Family Cafe & Diner

My husband and I came here late morning on a weekday, I wanted breakfast and he wanted lunch. It was our first visit and we didn't realize this was a Mexican cafe that also sold some standard American breakfast and lunch fare.

I had their stuffed hash browns and my husband had a burger with fries. The food was excellent! The stuffed hash browns were so delicious! Crispy on the outside, stuffed with cheese, sour cream, and other goodies on the inside. My husband said his burger was very good as well. The service was fast and friendly and they were very patient with us as first time customers. We'll be back for more!

We love Family Cafe & Diner! The owner is an amazing chef, and his wife and daughter are very kind and welcoming. The food is delicious, and you can tell that it is made with love by a wonderful family who cares about their customers.

Food tasted like my mother in law used to make...yummy. Very accommodating to dietary restrictions: no cilantro, peppers or nuts. Vegetarian.

If you like cheesy hashbrown hotdish you'll be amazed by Pedro's stuffed hashbrowns! Crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside it was amply stuffed with sour cream and onions. It's a ginormous spud that's no dud.

A small friendly family-run place with delicious food, good service and good prices. I had the mulitas al pastor on my last visit and the meat was tender, savory and plentiful. It's my new favorite. The decor is not fancy but it's clean and spacious and quiet enough to meet a friend there and have a good conversation while you eat.

New favorite spot for a great breakfast. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu. Yum!

Went there last Friday and just got around writing this well deserved review. One of my 2 to go spots for authentic Mexican food here in Minnesota. I've been to many Mexican restaurants and this ones is my favorite. Great service, flavor, and excellent family vibes. Coming from New York city I sure do have high expectations for food and I was not disappointed coming here. Will be my go to spot moving forward for sure.

I have never left a review, but I truly feel I would be doing this family a disservice by not leaving one. This was the BEST torta I have ever had. Everything was so fresh! The fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The torta was so fresh, delicious and hot! I was so impressed the food was this amazing. I literally had to call them and tell them how much I enjoyed their food. This place deserves so much more business. A+ and I will definitely be back very soon! Thank you! Stopped here while in town. Chips and salsa were excellent! We all ordered pupusas and they were fabulous too. Service was good! Seemed like a nice family business. When I'm craving pupusas again, I'd make a trip down! Some of the other food looked awesome too.

Very good service. Friendly and helpful with questions. Made horchata fresh for us without asking. Food arrived quick and was fantastic. Highly recommend.

I had some breakfast during my lunch break from work at the Family Cafe. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff was really friendly as well. Will come back again!

The breakfast burrito was AMAZING and the salsa was delicious. The owners were very welcoming and friendly, even with our double jogging stroller and 2 year old twins.

What a hidden gem this place is. The family who owns it couldn't be nicer people, always greeted with a smile when I come in. The food is always fresh and made to order. Just had the sopes for the first time, wow those are good! How lucky that it's less than a mile from my house, check this place out if you haven't.

I cannot recommend this place enough! I went here for breakfast and it was incredible. Finding a good diner breakfast that meets all my specifications is difficult and this place knocked it out of the park. Crispy bacon, great biscuits and gravy, delicious hash browns. We also got pupusas to go and enjoyed them later at home. It is family owned and operated and you can see that in they run the place. The homemade salsas are incredible.

First time here, but won’t be the last! I had the Torta Cubana on special and it was fantastic! Thank you!

I had the breakfast burrito. It was delicious and reasonably priced, and the salsa was the BEST! I especially appreciate the friendly service and overall it was a lovely “hole in the wall” experience 😋🤗

Very nice friendly people. Husband and wife owned cafe. Service was great and with a smile. Food was very good and just the right portions for a good price. Highly recommend it. Also very easy to get to.

Stopped in for breakfast and had the biscuits and gravy, my fiancé had the Ranchero Skillet, both were very tasty and I thought the price and portions were fair. We’ll be back to try Pedro’s Stuffed Hash Browns!

My 93 year old neighbor and I had breakfast there today and it was fabulous! I had the breakfast burrito and she had the waffle and eggs and like she said- "they know how to cook - everything was cooked perfectly!" Delightful husband and wife team. Highly recommend.
