Encinitas Cafe

This is a local hang out out and I eat here with a friend that eats here almost daily. Good comfort food , great service and lots of breakfast and lunch combinations. They also had a gluten free toast for my breakfast. Also plenty of healthy options like fruit, granola and whipped cream. Looks like they are always busy but plenty of tables and booths.

Desi was our waitress. She treated us with a smile and was very friendly. Our Pork Chops and Eggs were delicious. 😋 Debbie came by and was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. A big shout-out to Javier who is the Cook but played the role of Busboy for the day. He was running around non-stop refilling coffee cups and picking up the dishes and welcoming and sitting all incoming new customers. He truly showed care with a smile and genuine hospitality for this place. We're locals to Encinitas, so we'll frequent it more often. Thank you. 🙏🏼

Loved this place. Will definitely go again when we are in town. I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. My wife had corn beef hash. Both were excellent

Efficient, friendly, clean. Food was enjoyable too.

I had a veggie omelet with modifications that were easily accommodated. Weather cooperated on this day too with their large outdoor patio.

I can imagine this place is a machine behind the scenes. Consistency is the name of the game.

Great place that has been here for YEARS, historic actually. Dog friendly, not just service dogs , allowed outside on the patio. Patio shaded, dogs get treats, and seating is very comfortable. We ate fish tacos, and they were fantastic. Cole slaw was excellent, salad was perfect. Plenty of drinks and dishes to choose from. Inside the Cafe is incredibly fun and interesting to see, booths are comfortable, seating is very great. Nice staff. Clean. Bathrooms are clean and easy access. Do not miss the opportunity to eat here, and enjoy!

This place is the best. Dreaming about breakfast. Love that they have heinz ketchup bottles and log cabin syrup bottles on the tables. Food is traditional, classic. The best thing about the food is that is is cooked the right way. The little things like ordering hash browns well done, or eggs over medium, if not executed correctly, can ruin a meal. Not here. The staff is also extremely professional. Everything a customer needs is offered. Wish they had this place back home. Highly recommended.

This is one of our favorite breakfast cafes!! Feels like home when we go there! Everyone is so friendly and food/prices are so affordable

I drive up from San Diego just for the burger. Can't be beat. Friendly personable staff and pooch Friendly. Was able to order a hamburger Patty for my perro Amarillo Mexicano.

Definitely a breakfast spot to hit when you're in town. Food is great and staff is friendly. I upgraded to the banana walnut pancake for my breakfast and was certainly glad I did. It was so good. Sausage patties were flavorful.

Great food !! We had the Cobb salad excellent. Also they make in house cinnamon rolls delicious 😋 ❤💪

Was super busy but for one person I went there and ate and got out. Friendly staff and clean dishes. I would definitely go again!

My roommate and I wandered in here because the wait was too long at his usual 101 Diner. We were seated almost immediately as it’s a much larger space, but it took a long time to receive our food in the Sunday morning rush. The food was worth the wait, though! And the staff was wonderfully communicative, about the backlog in the kitchen and coming to check if our drinks needed refills. Very nice breakfast in the end. We would definitely come here again.

Excellent mimosas. French toast was outstanding. But the hash browns were perfect. Love this place

Eggs basted, polish sausage, cottage cheese and biscuits with gravy was an excellent breakfast for dinner.

The turkey noodle soup is outstanding. The typical American portion is too big for most of us and Encinitas Cafe's portions are for a hungry man.

Short stack with two basted eggs with butter and a lot of syrup, great lunch followed by vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup. Plenty of time to talk with servers and people I have known for years.

The place is the same as usual.

These past few days I decided to see who has the better restaurant between the rivalry between the 101 Diner and the Encinitas Cafe. The Encinitas Cafe hands down for the price has larger portions, and better tasting food. The staff was extremely gregarious and it was such a great experience and cleanly setting. Personally I know what team I'm on.

I love eating here. They are friendly and the food is good.

An Encinitas classic, 35 year family run business. Kinda funky but food's great, service is great.

I realized after my meal, I didn’t take photos. That’s how good it was. I ordered the vegetarian omelette with house fries (breakfast potatoes) and I absolutely, loved my meal. The mimosas were perfect for me, as I don’t like mine with so much orange juice...this classic breakfast cocktail was just right—so I ordered two. Great atmosphere and perfect weather added to the whole Sunday brunch experience. Plus, the staff was attentive and friendly. Will come back when I’m in town again.
