March 23 2024 Update from my last review had the opportunity today to visit footwear etc. Lovely young lady by the name of Natalina helped me. Very kind sweet she really knows the products honestly she went way above and beyond being helpful.

The store is lucky to have her.

My wife has been a loyal customer for many years at Footwear, ect. After our walk, yesterday my feet hurt, so of course had to see what men’s shoes could help my aching feet. Walking into Footwear in Encinitas and being greeted by an unknown voice that said Welcome so we felt comfortable being there.

The store was very busy, so we started out looking on our own. Shortly after, a young lady who quickly answered my questions professionally and quickly. She appeared to have support from others that worked in the store. I asked are you the manager she replied yes I am. Now I understand why. Her name is Kendra Waller.

That is the reason for this review. Kendra has such calm under pressure, handling many of the customers moving from one to another. Extremely knowledgeable about many of the brands of shoes. I am always asking questions so I can learn what options I have when I make a purchase. I speak up.

Footwear ect Kudos to you for having such highly qualified individuals who are hardworking, able to multitask,

and will go beyond any other retail store to help their customers.

Kendra kudos to you for however you have learned your people skills. Whatever you want to do in life and business, you will be successful. Aim high set your goals even higher and you will achieve much success and happiness.

Just visited, based the previous reviewers from Google, for the first time, and my first visit experience was pretty good. Sales Representative whose name is Danai, gave me good explanations of my feet -- why I'm having feet soreness after standing over 3 hours and/or walking for a long time. Tried a couple of shoes with its heel-supporters along with its shoes. I've decided to purchase shoes of what Danai was recommending, and I did buy the shoes with its Cadence Insoles, for the lower arches. Highly recommended for those who are looking for the most comfortable shoes for your feet, for standing and/or working with your feet for a long time. This is the store to check out. Shout out to Danai. I know now where to go & what to purchase for my feet.

Today was my second time to this store and both times the service was excellent! Kendra helped me, she’s very nice, accommodating and knows all about the different shoe brands. Everyone in the store is very welcoming and immediately approach you and actually sit down and measure your feet and help you try the shoes on. If they don’t have what you want they will get it in for you from one of their other stores. They might be a tad more in prices but you’re getting the one on one assistance from them instead of someone getting your size and then leaving you to try them on yourself. 2 👍🏼👍🏼 to Footwear etc and Kendra!

Went in here to get a simple insert to make my boots fit better, ended up leaving with the best orthotics I have ever owned. I have had flat feet my whole life and 10 minutes with the INCREDIBLY helpful staff helped me to find the best orthotics for me, something doctors have struggled with in the past amazingly. My foot pain is gone and my shoes fit better than ever before. I highly recommend this store if you need a good pair of shoes or if you are looking to improve a foot related condition, turn to the pros here.

The shop is welcoming and impressive even with so many products/items. The service is always exceptionally. I only get my shoes there and have for several years. This time they held a sun hat for me to pickup. I had ordered online and selected the wrong locations. Encinitas called and had the hat delivered to them which made picking it up easier for me.

This was my first time in the store and I was helped by Eric. He did an awesome job at finding what I needed for plantar fasciitis and some tendon issues. He provided a lot of very helpful information and answered all of my questions. From now on, I plan to only purchase my shoes and insoles from this store because of the exceptional service Eric provided the positive experience I had.

Went in to see what they have for orthotics. Elaine was so incredibly helpful and thorough at explaining all my options. My wife ended up also buying shoes. It's such a breath of fresh air to go to stores like the old days and get amazing products and customer support. They are awesome and I will continue to support them in the future! Elaine put a smile in our faces with her kindness and assistance! Thank you!

After a bagel next door, I walked in to browse for new walking shoes with good cushion and support. Kendra was so kind. She gave me time to browse and also recommended a few styles to try. She was also helping other people while I tried them on, and she brought out different sizes for me to try. In the end I chose the HOKA Bondi shoe. The other lady working also seemed super friendly and helpful. I’d recommend anyone to Footwear, Etc. And their new location on El Camino is very nice. Hats, bags, socks, etc.

We keep coming back to Footwear etc. The quality is excellent and I am sold on Olukai footwear. I had to return some shoes from months ago. They looked up my purchase & from gave me credit even though I had no receipt. Came back to purchase more shoes and got a $20 credit for the next purchase with the rewards program. Nice owners too! The new location is next to Supercuts on El Camino Real.

I found this store on line thru a brand of shoes I was interested in. My plan was just to wander in try them on and then order them from the brand website. I was so impressed with the helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly staff. My size wasn’t in stock, however not only did they order my size, they also ordered a different brand I had my eye on. I saved myself the trouble of online ordering. I would give this store and staff 10+ stars if I could. In this day and age it is so refreshing to actually be “waited on” and your purchase appreciated.

The first pair of shoes I bought here didn’t work out and were causing my feet to have issues with ingrown nails and just pain in general. I brought them back and Barbara was able to help me find a pair that are really comfortable for my feet as well as some insoles that actually work. I have always hated insoles but she showed me some that stay in place and provide great support for my super high arched feet. She explained a bit about the brands and overall left feeling like the product fit my foot and was great quality.

I bought my first pair of Birkenstock sandals from Barbara at the Encinitas store! What a great experience. If I had just gone online I would not have had the benefit of her expertise and personal attention and I seriously doubt I could have gotten the perfect fit on my own.. We had to choose the size (38 or 39), the material (leather or synthetic), footbed (soft or hard) and width (medium or narrow). Barbara was delightful and did a great job of explaining everything. Love, Love, Love this place. The shoes...OMGosh they just help to make you feel like a new person. The manager Barbara is so knowledgeable about which products are best for your feet and also in her familiarity with where the shoe/ sandal/ boot was made, what materials your getting and even which ones are waterproof suited for your adventurous side. I am never able to leave without buying 2 pair and oftentimes wanting more!! Her and her staff are very open and friendly, yet diligent in following all safety protocols to ensure your shoe buying experience is one you will enjoy!!!❤

Yesterday was my first visit to a Footwear etc store and I will be sure to return when I visit CA. The service was outstanding! My feet are hard to fit and after trying on many pairs, I finally found a pair that I am very happy with. The patience and professionalism of the store staff was greatly appreciated!

While waiting in line at Garden State Bagels, I noticed the window of this boutique specialty footwear shop. Jess N’ Jane tops were on display and I couldn’t pass them up. There is a variety of high quality purses and wallets as well as comfortable, supportive shoes, boots, and sandals. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. This was my second visit this week to the new store location. My entire family, including my parents, have been loyal customers for years. Milad was wonderful in assisting me. He tracked down the last pair of sandals on line at a store and ordered them for me.

I was very excited to find the store that is hidden in a little shopping center in Encinitas. I was referred by a podiatrist and it was the best referral ever. I bought a pair of slippers that I can wear all day long like shoes they're so comfortable an offer me support in the arch of the shoe. I am about to buy another pair because the first ones are so good

This is MY shoe store! For the past 10 or so years I get all my shoes here. And haven’t had sore feet since. Podiatrist recommended Footwear Etc back then. The salespeople are very knowledgeable & the selection is awesome.

Footwear Etc. stands apart from the self-help, big box franchises peddling disposable fashion. The team at Footwear Etc. Encinitas is committed to customer service and quality footwear. I happened to call the store half an hour before closing for the 4th of July holiday asking if they had stock of a particular pair of non-slip shoes needed for a job. Sandra answered happily and went above and beyond to have shoes waiting in the right size when I arrived. That level of service is a rarity these days and is so greatly appreciated. For those concerned about the cost of shoes sold at Footwear Etc., bear in mind you will buy one pair of shoes at Footwear Etc. that will last several years versus spending a fraction of the cost at big box franchises that last a fraction of the time and result in foot and back problems. The shoes sold at Footwear Etc. enable people to be comfortable on their feet all day. That value is priceless.
