Trader Joe's

This place is always busy probably because it's right next to campus and across the street form some of the dorms. Trader Joe's is one of the few stores where it seems like every register is open to accommodate all the people in there. That alone is a rarity in itself. Staff here always want to talk to its like they hire all the extroverts who want to have a conversation with you while you're trying to check out, which is not a bad thing it's just funny in the difference when you see it on people who are trying the get through the lines and people who just want to see how your day is going. My favorite thing from this place is the seasonal ice creams that they have mine being the wild berry cheesecake ice cream which unfortunately I ate it all before I could take picture of it to the greatness of it. Looks like I'll just have to wait till next summer when it gets released again.

My favorite place to get weekly fresh flowers and exclusive -Trader Joe's only products for a quick meal. Even when the store is crowded, there's never a long wait in line. I appreciate the customer service.

Shop at Trader Joe’s each week, fair prices and have some unique items. Latest finds - wild/rocket arugula, less pepper taste than regular arugula and Korean kimbap, it’s similar to sushi.

I love this store. It feeds my food and plant addiction. 10/10 recommend

Trader Joe's is a great place to buy groceries in the heart of Davis, with affordable prices and very friendly staff. There are also many specialty goods and a huge selection of frozen meals that you really won't find anywhere else. Of course, as the only Trader Joe's in Davis, it's almost always very busy inside, with lots of college students frequenting the store.

Every place is a better place with Trader Joe's in town. Our Trader Joe's not only has all the food and beverage they're famous for, Italian Lemonade, Greek Yoghurt, English Cheeses, California Wines and Beers, Seasonal Produce, Foliage, Flowers and Plants, they're also home to some of the friendliest, most knowledgeable, helpful people in the grocery business. The only thing that would make this Trader Joe's better is if it were twice the size.

I go here too often. So much to do and buy! I’m a college student so it’s hard for me to make healthy and cheap meals on a budget, but Trader Joe’s is there for me on my lazy days. I love their frozen selection like their mashed potatoes, mandarin chicken, and ice cream. My god, their vegan ice cream is pretty darn good. I’m not even vegan hahaha I’m just lactose intolerant. Also like their salads and their burritos. They’re so cheap. And highly recommend their verde enchilada. It’s two meals for me, so if you have a housemate, you can split it. It’s so good. I also buy their plants — it’s a terrible habit but I’m not gonna stop hahaha I’m a plant mom :) I like that they sell veggies in small packs and micro greens. My bearded dragon 🐉 loves the veggies and it’s in the perfect size so it doesn’t go bad. Other places have too much and it goes bad. She loves the plants from Trader Joe’s and often I let her climb my succulents and flowers.. not recently because she’s a little chonk now and will destroy them lol

Always love my early Saturday morning shopping trips. I was so disappointed to learn the porkless pork rinds have been discontinued.

The freshest experience in Davis. Trader Joes has the best approach on food at the end of the day. All food is brought in fresh each day and what is left over at the end is donated. Food is delishious. Thank you Trader Joes for thinking of others and donating food.

Staff is very friendly. The whole store sang happy birthday for a cashier on last visit, customers and all!

There's reason why college students love to shop here: cheap frozen food and produce. But I wouldn't say the meats here are any cheaper than Safeway and Nugget. So besides meat, I would get everything else here. My two favorite items are the unpasteurized orange juice (which has won an SF Gate award) and their frozen soup dumplongs. The cashiers are always so friendly and make small talk despite how busy it gets.

The staff ate very nice and helpful and it is clean and organized in here. I will say it does get busy but what do you expect out of a college town.

Personally, I'm a big fan of the Trader Joe's® Chocolate Hummus. I recommend this product to any and all serious patrons.

Great place to make purchases. I'd recommend Trader Joe's to anyone wanting to purchase groceries around UC Davis.

This location was a favorite spot prior to the pandemic. Since the roll out and all of the changes that have happened during this time, this Trader Joes location has operated with mindful safety precautions. You may or may not need to wait in line outside as the count the number of people in the store at once. Masks are required and they are one of the a few grocers who sanitize carts for their customers. There is not pressure to finish your shopping in fact, it is easier to complete with less crowd at a time. There are taped lines on the ground to help direct check out lines and plexiglass up at the registers to prevent air share. The bathrooms remain open if necessary so it is up to us as customers to be on top of our own sanitizing should nature call. The staff are on top of, I would remind us shoppers to always remember that they show up to work perhaps because the 'have' to but it is taxing during this time on everyone so if possible, we can help them maintain their classic Trader Joes enthusiasm and kindness by acknowledging we appreciate they showed up to work. OK this post is about the store not the shoppers but it all goes together in my opinion. Thank you Davis Trader Joes! P.S. Pumpkin Brioche makes for an amazing French Toast!

Fast forward to October 2023. Students are back in full swing. Shopping everywhere has become fully populated including this store. Still a wonderful spot, love this establishment.

If you know what to buy and what's on sale you can buy a weeks worth of groceries for a good price.

Line are a bit long due to covid; however the staff does s good job to keep things moving & clean.

A quirky place. You'll find a ton of healthy options here, from nuts to dried and (not that many) fresh fruits, to kale chips. A good selection of cereal. GREAT PICKLE CHIPS. A good selection of alcohol, from hard, to wine, to beer, to seltzer, to cider, to hard kombucha.

I am know on Google for my honest reviews here is another one. This is one of the nest places to buy healthy snacks and organic items. They have a variety of stuff and a great staff. This is definitely my number 1 place for snacks shopping or getting bread or getting nice flowrers or juices. Definitely recommend
