adorn our landscaping. Many thanks!

What a treasure this place was to find!!! We have travelled through multiple states looking for good priced pottery and came across this place with far more selection we had found at far cheaper prices!! Highly recommend contacting this store to find out about their inventory selection if you are in drivable distance. Very kind owner. saved a lot of money and got more than we thought we could!!
By the way, while usually all five star rating may indicate family and friends ratings, pumping up the reviews, in this situation that is not the case. This little town seems to have nothing of value except this pottery shop. We would drive out of our way to buy here!!

There is a wide selection of pottery for plants ad well as cups and plates and decorations. All of which are beautiful. The prices are terrific for how large these clay pots can be. You couldn't just decide on one thing, you just want to buy everything that you see!. Owner was very friendly and helpful. Loved the atmosphere ans scenery as we passed through on our way back home back to Texas.

This small business has great prices. The pottery is beautiful and you get really friendly service. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area. And if you're an alien/UFO fan, they have some cool stuff!

Absolutely exceptional in every way. We were so blown away by the prices and quality. Beautiful hand-made pottery and New Mexican decor, excellent variety, and fabulous prices. We couldn't stop piling things onto the counter to be purchased! The owner was incredibly friendly, courteous, and reasonable. He came very promptly to open the store when we called, was helpful and friendly while we shopped, wrapped everything with great care, and carried it all out to the car for us. We can't wait to go back! This is the place to go.

I saw all the pots and had to stop. Great colors and designs! The prices are awesome, so I went home with two. The owner was so nice. He even offered to load them for us. Oh and they have a cross selection also. I got one of them too. We were headed to a ball game but if we ever go back I will stop again

We visited this store on our way to our vacation. Wonderful owners and great items. We purchased some beautiful pottery. It was a pleasure to shop here and the owners gave us Recommendations for resturants, which we visited and had some wonderful meals. I love the items we purchased and only wish we had purchased more. I particularly love the Sun ornament and wish I had purchased two of them.

Truly a hidden gem, the prices are unbeatable and I will only come here for my pottery purchases!

Was visiting family in Socorro and drove by San Miguel Pottery Land. The beautiful pots displayed outside got my attention. There was a large variety to choose from and the prices were very reasonable. The owner was very nice and helpful. 5 Stars for a friendly, honest business and owner!!

A lot of great finds! Looks simple from the road, but there are a lot of great items at great prices. Very nice owner.....retired. If he is not there, just call the phone number on the fence, and he'll open up for you.

We tried to stop at another place south down the road, the mask Karen wouldn't let us in. This retired man was fine and reasonable and level headed.

Very nice owner, great prices, and beautiful pieces of art! Every kind of pottery from lizards & frogs, to Christian themes, to simple mugs & cups, as well as larger lawn pieces and bird-baths.
