The best thing about their shredded hardwood mulch is that it is a nice dark brown color. I drove in and paid for my mulch then with precision the nice fella dumped one yard into my truck. Friendly service. I highly recommend. I doubt I was there longer than five minutes. Another plus, the mulch doesn’t stink.

This is the only place in the Austin area that I would buy soil. I bought some a couple of years ago and its been great so Im making a another raised bed for more veggies!

I needed a good top dressing for my lawn and the folks over at Natural Gardeners pointed me to Geo Growers. They delivered 6 cu yds the next day, when they said they would, and the mixture was perfect for the lawn.

George was so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful! It took us about 5 minutes to figure out my garden problems (I have a few different ones!), and he gave me tons of info about them all. I'll be back for some bags of thunder garden asap!!!

Been getting dirt from Geo for years now and I'm a customer for life!! Great service and have established a personal relationship with me as their customer. Always greeted with a smile. Haven't ever had any problems with their dirt, no extraneous weeds and all my landscaping continues to thrive. I feel like the price is reasonable and they certainly value repeat customers. Purchased sand made from granite from Geo Growers. They supply bags that you can use to fill with the sand, soil or other types of dirt. Found the pricing to have a reasonable value relative to local home-improvement stores. Was referred here by a nursery and believe that this is wholesale shopping option for gardeners, landscapers and others. If I needed sand or dirt at wholesale prices I would come here again.

They mainly work with homeowners who want to do their own little home project.

They also have a phenomenal knowledge of anything and everything Texas dirt and soil-related to be able to guide you down the right path for your future project.

The key is to pay attention to the sign as you're going west on highway 290 to turn right on the dirt road as they moved just to block behind the building they used to be at.

They also have another building which they pulled a resources from this is just a storefront building that they have.

Very kind and helpful soil master was on site when I came by. They've started having a bag at yourself section at this location and I found out they're going to be consolidating and only operating out of this location. I'm a little sad because it's further of a drive for me, but I think it'll mean they'll have a larger variety of options of soil and compost to choose from as they'll have more space at this location. So I'm excited for that part.

Geo Growers has been my go-to for soils for any type of plant. I have had a great experience with Thunder Garden over the past 6 years, and only added Hasta Grow which I also buy from there. I use their pest products (organic) and they are effective. The staff are knowledgeable and kind.

We love this place! Great selection of well thought out soils and an array of turf toppers, particularly well suited for Belterra lawns! The staff is always super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - even with the most niche questions. They're even helping me with getting my lawn tested to make sure we're using the best product possible for my lawns specific needs.So happy to have this resource in our neighborhood!

Compost Tea brought my yard back to life in one application!

I have used three companies in Austin for soil for new raised vegetable gardens. Thunder Garden is the best soil I have ever used, and it retains its loft for many years without significant amendment. In fact, the soil I bought last year from another vendor is inferior to the Thunder Garden in my three-year-old beds. On top of that, Geo Grower's customer service and gardening advice is excellent. This is a great company that takes pride it its products.

We have used them for years, and have always been satisfied. When we purchase garden plants, they survive well and produce. Utilizing the advice from the employees has paid off in so many circumstances, for example. I have had tomato plants year after year, that just did not ripen or produce well, until I started using a product they recommended in the ground at planting of the plants. I have been very pleased with the results year after year. Thanks Geo Growers.

Second time we've been and we'll keep coming back. Everything you could need to put a new garden together and more for an amazing price. Roy greeted us at the gate and was very friendly and informative. Excellent price for half a yard of garden soil.

I bought two yards of dirt for my raised garden from Geo Growers and set it up for delivery. Daniel was the delivery driver and was fantastic! I anticipated an afternoon (maybe longer) of shoveling to get it from where they unloaded to my raised garden and was more than pleasantly surprised to have Daniel navigate right up to the edge of my raised garden bed. Don't let these people calling thunder garden "dirt" fool you, this is some seriously mineral rich stuff, and as any gardener knows, you always have to add amendments throughout the season which geogrowers provides plenty of, in response to those who complain about it being very well draining and sandy, try mulching!! uncovered soil is asking for trouble no matter what soil you use! of which they again, have an amazing selection of mulches at great prices, and my favorite for trees, magic mulch
