Vinny's Food Store

Vinny is so nice and always treats me and others kindly, respectfully, and with dignity. He always has customers of all backgrounds returning his warmth and chatting with him in his small but very well stocked place. From winter gloves to chips, go to Vinny’s! :)

Vinny is a great guy. He seems to know everyone.

This store is an anchor for the neighborhood. Without it, the closest food source for us is over a mile away. The closest grocery store is at least twice that. Just by being there and being open, this store provides food (deli sandwiches and groceries too), other goods, and services (e.g. UPS, etc.).

I heard from a friend that the owner was extremely nice, so I had to stop in. He was not lying, is like going to the corner store when you were a kid, and the owner knows you by name. I stopped by for some lottery tickets, and they guy was super friendly and attentive.

The Italian Sub here is definitely the best I’ve had in New Haven. Vinny is super friendly and runs a great store. Selection in a store this small is incredible. I’ve literally been mid-cook on dinner and had to step over to Vinny’s for a last minute ingredient. I’d say Vinny’s keeps me from running across town to Stop and Shop at least once a week.

Where do i start. I mean its Vinny. What a guy . So kind and considerate and will help you out if times are tough. The community love him . His store is in a prime location. He gets great business in that area. His Italian combos are amazing!!! So good that the President at Yale University have to stop by and buy it. Love ya Vinny thanks for everything

This guy is the man! Best bang for your buck in New Haven for lunch sandwiches. He also has one of everything ever created for sale in his tiny store.

Lunch at Vinny's is probably what I miss most from working in this area. Great person who always aims to please! Worth stopping in for sure.
