Cafe Bernardo

One of my favorites in downtown Davis. Love the casual atmosphere. They have a separate bar area and make yummy drinks. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner. I love the salad sampler with the Kale ceaser with salmon being my favorite. I also love the Salmon BLT with a side of seasonal vegetables. Service is great. Outdoor seating is available.

My first time in Cali from Texas and I got the best breakfast in town! I ordered the bacon and avocado omelette. Seriously, been craving it everyday since. Service was great. Atmosphere was okay, wish it was a little more open considering how packed it is.

Super popular café in Davis California. There’s always a lot of people here because their food is excellent and they’re using organic ingredients. Personally I really enjoy their outside dining patio.

I cutting through Davis like I owned the place, I had make it to Cafe Bernardo before my old pal Nimitz Numbwatter or I'd have to pay for the pizzas! He was coming from Alcampa and I was coming from Napa and it's exactly 46 miles from our houses to Cafe Bernardo. We're both tied at 3 each, he won 3 and I lost 3...but this time I'm going to win! The pizzas were amazing, even though I had to pay.

Cafe Bernardo is a pleasant place for family and friends to meet for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The menu options are made with farm fresh ingredients for an enjoyable meal with each bite.Theres so much delicious food to pick from, like creamy steel oats with fruit or pancakes, fresh eggs and home-made chicken apple sausage, variety of salads, pizza, sandwiches, polenta, fish, burgers and so much more, I love that you can sit inside or outside for the enjoyment of this quaint little place right here in downtown Davis, CA. It's such a wonderful place to eat.

We are addicted to their salmon salad! The bib lettuce and light vinaigrette is paired with a perfectly prepared salmon filet. You order and pay at the counter, making it easy for a group to pay individually. Dine outside on their patio for a relaxing breeze!

My favorite place for breakfast in Davis. Quick counter service. Great pancakes, chicken sausage scramble, and avocado toast. Love their chai latte and carrot cake too. So delicious. Very busy during peak times.

Visited Sat morning. Friendly employees, awesome coffee & great tasting food. Loved their cookies, coffee & atmosphere. Location was busy with a long line so plan ahead. The line did move quickly!

I would recommend this location and suggest leaving a rating to help others.

Wish they had freshly squeezed OJ and grapefruit juice. Their food tasted great and I'd go back

I had an AMAZING experience at Cafe Bernardo! I was sent there for "the best brunch in Davis" by a coffee shop down the road, and it did not disappoint. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave great suggestions on what to order. The manager checked on me multiple times and made suggestions for other restaurants in Napa and Sonoma. I will absolutely be returning!

My friend and I had brunch here before going to the Michelangelo exhibit. The cooks weren't sure the eggs were antibiotic free, so I had the Belgian Waffle. It. Was. Excellent! We also had some good Bloody Marys. The staff were young, but friendly and sooo helpful. I will definitely be back, hopefully to have some eggs... I miss eating eggs when I'm out at a restaurant...
All in all, this restaurant is wonderful.

We ordered online for takeout, and it was ready as promised and given with a smile. Taste was great. It was kind of expensive, though, so this place is probably better for dine-in rather than take-out to justify that.

Cafe Bernardo has some amazing elevated sandwiches. Think craft bahn mis and Salmon BLTs. Their Turkey sandwich was also so much better than 98% of Turkey sandwiches. The food is fresh, high quality, and served at an affordable price considering the quality ingredients they use along with the great atmosphere. It’s a Davis/Sacramento staple.

We got the burrito, kimchi fried rice, and hot chocolate. Did not expect the portions to be so big at its price point. Absolutely loved it.

Visited for coffee and tea, was treated so kindly. The person taking our order was so patient and helpful to make sure our drinks were what we wanted.

Very busy but good service and good food. Our first visit was breakfast, liked it so much we went back for supper. Roasted Veg, sweet potato fries (excellent) French fries, Curry, cannellini soup.

We still love this place. Best bacon, eggs and potatoes in a 70 mile radius.

Surprising little spot. It's very low key, quiet place. I asked what their best dish was, and they recommended the salmon. It was amazing. Some of the best cooked salmon I've ever had. The farro was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I will have to come back and try more dishes. The Cuban my son had was delicious according to him.
