I have been a customer over 10 years, and the service has been unwavering. I am always impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the staff. They have done right by me many times, and I will continue to purchase my gear from this truly local landmark.

Really diverse selection of fishing tackle and gear. I’m more into the fly fishing side and they had a good selection of fly fishing stuff, it does lean more toward salt water stuff which is cool. For spin fishing, the selection is huge and the staff is very knowledge and passionate.

George and Dana are awesome! Super helpful, friendly and provided amazing customer service. They recommended a rig/bait for us for striped bass and an hour later we were hooking monsters! Will 100% be back and see ya soon!

Exceptional service and knowledge for both fly fishing and conventional "spin" gear. I visited thinking I needed new reels and loads of stuff. Instead the staff spent an hour showing me that my gear was fine, and I just needed some new line and other terminal tackle. Full service as they set me up. Deep knowledge. Fun staff. I don't need to hunt for another place.

Amazing service with great selection of anything and everything you need for fishing available at very reasonable prices. Dana was such a wealth of information. He showed the kids how to choose and use a rod, which lure to use where we were going and even prepared everything so all they have to do is just attached the lure. So grateful!

I hadn't fished in about 20 years although some of the best memories of my life were fishing with my grandpa and then my good friend when I was a teenager. I recently visited my dad in V.A to pickup an old canoe and fishing rods he wanted to give me. This sparked the urge to start fishing again and more importantly, teach my two sons... I walked into the shop and explained that I didn't really know were to start. I told the staffmember I was going up to a pond in cumberland and he was very gracious and sold us just what we needed to catch a few bass and no more. .... We caught 3 bass!!! It was a fantastic day out on the water with my family and I owe the tackle shop a ton. They have a new faithful customer. Cheers guys.

I highly recommed the Tackle shop. Dana and his crew always go above and beyond setting you up right without the pushy "gotta have all this" sales pitch! Dropped a few rods off for repair yesterday and boom they where fixed and ready to go in less than 24 hrs! I'd give them 6 stars if I could! Thanks to the good folks at The Tackle Shop!

I have been going to The Tackle shop for about 8 years now. Dana and his crew are on point and give you every little bit of help possible. They never try to up sell anything, actually half the time they try and get you to go with a lesser item with same quality. also... if you have never seen the custom work Dana can do on a rod blank....check it out! I now own 5 blanks and one in the making right now. very please with every visit to this shop

These guys are the best in town. Undeniably. They give the best advice, give great deals and treat you with enthusiasm, no matter what level angler you are. The new shop is great and the fly fishing gear, flys and fly tying supplies can outfit you for salt or fresh water fishing. .

My second time in there the owner was very busy but took the time to explain some of the gear and recommend a jig and reel I couldn’t ask for anything better definitely would recommend

We were visiting Maine for a short period, and at the Tackle Shop we found both great convenience and fantastic advice on where and how to fish that day. Caught a few good stripers thanks to these guys!

I went in for a new rod & reel and came out with an excellent setup for a great price that multiple people have complimented me on and, most importantly, has been very successful catching fish.

My father used to take me to the old location back on India street so the tackle shop has always held a special place in my heart. They always have everything I need, along with very knowledgeable workers on staff!

Great new location..owner is friendly and knowledgeable...lucky to have it 10 minutes from my work...good tackle selection..live bait...good place to visit if you striper fish...they got bloodworms...and all the other stuff a striper fisherman might require

Dana (the owner of the tackle shop) has great advice (when it comes to fishing and equipment) and will tell you the best spots to go fishing fresh and salt water! if you need anything fishing go here!

So relieved I found a great rod repair place in town, everywhere I looked was way out in Kennybunkport or Freeport. If your GPS brings you to a big brick garage, just drive around the building to the right till you see the sign.

Nice tackle shop with freshwater fly and cast fishing supplies. Staff knew the stock very well and were able to get me in and out very quickly.

The Tackle Shop has everything you need! Plus, Dana is super helpful and knowledgeable for either fresh-water or ocean fishing gear and information!!
