Delizia Café

This place is a hidden gem! I don’t know how I didn’t go here until a few months ago. The ambiance is wonderful. Great place for breakfast or lunch. They also have a breakfast buffet available. There is a large private space in the back for a board meeting or an event. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about this place.

1) Owner was very authentic and passionate about his food. A Father and son duo worked together and it was such a nice experience being served by the owner and getting to see the chef.

2) Food quality was impeccable. My girlfriend and I are very selective about what we eat and often talk about going back to Europe just to eat good healthy and authentic Italian food.

3) Presentation was incredible especially from a “cafe” even the bread smelled fresh and delicious. We asked for more just to take home with us.

4) Ambiance - again for a cafe what a nice and cozy place to sit down and eat. There’s all kind of seating arrangements and cozy chairs to pick from. (we decided to pick the comfy chairs in the window and people watch)
5) Service - please understand that speed doesn’t always = good service. This is a family owned and operated establishment.

What you get when speed isn’t a top priority:

Who wants to feel rushed or like a nuisance for asking about different dishes? The owner took his time to explain everything to us in a beautiful way and absolutely sold us on dishes based of his wordings. The hot cocoa and expresso made its way to us within a few minutes while soon being followed by a delicious Burrata salad and then a wholesome Carbonara.

I can’t believe I’ve lived in Frederick this long and just now found this place.

Kind staff and great food! We had the prosciutto and mozzarella panini, and the cheese pizza. Also got the bruschetta in red. The kitchen gave everyone free samples of a yummy frozen drink. Would definitely come back here!

Loved the atmosphere. Very chill and good place for coffee and food. Portions were a little on the smaller side. They carried my favorite coffee (Illy) and their croissant was amazing. Will be back soon!

My partner and I had a great lunch here. The food was great; I got a prosciutto and mozzarella panini and an almond rose latte. Everything was fresh and delicious. The owners and staff are really good people, they even brought us a free sample of one of their refreshers during our meal. I absolutely recommend giving them a try.

I celebrated a wonderful new year in Delizia cafe, a welcoming environment, beautiful music and lots of good Italian food! I recommend going to Delizia for any occasion.

What a lovely place to stumble upon! The ambiance is light, airy and very cozy, beach-like. The service is very personable. And the food is amazing!. Besides the fresh pastries ( have not had a croissant like that in ages, if ever!), I would highly recommend trying their breakfast sausage! I was never a big fan of meat in general, and breakfast sausage in particular. But their sausage is really very different from what I tried before- fresh and very tasty. I wonder if that’s a family recipe or they get it from a local farm and it does not have as many preservatives. Awesome place, wish it was closer to where I live!

Enjoyed a great cup of Cappuccino with a piece of delicious cake. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere is very relaxed and pleasant. Will definitely come here again.

I loved the bruschetta! I have gone before and just gotten that because it’s so good. I’ve had their paninis before and they are also really good! The bread that it’s on is so soft and delicious! Their pizza is good too, although I found the dough to be a little doughy towards the middle. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for just a quick place to stop in!

Love! I have watched this place grow since the beginning and the owners have worked so hard to make this a lovely , inviting place to dine or just stop in for something to grab and go!! The food and atmosphere are wonderful with plenty of light coming into this charming cafe with great blues music playing in the background. Gracious owner and attentive waitstaff with the busy Sunday crowd. My omelette was delish and my son loved the buffet which offered a great variety. Top notch coffee as well and the real whipped cream topping on the chocolate croissant was perfection!

I wandered into this place one early afternoon and discovered their weekday brunch buffet. I had never intended to stay but the food smelled so good and the employees were so stinkin' polite I had to. It turns out, everything was as delicious as it smelled, even on a buffet (I become less and less impressed with buffets the more I age but this was awesome!), and the coffee was incredible. Would highly recommend so much that I intend on coming back whenever I can.

Update: As always the food is great and the staff is friendly, just keep in mind that it will take some time to get your food ready so don't expect a fast food service.

This our first time in Delizia Cafe, we were having breakfast, the place is bright and relaxing, we choose Kevin's recommendation, both the almond rose latte and the montagna breakfast taste great.

Since our party was big it took a little extra time to get our food but wasn't a big deal, just for your consideration.

Key points: nice environment, friendly staff and great food.

I can't say enough good things about Delizia Café! The owner and his lovely family have brought the charm of Italy to Downtown Frederick and I couldn't be happier. Having traveled in Italy numerous times, I can tell you with confidence that we are fortunate to have this kind of authenticity here in town. Eating their delicious food while sitting by the window and waving at familiar faces as they passed by was absolutely delightful. The ambiance, authentic cuisine, helpful and attentive staff, the focus on community engagement... not to mention their extensive and growing menu?! Their new gelato bar is the best! It's official, I'm a fan for life. Keep up the great work Carmine and team!!

What a great find in Frederick!
Relatively new Italian spot with great coffee, fresh and in-house croissants and pizza options. Very nice decor, exceptional service and very reasonable prices!
If you are in Frederick, this spot is not to be missed.

Lovely Italian cafe with an al fresco feeling even in a dull rainy day like today.
The two young people who took our order and served was absolutely delightful.
My cappuccino had a nice thick foam with a strong coffee taste as it should.
The donut we had was stale but be fair it was nearly closing time (7:30 pm when we arrived)
Over all both my kids and I loved our experience.
We would love to come back to visit.

Super cute café! They have a great selection of coffee, pastries, and food. The owner is very welcoming and always has a smile on his face. I love the ambience in there. It's a great place to pop in for lunch or grab a coffee and do some work for a couple of hours. Highly recommend trying them out!

This is the perfect coffee shop. Coffee is great, the ambience is wonderful -- good for studying or hanging out -- and the people are the best of all. Truly, there is no deficiency in this place.

What a pleasant surprise this day held for me. I intended to go to Cafe Nola, but they were closing early for some reason (which was very disappointing). A few shops up I saw this place that looked inviting, so I popped in to check out their menu. I saw they still had breakfast options available even though it was well after noon. I ordered what I think was called the combination (?), and it was amazing. Fresh and tasty, with a definitely European twist... It was all just so good. Before the food arrived, which didn't take long at all, I had also ordered a Nutella pastry, which was brought out with the food. Everything about this meal was on point. The icing on the cake was the staff, who were fantastic. I'll definitely be back!

I have been to Delizia twice for breakfast with coffee-both times were fantastic. The second time, I brought my husband with me for a breakfast date and coffee-it was about $40 for two people for what we ordered but really worth it for when you want an all-around nice experience. The cafe is attractive inside, roomy with plenty of seating, clean restrooms; the food is prepared beautifully; the staff has always been friendly; and the lavender latte I had was excellent.
