Nehalem River Dike Trail

Nice, level walk along the dyke. Easy. Not suitable for WC or motorized scooter as there is a gate you have to walk around and the trail is narrow and does not afford ample space to get around.

Views are lovely... If you look above and past the water treatment plant. Expansive views of the mountains to the east and of the Nehalem River.

Parking is kind of weird as you either have to park (close) to the entry along the side of the road... Or park in the boat launch overflow parking area and walk under the overpass to the dyke trail.

Worthy adventure if you are close...but be aware of doggie landmines. Popular area to walk dogs by the piles of dog feces evident along the path.

Good place for walking your dogs. Good view of the river.

It's flat, it's got a river view and a view of the water treatment plant. Great wildlife viewing area.
