Honey Bee Quilt Store

This is my favorite quilt and fabric store in Austin. I also have rented the long arm twice and find my days spent up there quilting to be so enjoyable. Nancy is a true gem - as is every woman that works up there!

This is a fantastic quilting shop! The fabric selection is very nice. I was in awe at the side room completely full of longarm quilting machines that can be rented for the day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'm a new quilter, and Ann was very kind in answering my questions about types of batting and thread. She also helped me pick out fabric for my next quilting project. I will definitely be back!

I am a brand new quilter and Honey Bee Quilt Store has been a huge part of my early success. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. They even help me select fabrics. This is a big deal to a newbie because color/fabric selection can be VERY intimidating. They have fantastic classes and the long arm rental has been great because my machine is too small to quilt large projects.

I was looking for a very specific type of ruler and the lovely woman who waited on me continued to look for it long after I had given up and voila! she found it! Hooray! I had not been in the shop in several years, but now when I am in Austin, I will make sure and come in. The fabric selection was bright and cheery - just my type. I also noticed more extra wide fabrics for quilt backs than I recall seeing at any other quilt fabric store.

It has been a very good experience since I arrived to the store for the first time. The quilt instructor is fantastic, she goes beyond the class giving us more info, slides, photos of all the quilt museums she has visited. Genial😊

Needed help picking out fabric for a project. Two employees helped out with a vengeance. Loads of fun AND got the fabric I needed to complete the project. Fabulous store. Great selection of fabrics and tools. (Obviously great staff members to boot.)

I thoroughly enjoy my visits to Honey Bee Quilt Store! I have NEVER had a negative experience there. Whether I'm there to "pet the fabric" and see what's new, looking for a new pattern, that one piece of yardage that will had the perfect "zing" to project or the perfect background, the staff is always ready to support me. As soon as I walk in the door, I'm "home!"

My daughter did a sewing camp at Honey Bee this summer and everything was great! There were plenty of staff to help the kiddos and everyone was very friendly. My daughter was able to make two items over a four hours and loved it!

Shirley was so friendly and informative when my friend and I shopped for supplies for her first quilt. She was very welcoming and helpful, and the store is well laid out and attractive.

I try to visit Honey Bee (HB) whenever I travel from Houston to Austin. They were a joy when I was making hundreds of masks during the pandemic. Now that I have started making quilts, I look to HB for tips, advice, materials and inspiration. The salespeople are a wealth of information. It’s not just a fabric store: it’s a community of caring creatives. I’m looking forward to taking my first class at HB soon.

I love Honey Bee Quilt! Each time I visit the store everyone is most helpful and more importantly - friendly. We always end up laughing and joking about something.

A friend and I were interested in possibly buying a long-arm machine. Dean spent over an hour with us asking questions, showing us the different machines and then left us alone to make a decision.

From purchasing a longarm machine to buying patterns and fabrics for quilts, the Honey Bee Quilt Store team is wonderful to work with. While buying a machine, they talked me through and had me try the various options. And the installation of the machine went very smoothly. When looking for quilt fabrics, they always have great advice on options to consider. They are always willing to take the time to help. Amazing customer service!

I was looking for fabric for a quilt a friend is making for me and I needed help matching some fabric I already had. I visited several times and was helped by serveral staff members. All of them were very friendly and happy to help. The best part was they never tried to push their choices on me. They would make a suggestion and if I didn't like it they were fine with that and brought me more options. I really love my final choices.

I'm always amazed how every quilt store I go to has a different selection of fabrics. This store has an exceptional array of fabrics. The ladies working there were friendly and very helpful.
They have a really great group of 108" wide fabrics for quilt backing. Definitely worth a trip.

The owners are great to work with. They helped me get the machine I needed with the accessories I wanted and their technician did a great job completing the installation project.

I had a top quilted. They did a great job, with plenty of choices for design and thread color. And it was completed so fast! I had not been in this store since pre-pandemic and I love all the changes - the expansion, the fabric selection, friendly staff. It's great.

Had a great experience with purchase through setup of the AMARA 20” plus 10’ frame. Dean and Cory came and spent about five or six hours setting up the frame, machine and lighting system and walking me through the whole process of loading a quilt, winding a bobbin and using the machine. Answered all my questions and assured me I could get follow up help by calling or going into the store. Would highly recommend this shop to anyone in the market for a long arm machine!

This is becoming my favorite local quilt store (LQS). I'm new to quilting but have been here multiple times now. They have a good selection and everyone who has helped me is very knowledgeable and friendly! They are also very excited about my projects as I gain confidence in completing quilts.
