Referred here and well worth the drive, tons of free parking available, self guided tour of the actual operations of the real factory. So we’ll put together, very clean, free samples available. There is a store with food and souvenirs, which were very expensive. And there is a restaurant that had so many options, pricey but delicious, also an ice cream store with huge servings. Highly recommend and would return.

I recently went to the Tillamook Creamery and was so surprised by how awesome this place was! The building you go into is a really modern looking structure with a super cute cow mural on the front. This place is by itself but looks like it would be right at home in some swanky downtown area. When you get in you can go straight up the stairs to do the self guided tour or you can visit the gift shop or food court. They make it really easy to get around and see everything you want without much hassle. My husband and I went on a Friday morning so there were barely any lines for the food court and when we did our self guided tour there was no one else there with us. It was cool being able to take our time at each station and watch the process of how they make and package their cheese. There were also a few free cheese samples to pick up after your tour. We ate in the food court and the hamburger we got was delicious. They also had a decent beer selection. We got some ice cream after lunch which was, of course, excellent. The gift shop is full of fun memorabilia to purchase and a bunch of different food items as well. My husband and I spent WAY too much money buying gifts for family and stuff for us. I have heard from friends that Tillamook can be packed so I would recommend going during the week if you can. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend going to this factory if you are in the area.

If in the area or visiting Portland do yourself a favor and this to your to do list! The drive from Portland through the Tillamook National Forest was absolutely stunning!

When we arrived to the creamery it was very clean, modern and inviting. They offer a guided tour or self guided. We choose self guided. They have an upstairs area which will allow you to view the manufacturing process of the cheese. You can also get free cheese samples on that floor.

Downstairs they have a cafeteria area as well as an ice cream shop. When getting your ice cream you have many options cones, bowls, cups etc. We choose the flights which allows you to pick 3 flavors. The only down fall is that you can’t taste sample the ice cream so that made it a little difficult to pick which we wanted. Especially since we had never tried this brand. No worries here we ended up picking some amazing that did not disappoint.

If you have never been to a creamery you are missing out! The ice cream is sooooo fresh!

Such a fun and memorable place. Exceeded my expectations for a creamery factory. They had a showroom, free samples, a huge gift store, ice cream and food court. It was disney world for cheese! They have a self guided tour option where you walk around the upstairs. We bought the guided tour and tasting, which we thought was worth it. The tour guide was very fun and knowledgeable. The tour ends with a tasting of their Maker’s Reserve aged cheese in a private room. Highly recommend stopping by.

Wow, has this place changed since our last visit, 40 years ago. What hasn't changed is that the cheese is the best. But now they have ice cream, yogurt, chocolate , and so much more, and did I mention the samples? A true tourist destination.

Loved it!
We did the self guided tour and it was amazing. Best thing is it was free.
The process of how cheese is made is displayed in different stages.
There is a section to buy cheese ice cream and food . There are around over 100 varieties of cheese in display available for purchase.
Don’t miss the limited edition flavors

They have paid guided cheese and ice cream tours as well.

What a really good experience! I loved all the decor and the self guides tour! I learned so much in so little time. Awesome watching the cheese making process. The small theater was cool too. Free cheese samples. Fresh ice cream with creamery only exclusives available too. The gift shop was great and I wish I would have bought more stuff!

Our visit to Tillamook Creamery during our trip to Oregon was a delightful experience that exceeded our expectations. Exploring the factory and tasting a variety of cheeses was a highlight, and enjoying a delicious lunch at their café, followed by their famous ice cream, added to the enjoyment. The staff were exceptionally friendly and the ice cream tasted incredibly fresh.

Our little one was especially thrilled with the ice cream, making the experience even more memorable. For anyone in the area, we highly recommend making a stop at Tillamook Creamery. Whether it's a family outing or a trip with friends, it offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy quality time together and indulge in delicious treats. Don't miss out on this delightful experience that is sure to please everyone in your group.

Very nice drive coming from Portland. We arrived shortly after opening which was great because it hadn’t gottten busy yet. Pretty cool to watch the entire cheese making process from the viewing area with descriptions of everything. Lots of cool history about the area and Tillamook. Very nice gift shop where you can also buy their cheeses. The gift shop has some Tillamook pet gear. The restaurant was very good and you got a lot for the money. Ice cream was of course great as well. Great family trip idea.

By far the best cheese on the market. The factory tour and facilities are top notch. As a Native Oregonian I'm very proud of what Tillamook cheese has done. Really a wonderful place to see how it's made PLUS you can buy all the good stuff you want and the souvenirs are the bomb. Great for all ages.

Super cool space with lots of fun cheese info. My husband and I did the guided tour. It was quick, fun, and included a cheese tasting. The store has tons of delicious (duh, it’s Tillamook) cheeses and all sorts of snacks and cute merch. We shared a grilled cheese and tomato soup which was fresh and yummy. After our tour we shared an ice cream flight. The only rough part of this tour is figuring out which ice cream flavors to choose and how much room you have in the car for all of the goodies you want.

Watching the cheese making process was interesting. Unfortunately, maintenance on part of the process precluded watching the large 40# blocks turned into the smaller retail sizes. The ice cream was lovely

This might sound cheesy but the Tillamook tour was grate. It was a rainy day but I said we needed to stop feeling Bleu and cheese the day. So we took the hour and a half trip to the factory with my chedder half. We started out the tour in the wrong line. We were in the line for food so I said we gouda get one of everything on the menu. After $100 check we had a food tour of Tillamook all because I couldn't cheese wisely.
After gouda enough food we started the self guided tour. We learned about how the cows are ethically treated with a padded bed, a monitor to tell how much exercise the cows get and robots to ensure the cows food were within reach. Then we toured the production areas to see how would class cheese manufacturing is done. I swiss we had more time but we needed leave. There's no whey I will miss a chance to return for another visit. I havarti think anyone else should pass on this opportunity to visit.

This was a new but fun experience for our family. We just relocated out here and are getting to know the area. My kids had a great time on the self guided tour and learning about the process of making cheese. They had a blast in the Tillamook van photo op and hands on with learning how to milk the cow statue and feed the calf. They loved the cheese samples as well, but let's face it, their favorite part was the ice cream.

Visited the Tillamook Creamery Cheese Factory for the first time ever in my life and it was quite the experience in a positive manner. It was very educational on how they treat and take care of their dairy cows, how they create their yogurt, ice cream, and cheese's and how they age their products and test their products. Then after the factory walk through I purchased over $100 from their gift shop with a 10% military discount and then purchased a root beer float and a double cheddar grilled cheese with fries. Then I left and drove north up the coast to head home! Wonderful experience and great place to checkout by yourself, with friends, or family members and kids!

Tillamook is always a fun place to go for an outing from Cannon Beach. Getting cheese samples there while watching the processing plant is fun. The kids always grab some ice cream and Mac and cheese. Thanks Tillamook for being a great PNW brand and being open to the public.

As always, the best ice cream ever. Brought our visitors from Arizona this time. They loved watching the processing of cheese and the samples, too, and the gift shop.
