My car's clutch gave out at 9pm and the clerk was incredibly kind, gave me a bottle of brake fluid from her car and I ended up getting a snack and some soda to return the favor as best I could.

I used to be a regular at this Plaid. Moved away about a month ago and already I miss the wonderful people who work here. The graveyard guy with long hair was always great to have a bit of small talk with when buying my cigarettes, and the older lady who works mornings is an absolute sweetheart. This Plaid should count itself lucky for having such positive and hard working people compared to the dumpster fire Plaid I now have to patron (the one on SE Grand in Portland has the rudest, worst employees I have ever seen)

Nice, handy convenience store. Gets you out of trouble. Junk food, snacks, hard to find snacks and drinks, from soft to wine.

If the national average is correct, I have visited 1,326 convenience stores in my life. The biggest problem with this is that there is only 1 Cole. Cole regularly provides the best service and greets every customer (not just me!) with a warm welcome and makes my visits to Plaid Pantry less than a chore and something I actually enjoy. Once while I was in a jam and needed dog food, he pulled out his phone and actively did research on which of their dog food would be best for my dog. I have never had a store hand willing to help me out in this way. Plaid Pantry would do well to hire as many Coles as possible and in the absence of other Coles, each Plaid Pantry would do well to be as much like Cole as possible.

The lady working the register tonight (11/1/22 at 6:45pm) as a GEM. Sweet and fun personality. She should honestly be in bigger sales or a bartender or server or something because she’s GOT IT. This plaid is lucky to have her.

The guy Donald, has amazing customer service, definitely knows how to put someone in a better mood. He definitely needs a pay raise! Keep up the good work Donald!!!

Lost of munchies an friendly

I was here on business from out of town, These little plaid shops seem pretty expensive.

I talked to the guy at the counter. And apparently plaid pantry has raised all their prices here in Portland.

$2 For a small cup of coffee? I probably will not be shopping at these places anymore.

My fiance frequently shops at this location. He spends a significant amount of money here, only to constantly be given issues by the employee's at this location. He always asks for his items to be double bagged in the larger bags at checkout, and is always given grief each time by their "assistant manager" Nell. During today's visit, he made the same usual request to have his items double bagged, but this time, they took things to another level. Nell outright refused to double bag the items in the larger bags (the normal bags mind you, not the expensive $.025 reusable ones) and single small bagged, and single big bagged the items. When my fiance again repeated his request to have the items bagged as requested, they once again refused. At this point, another employee Simien accused my fiance of theft, stating that he's stolen items. When my fiance confronted Simien over the completely false alleged theft, he gave a false list of a couple items, while being told by Nell "not to worry about it". My fiance at this point asked for the store manager's name and was given the name Linda Martin. My fiance will be reaching out to the store manager tomorrow regarding this incident. On another note, during a separate prior incident, Nell refused to allow my fiance to use their sink to rinse blood off of his hands, which he had gotten on them from the location's front door handle and simply offered him a dirty rag. These are horrible, unethical, prejudiced, and racist people whom need to be fired, and furthermore penalized for their false accusation's and immoral treatment. I couldn't be more disgusted with the behavior of the staff at this location. Avoid this Plaid Pantry at all costs!

Very rude ladies that work here. I think they are very racist especially the blonde one that works graveyard. Looking in to the store to see if it's corporately owned or privately. Definitely will never go back and looking into filing a bigger complaint.
