Very clean place! Nice inviting hostess/waitress. Engaging owner. Crab Rangoon was the best we've had. Great portion size and tasty meals! Possibly our new favorite sit down Chinese restaurant! Give them a try!

Delicious sweet and sour chicken lunch combo. The chicken pieces are big and taste good. Comes with a shrimp egg roll and I ordered crab Rangoon separately.

Wah Fu was a pleasant surprise. In the Middlebury plaza, next to Bagley grill, this little gem is just that; a find.

I got to it quickly! Ordered the freshest, most flavorful wonton soup I have ever had! Next up the Szechuan Gia Kew.
Wow! This spicy chicken stir fry was amazing. The chicken was so fresh and tender! I can actually imagine it walking about hours before! So well balanced with flavor and the appropriate balance of spice and flavor. The best thing, you can ask the chef to hold the msg.
Overall, very satisfying! I will find my way back.

Everyone was super nice and efficient. I ordered it the Empress chicken and was surprised at how much chicken you get compared to breading. I asked for extra spicy It was genuinely surprised with the heat. Good price for the amount of food you get too.

The shrimp toast was a little too greasy for me but the wonton soup is my favorite! Everything else we had was delicious! The crab Rangoon were so flavorful

It's crazy to be able say this, but I've been enjoying Wah Fu for almost 30 years now.

I now live about 45 minutes south of the restaurant, but I still visit regularly.

Most Chinese restaurants use the same formula: order frozen breaded meat from a supplier, dump it in a deep fryer, and coat it in a sugary sauce. It's pretty much all the same, no matter where you go.

Wah Fu is different, and everything is homemade. If you go, it's absolutely essential that you order their wonton soup and an egg roll. Once you've experienced those starters, you'll be able to tell everything is prepared fresh on site instead of shipped in from the cheapest supplier. The breading on their fried dishes? Obviously done by hand. The fried rice isn't an artificial "yellow" color like most places, and you'll instead find real chunks of pork, egg, and green onion within.

It's not for everybody. If you grew up liking the "fast food style" Chinese, you may not like Wah Fu, but if you're a person who appreciates a family that has established its own recipes and still prepares things from scratch, you'll be hard pressed to find a better spot. From talking to others about Wah Fu, I have found it's very polarizing: You either absolutely love it or absolutely hate it. It doesn't seem there is anything in between.

The inside is nothing special and won't wow you with decor. Their servers are friendly and helpful, but there's no showy gimmicks. The star of the show here is the food, but shouldn't that be what a restaurant is about?

My only complaint: I miss their homemade duck sauce.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant outside of Asiatown. Excellent (yeah, Americanized) Chinese food. The staff is very nice, food is hot, fresh, and fast.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant. My family has been coming here for over 35 years. They have great food, and great service.

Been coming to Wah Fu since 1987 born take out and eat in. Number 16/ sweet and sour chicken never disappoints.

The Wonton Soup is the best. I always buy 2 Quarts to go home. One for dinner, and another to enjoy the next day.

Amazing restaurant and lovely atmosphere no matter what circumstances walks through there door they stay composed warm and welcoming and the food was extremely amazing and we will be back

The food was tastier than at other Chinese joints nearby.

We ordered pork fried rice, pork lo mien, sweet & sour chicken and beef broccoli for a large group (60 people). The food was excellent. They were very generous and easy to work with. We highly recommend this restaurant!
