Market District Supermarket

We frequently stop in for quick meals and other random things we may have forgotten or needed while we're in the area. They have such an amazing variety of food and beverages, on top of a great selection of products and services! And the front of the store always looks so cute!

Absolutely gorgeous store. Beautiful produce, specialty cheeses, a foodies delight!

I don't think I've ever used the word "adorable" to describe a supermarket but, I'll use it this time. This market has a plethora of market dining options ranging from barbeque to sushi. Want to skip a meal and head straight for some selectable desserts? They have that too. There's even a carnival themed shop with cotton candy, fudge, popcorn, chocolate sure to delight. If you're a parent, you're gonna enjoy their forward-facing steering wheel shopping carts. The prices a higher than average unless you look out for their personal brand items. 9/10.

I just love Market District. Our daughter and family live in Carmel and we visit a couple of times each year. I love to visit MD during the holidays...they have amazing floral, holiday items, special food items and beautiful holiday displays. I was a sign artist and florist for a large grocery store in Florida for 8yrs, so I always take notice of floral departments and the signs advertising displays. The MDistrict store is always just beautiful. I also love their bakery...they do an amazing job. The store is just a favorite of mine when we come for a Carmel visit....💛Florida Girl🌞⛱🩴🩴

Lots of variety, One of the few places you can purchase dry aged beef. Their meat department display is excellent not the usual offering that are sadly displayed in other grocery stores. Nice pastry department with multiple choices on display.

I cannot say enough about how great this grocery store is. It is, hands down, the best grocery store in the Indianapolis market.

The selection of quality foods is unmatched. I also love their focus on sourcing local products. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and always ready to assist in any way they can.

The store is thoughtfully laid out with extra attention to detail on creative displays throughout. The wonderful lighting makes for a calm and soothing environment.

If Giant Eagle ever decides to expand in the Indianapolis market (which I hope they do), other inferior stores will be in for a rough ride and loss of market share.

Great supermarket with a hot bar type items. There are table and chairs to eat there, a Starbucks and a small restaurant. It's a really great resource to find slightly esoteric ingredients too. All in all, a great place to shop and the people who work there are super friendly. Wish it was a little closer so it could be our weekly shop.

Market District is my favorite grocery store by far. It's huge, but thankfully lacks that warehouse vibe. There's even a nice 2-level restaurant with bar on the east end. Even if you're a teetotaler like me, you still must check out the wine & spirits section in the back. It rivals many standalone liquor stores. I especially appreciate the hand-held scanner option. You scan items as you put them in your cart; then go to the "cool kids checkouts" where you just scan the bar code on the monitor, watch it populate an itemized list of your items, pay and be on your merry way.

Amazing spread in produce, meat, seafood & deli/prepared foods. Not to mention the delicious cookies (chocolate chip butter cookies!!!) & everything else in the bakery dept! My 8yr old son loves how many self checkout registers there are.

Amazing day. Walked up planning to get 1 porch planter and walked into a dream... 4.99 Ferns, 1.99 hanging baskets and super discount on my patio planter. I have always loved their plant selection and secretly it is nursery quality for half the price and ready to place as soon as you get home. And that is just outside. The inside is always delightful! Never disappointed!

Lots of local items, dry aged steaks and whole fish, fresh seafood, vegetables of all varieties, unique or hard to find items everywhere! 15/10 recommend shopping here! We absolutely love coming here from almost an hour away!

I love this place, they always have the best customer service and items. I had a mishap with my checkout order & had to take it to customer service desk to get it evened out and Eric was super helpful and nice. He made it seem as if he was happy to help us; even though it was a huge inconvenience. Thanks Eric!!

Best supermarket in Carmel. Good selection. Sometimes the staff even says hi which makes it even better. :) Another bonus - it’s always clean and welcoming.

Love this store but have especially loved the catering for family events. Special shoutout to Jason in Catering who is incredibly kind & helpful!

Such a wide variety for a mainline Giant Eagle grocery store. Can't wait for the one to open on the west side of Greenwood!

Very clean, great variety of fresh meats , produce, baked goods, seafood etc. Awesome looking cakes and pastries. The gentleman outside greeting everyone was super sweet and spoke to everyone that I saw as they walked up, as well as spoke as we left and invited us back They don't do that at stores where I live. We just happened to be up that way for an appointment and my 10y/o son was amazed at all the items they carry and how nice the gentleman out front was. Wish I lived closer I would definitely shop here

Wow, what’s a beautiful store! They have an on-site pharmacy, PNC Bank, and plethora of food! (Wait..... aren’t stores supposed to have a plethora of “food?”) (OMG!!! did I really just use the word “plethora?”)

Anyway, just come and shop here! It’s AMAZING! Even on a rainy day, the minute you step into the store, you just feel transported.

We love the freshly prepared food selections. Tons of choices that will satisfy just about any palate. Great produce selection. Excellent fish and meat choices. Check out the special candy area. Some things can be a little pricey though. The store is very clean and well laid out with nice big aisle’s. Not a fan of the layout for self checkout. All and all, the specialty food items make it a worthwhile trip.
