Best emergency staff in town. Each time I have a life threatening accident, this is the first place I go! I have never had a nurse handle my catheter with such confidence before. Matt is an expert in his field and I would recommend him to anyone needing life saving care.

If it had not been where they lifeflighted my person would not be alive today!! The vascular surgeon was very knowledgeable, got him in and stopped the bleeding, fixed him all up,and did extra work even. The icu is not a place you want to be,but all the nurses and drs there just want to help you feel better. Beat hospital in the metro area. Plus they have a reasonable cost Family center sor family's can be near their loved

I have had 2 breast biopsies. My first was at a different place and very traumatic when the doctor didn't believe that I could feel the scalpel. Here, despite giving me a huge dose, they did believe me, which was when we learned that it isn't the dose, but it just takes longer to kick in for me for whatever reason. Now I've learned something about my body that will help me avoid being able to feel my body being cut open again. I really, really appreciate how kind and compassionate everyone was while I was going through a really scary experience (barely 40 and needing a biopsy of 2 sites). I've since had a similar experience for a different issue, where the Providence provider was so attuned to listening to the patient (me) & it resulted in better care. I only see them, or their parnter Oregon Clinic, now

Angiogram team is a hoot, calming and efficient. Prep and recovery nurse was an excellent educator. Very caring staff. Front desk sent us to the wrong floor but we found our way. Also Providence patient housing is so helpful for we out of towners.

Gave birth here and had an amazing and supportive team. They respected my culture and religious beliefs. I had amazing nurse, midwife, and doulas. I would highly recommend any pregnant woman to deliver here. You get your own suite and they provide three meals for you as you stay for 24 hour observation. 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Everyone was very helpful and friendly with me. They got me triaged quickly and placed in a room to get a CT scan done asap. Thankfully they were able to diagnose my appendicitis very quickly and get the results back to me.

My wife’s experience was a good one. The surgeons explained the procedures very well and make us feel more confident about the outcome. The care team was excellent during her stay , very professional and caring. unlike Riverbend in Eugene. Very glad we came
to Portland for her care.

The pediatricians here are awesome, I have a Staph infection right now, my vision in my right eye is blurry, etc. I'm falling apart. But man, I went to the pediatrician's office today and I was taken care of super well. The nurse was SO sweet when I had to get my vaccinations. Doctor answered all my questions and told me everything I needed to know and helped get me an "urgent" referral to a specialist so my staph doesn't spread. (RIP me the antibiotics didn't work.)

It was really funny though when the doctor I was seeing called in a second doctor, and the second doctor called in a third one. But seriously, I've been going to these pediatricians ever since I was a baby. I'm a teenager now but I've never had bad experience here, it's super chill and I feel like I matter to the people who take care of me.

Tl;dr: Your kids will be in good hands here. Shoutout to the pediatricians who work here. Thanks y'all :)

Caring doctors, nurses and social workers in the ER. It was very slow, because ERs are such busy places, but the caregivers were friendly, helpful and caring overall.

I had an excellent experience at Providence Portland recently when I was transferred there from Providence Hood River with a small bowel obstruction.

My situation was extra complicated due to a very large dead tumor in my abdomen. The neuroendocrine tumor was dead from cancer treatments I had received at Envita in Scottsdale, Arizona, but I hadn't found any surgeons willing to risk removing it. But, as God's will unfolded, it was apparent that the surgical team and support staff I needed was at Providence Portland. The risky, major surgery was completely successful!

I spent over two weeks at Providence Portland in the surgical oncology wing and found the facilities, the staff, and the nurses to be excellent. Unlike other hospital experiences, everyone at Providence Portland was polite, helpful, and compassionate. The staff was quick to answer my calls for a nurse and I felt very cared for.

Great medical facility where we had to come for my uncle. We have a huge family and they were so understanding with having so many people coming in to say goodbye. It was so easy to park and find where we needed to go. We really appreciated how nice all of the employees were that we saw and talked to.

I just spent the last 3 days and 2 nights in the Neuroscience Unit at Providence Portland after the ER and I have to say, every single person that worked with me, from doctors, nurses, CNA, housekeeping, and even the people who work in Food Services, every single person was AMAZING! They all genuinely care, are exceptionally friendly, and very very attentive and extremely knowledgeable.
Dr. Z, thank you for listening to my every question and concern, thank you for being 100% real (potty mouth and all), thank you for not just brushing my symptoms off like so many others before you, and thank you for actually finding something to help me!
The ER doctor (I’m really sorry but I forgot your name), James (the ER nurse), Unit Nurses Stephanie, TJ, Valerie, Eddie, Mark, Gracie, uncountable CNAs, Thomas from Food Services…thank you all! You all helped make a very stressful and scary time in my life WAY LESS stressful, WAY LESS scary, and actually bearable.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! ❤🙏

I might be biased because I work here, but I had a great experience in the ED & OR. Every caregiver I encountered showed me compassion and added in some humor which made a stressful situation a bit easier. Thank you Dr. Burchfield for your prompt work up and diagnosis in the ED. Thank you Dr. Gill for being oncall and prompt getting me to surgery. You both explained things in a way that made sense and had excellent professionalism. I walked into the ER at 7:30 pm and was discharged after surgery by 4:30 am.

The nurses and case managers have been extremely helpful with caring for and assisting with trying to find permanent housing for an aging patient.
