My friend found this restaurant and thought we would give it a try. Upon arrival, we were met with a pleasant, subtle, and friendly environment. Ordering food took just a bit but didn't take too long. After ordering the Chashu don, it took a good while before the food had arrived at the table. The Chashu don was great though! The pork had this really good savory taste and in combination with the rice was pretty fulfilling. I left the place pretty satisfied and content.

In short, the food is great and the place is great as well.

AMAZING! From the customer service to the food, I have never had a bad experience here. We were greeted by Samantha and she had the best energy even after dealing with a very rude and unpleasant customer. It was evident he just wanted to take his frustration out on her and not genuinely seek a resolution with a pickup order on a very busy Saturday night at the best ramen spot in San Antonio. She handled herself in a professional manner in a tense situation and I was impressed with her. She even suggested a really great plum wine that I’ll be ordering from now on for future visits. Keep up the good work! Can’t wait for my next Kimura fix. :)

PS- the house spice is a MUST add-on!

We walked in at 9:30p (they close at 10:30p) and they were great from start to finish. Smiles and help offered from sit down to walking out the door. The food was amazing and fresh. Will definitely be going back.

The ramen is 🔥 fire. The noodles are bussin'. The atmosphere is low-key chill. No cap. The gyoza took a while to come out but that's necessarily not a bad thing. The vibe is lax. Exposed brick open-concept kitchen restaurant. Very homie vibe while you recharge your energy with some good food.

The place was absolutely amazing; I went for my birthday and had a great time. The food was fresh but not burning hot, service was friendly, and the place was very clean. I also had some of their drinks and it was really good!

When you walk in, the staff greets you in Japanese. Over all vibe is chill and relaxed. If you are not familiar with Japanese food, the staff is more than willing to walk you through their menu. Food is fresh and made to order. The Gyoza is on point. The upstairs bar is also a nice choice to hang out. Definitely coming back!!

Japanese eatery run by local chef by keeping the traditional Japanese cooking to its roots. Enjoyed!
Only improvement would be the rice - perhaps less water?

Had the tonkatsu and it was delicious. I normally don’t drink the broth but… I finished it! Highly recommend it.

I would give 6 stars to service and food if I could. Will definitely be coming back! We got the Tonkotsu ramen and the pineapple lemonade and it was AMAZING.

Food was delicious. Ramen was great and filling. The soup broth is very rich but a little on the salty side so great for drinking something strong and having something warm on a cold night.

First time here with a friend who wanted to check out this new location. I was told they used to be downtown in a smaller space. This one is nice with lots of tables, an upstairs area plus a parking lot!

The food -- O M G! Really good Ramen. I ordered the Tonkotsu with braised pork belly. It is delicious and the flavors are delicious.

Also ordered the new Japanese fried chicken appetizers, charred edamame and gyoza. Fantastic flavors!

I had the fried chicken appetizer and Tonkatsu ramen. The fried chicken is delish w a large portion. The ramen is nice. The restaurant is beautiful. And the staff greets you when you enter / leave the place like in Japan.

We were in the area on a Saturday night looking for a place to dine in. We came across this place and decided to check it out (1st time here). As soon as we opened the door we were greeted by a super bubbly host. She gave us time to look at the menu and even offered a few suggestions. We ordered a pitcher of Saporo on draft, which Is uncommon to find this beer on draft in this city. The beer was perfectly cold. The building architecture is beautiful, finished with raw brick and industrial design. Suddenly I see a chef preparing the dishes and I knew we were in for a treat. Meanwhile we find a table in the back room and enjoy our Saporo and apps. The atmosphere was intimate and cozy but the temperature in the room was warm (no ac). We didn't mind. The music didn't match the ambience tho (metal was the genre) and a bit loud. Also, dont expected a server to come check on you. Once you sit down you're on your own. You pour your own water and grab your own eating utensils. They'll only clean up after you. Anyhow, the food arrived approximately 18min later. HUGE servings. The broth in the Ramen was FLAVORFUL and well seasoned. The noodles were cooked perfectly. I had to compliment the chef and owner on my way out. The dishes were exceptionally delicious! I will also try their other location, their pizzeria, soon! Needless to say, we had a very pleasant dinning experience!
I will certainly be coming back for more delicious food!! Check them out for yourself!!

Anything negative I have to say is related solely to my taste preferences, so putting those preferences aside I have to give this place a 5/5! The atmosphere first most is incredible. Parking leaves a lot to be desired, but the patio and inside are both well done. The food came out a tiny bit slow but we showed up at dinner rush and you can see the food being prepared. Great customization options with plenty of favor! The spice bomb is mean and delivers on heat.

The only issue I do have is the portion size is pretty small for the price. I asked for the bok choy upgrade and got two pieces, and the mushrooms are fantastic but I only had three. The pork belly is super small compared to other ramen locations and they seemed to cover the small portion with a heaping of the seasonal veg. I'd love to see just a bit more of the toppings for the price.

I'd recommend to a friend!

Food was great. Vibe was great. Service was great. Overall wonderful experience. We sat upstairs and enjoyed good music with our happy hour priced drinks and appetizers. Ramen came at a reasonable time and was delicious. Would recommend going upstairs during happy hour.

Some excellent food here, place is inviting with outdoor seating available. Asahi available on draft, with a good selection of drinks for all age groups. The broth is good till the last drop, and the Bok Choy is grilled just right to complement the rest of the items in your bowl. The parking situation is slightly better from downtown, but this is a great place for a midweek pick me upper . Ask for spicy 🌶🫚🍜🍶

It was my first time stopping by, and I can assure that it WON'T be the last time. I ordered the Katsudon, which is a rice dish with a breaded pork cutlet and an egg on top. It gives fried rice vibe....just absolutely AH-MAY-ZING!!

If you love Ramen/Japanese food, you have to try this place out. From the time you order, you are made to feel very welcomed. Samantha was very sweet and helped us order. All the staff seems like a family. They seem to all work very well together, like a well oiled machine. The ramen is delicious, and their homemade ice cream, WOW, just WOW.. I highly recommend this place. Props to the Chefs/Cooks, specially Johnathan.
