excellent value right on the beach, pet friendly.
Quiet close to shops, just a 2 minute. Walk quiet friendly people. And the views are amazing if you're on a budget, this is a great place to go. Love to go out on the beach from our back door. Nice cute shops in the local town gives you the feel of a small town. Love it.

Great location right on the beach. Smaller rooms but really perfect spot to watch the sunsets, have a drink and enjoy our great Oregon coastline. Better prices than the busier beaches.

Rooms -beds and furniture- are a bit dated but the price is amazing as well as the pet friendliness & location which cannot compare. We had a beachfront room with a door lright out to the beach. The front desk staff are all very nice and there is laundry onsite and ample parking. A 2 minute walk into the main town.
Can't wait to return!

Highly recommended!!! Location, location, location! Steps from the sand and ocean, Silver Sands has great rooms with unobstructed view of the ocean straight from your bed. Silver Sands is easy to find, close to shops and restaurants and is in a quiet area that makes Rockaway Beach feel like your own private beach. The motel is in a safe and secure location and has space around it to hang out or to stretch out a bit.

This place is hands down the best place to stay in Rockaway Beach!! The rooms are huge, they have a kitchenette, and you can walk out to the ocean!! We absolutely love this place, and look forward to seeing them next year!! The price was very nice!!

I really enjoyed this place. It's not the Ritz. My room was basic but a beautiful ocean view. The appliances worked and the location...on the beach...for the rates...you can't beat it. Next time I'll get one with a kitchenette. It's located in walking distance to restaurants...local mart...etc. The staff is super friendly. I had a very enjoyable experience.

Great for a short one night stay!

Our room said it had a partial view, however as you can see in the pictures you have a huge view of the ocean. It says partial view because the window is not actually facing the ocean. Don't be fooled by the pictures or the sign there is no longer a pool or hot tub. They say they're doing remodeling however it doesn't look like they're doing anything right now. The beach it is attached to is a nice, and easy to access.

Casual place to stay. Incredible location right on the beach!!! With sunset views, sandy beach at your doorstep, and ongoing ocean sounds. Piece and haven. We stayed for 6 days and really enjoyed it. I never stayed directly at the beach before. I loved it. No driving, no parking, no headaches!!! Easy. I got to run on the beach every morning, breathing fresh cool air, taking it all in....just recharging. The place itself is not a 5 star experience BUT the location and the price is great and it worked awesome for us. I paid $560 for a 5 night stay and i say for Oregon that is quite nice! Happy with my stay, would stay here again. Thank you for fresh towels, clean rooms and kindness.

Basic motel set up. Great for kids and families or even a budget conscious romantic getaway. The hotel is very close to the water, and the rooms have amazing views. It's just a short walk (like 100ft) over the dunes via sandy footpaths to a very scenic beach. You can see the waves over the dunes even from the first floor where we were at. The beds are nothing special, but satisfactory for a person with a bad back. The bathroom was immaculately clean. It's an older facility but nicely redone for the room rates.

Quaint little place, just off the main Hwy, ON the beach. Downtown is easy walking, with great coffee, cafes, and shops! These pics were just out our door.

I want to write 4.5 stars out of 5. Only because my wife didn't feel safe that part of the building settled a little uneven, it felt that everything was leaning one way a little bit from the 2nd floor.

Other than that, hands down would go back in a heart but pick a ground floor stay. Stars at night were amazing and the access to the beach was fantastic. Convenient location.

Wow!! Awesome rooms, super affordable, and absolutely amazing customer service. Melissa and Megan at the front desk were super sweet and extremely helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Clean and comfortable:

Was a little concerned that I would not have a view of the beach from my room above the office, but it turned out I have an excellent view. The room was clean upon arrival. Very comfortable bed--I believe I slept nine hours the first night. Pleasant staff. Plenty of parking. Within walking distance to the restaurants, bars and shops.

I will book with this motel again in the future.

What a great stay! The hot tub, sauna and pool were a comfortable temperature. The rooms were clean and comfortable as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had a nice kitchenette and enough room for four adults. The convenience of the view and a door leading to the beach made it just right.

My Husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Silver Sands Motel. The staffing was really nice and greated us with a Big smile.This was our first stay with them but in no way were we treated as strangers. It's an older motel but our room was nice and clean and very spacious. We were on the ground floor and we had a back door that opened up to the beach access and a small patio area where we can sit and enjoy the sights. I will strongly recommend Silver Sands to everyone. Thank you for making us feel like a guest in your establishment and not a dollar sign.

Was able to switch from a non pet friendly room to one that was at the last minute. Wow! The room was right on the beach. Like you walk out the back door and your feet are in the sand, and the price was great for a super busy summer weekend. Will be back again next time I hit the coast.

We loved this place! We had a walk out room and it was so convenient. The rooms are dated but it adds to the charm. We stayed at another "on the beach" hotel in seaside and wished we were still at this one. There is no ac but you get a nice breeze with the window open. Easy walk to eating and shopping. Only suggestion would be a place to rinse off from the beach so you aren't tracking sand through the room?? Other than that, it was a great place! We'll definitely be back!!!

Loved it! Convenient walking distance to food and shopping. The pool was very well kept. When I complimented them they said they had recently sent maintenance to "pool school"... it showed! No chlorine smell or itch. Walked out the back door into the sand dunes and on to the beach. Friendly staff, tidy rooms. They are renovating some rooms so look for updated reviews. Definitely would recommend for a family weekend away or a stop on the way along the coast.
