East County Church of Christ

A non-exclusionary, but distinctively Christian group. These are not followers of the Republican Jesus -- I heard a sermon last week about how we are united with Muslims and should seek to work together, not try to convert them.

Everyone is welcome as long as they do not drive others away.

I love this church. Everyone is accepted and loved at the Table of the Lord here. Services are at 10:30 every Sunday in person, but you can also join on zoom!

This is a place of acceptance and support. God's word comes alive through relevant teaching, and real people stive to live together in simple transparency.

This is definitely a "progressive" church, if that's what you're looking for. Very nice people. On the other hand, not exactly what one would expect from the Restoration Movement. If you think Paul was wrong about elders being strictly male, think Jesus was NOT creating an example of leadership by choosing only males to be His apostles and believe that you can refer to God using any gender that suits you, this is the church for you. I very surprised to hear a Native American prayer that praises creation (rather than the Creator) used as the closing prayer.
