Fiancé's laptop has been having issues connecting to the internet, so we tried many troubleshooting problems, we even tried a system restore and none of that worked. To make matters worse, during one of the system restores we reset the laptop causing a critical failure rendering the laptop basically dead. At this point we're thinking of just buying a new one, but we decided to try to find someone to help us fix it first, after searching on Google we found Bay Area Computer Repairs, and its raving reviews. So I gave Niel, the owner a call he was very nice and professional the whole time, he told me he had an opening on Sunday in the morning and his home office in San Mateo, after a quick ride over we met with him and he went right to work diagnosing the issue. Despite the condition the computer was in he was able to pull all important files off of the laptop and back them up into an external hard drive we had(which we forgot the cord to and he was able to supply one of his own which was awesome!) as well as completely reset and fix the computer and the internet adapter issue we were originally having. Niel is a nice man and worked with us and our tight budget, i dont think there's anywhere else you will find such great service at a great price. I will definitely be going back to Niel for any and all future computer problem I may have.

My Mac had issues and was fixed at Apple Repair Center As soon as I got it, I tried to migrate data from an external hardware drive, then the nightmare happened - it got broke. I had a laptop which was no longer responding and needed 200+ gigs of photos and videos rescued. Neil was incredible- went above and beyond. Saved all my data AND fixed my computer. He was also super fast and kept me up to date as things progressed. Highly recommended, and would use again.

Neil got my laptop up and running after the Microsoft recovery tool would not repair or reinstall windows. Neil was able to preserve the data on the d drive and wipe only the c drive that had the os. The computer actually seems much happier now with the clean install from Neil. I still have quite a bit of customization and setup ahead of me, but I’m glad to be back up and running. The whole thing only took about 20 minutes.

Hi, I reached out to Neil who runs Bay Area Computer Repairs in San Bruno because I needed a PC laptop for school and didn't want to buy a store bought computer that was preloaded with 'BS' software and free trials that would slow the computer down. Also, I had a limited budget since I am a student. I needed a PC because the software used in Construction Management, my major, is all PC based.

What more could you want with high ratings! Didn't think twice and I hired them to do my work. I was having issues with my computer being shutting and blue screen of death so I took it to Neil. Neil called me back in 2 days told me the problem was fixed and recommended me what to do to prevent this from happening. 2 days lot of computer repair shops takes 2 weeks. I was surprise for fast service. Neil also retrieved all my valuable work files and confidential out. Bought me a better-quality hard drive. removed the failing hard drive out of the computer cleaned all the dust so it does not heat up and creates future problems. Lucky, I acted fast enough to call Neil if not I would have lost my data. Neil pulled the data out and a new hard drive was installed and computer back to working condition! Neil has been very helpful over the years and always when I needed him the most. I own a recording studio here in South San Francisco and my computers are extremely important to me. When it breaks down, I'm totally stuck. There is only one person I can count on in the bay area. This just happened 2 days ago: my MacBook pro crashed in the middle of the session with the band from New York waiting around. Neil drove to my business, fixed it like in an hour (without having to reload my files and programs) and we were ready to rock. Turned out to be the connection between the hard drive and the mother board. He made the extra trip to buy me the part, came back to the studio, cleaned the computer up and advised me to buy the time capsule and time machine to back up the whole computer in case of a static surge.
