I love going to the wine thief. They always have a great selection at a variety of price points, the staff is always very knowledgeable and very helpful in finding wine based on the flavor I am going for or the type of meal I am having.

The rare type of wine shop where it is clear that they don't keep anything in stock that they wouldn't be happy to drink themselves. You can grab any bottle off the shelf and be confident that you've found a good wine at a fair price.

Excellent selection of spirits as well. On the rare occasion that they don't have what I need for a cocktail menu they are always willing to order it in at request.

Such a great experience! I recently just visited the Wine Thief and it was just what I was looking for! Staff was super helpful by guiding me to the best bottle that would suit my liking. I will definitely be coming back!

The shop has a small footprint but it's stocked with everything I need and more. The wine selection is clearly curated by a knowledgeable team. The beer options are interesting, unusual, always something I'm eager to try. I went in looking for a somewhat unusual amaro and sure enough, they had a bottle in the back for me--at a very reasonable price.

Lovely, thoughtfully curated selection of wine! More than anything, this location is remarkable for its truly spectacular, generous people. They are, unequivocally, the best. Whether they are recommending a rose that pairs well with seafood, recounting global adventures, or supplying us with moving boxes (!!) the staff is exceptional.

The staffs wine knowledge is unmatched. Their free Saturday tastings are a great way to learn about wine and the selection!

Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They clearly love wine (and beer and spirits), always give good recommendations and never try to upsell you.

Relatively small but comprehensive and well-curated selection. Unless you're a real connoisseur looking for something specific, the wine thief will have you covered. (And even then it's worth a shot!)

Lovely and helpful staff, excellent wine selection which is continuously updated. You can catch some real gems here. I haven't had Sardinian wine since I had been there last, but the convenience of finding it in East Rock is amazing

Even if you don't plan to buy anything, this is a cute place to visit. I came here two years ago to get a quick gift for a co-worker, and the prices seemed right. good inventory for a small shop. I believe in supporting small businesses when possible, and this place is worth a trip.

This place is a gem! There's a great selection of wine, liquor, and beer. (They even have smoked beers that I can't find anywhere else!) Todd was really friendly and knowledgable about all sorts of alcoholic beverages! Definitely recommend this place!

I don't know wine, the Wine Thief does. Tell them what you're looking for and your price range and they will provide. Limited dessert wine selection, but very good for any other kind of wine.

Worked with them on selecting and sourcing wine for our wedding. 20 cases later we (and our guests) were very satisfied, Tim and Clay were incredibly helpful throughout!

Very friendly and knowledgable staff with a large selection of wine, and a pretty good selection of beer and liquor as well. A cute shop overall, I stop in most Fridays for my weekend fun ;-)

Outstanding quality in terms of wine, beer, and spirits. More expensive than some but better service and harder to find stuff available.
