This place was recommended by a friend and it was my first time ordering Mofongo. Other than the fact it was a bit dry, it tasted amazing! All the food here was good. I ordered a Mofongo with Shrimp and a Beef and Cheese empanada. Service was great and they even handed out plantain chips that they were experimenting with to every table. Awesome experience and will definitely be coming back for more 😄

Found this restaurant while visiting my daughter in Chester and I’m glad I did. This place is legit. I had pernil with rice and gandules, and chicken with rice and beans. Both dishes were AMAZING. I had an alcapuria and sancocho while waiting for my food and both delicious. Even though it is a half hour away, it is absolutely worth the drive. They will see me again very soon.

From the moment we walked in it felt familiar and welcoming. The smells of home cooking instantly brought a smile to our face, and a hunger for EVERYTHING! Cafe El Camino offers an array of authentic, traditional and savory Puerto Rican food with several vegan and vegetarian options as well. The vegan mofongo was next level delicious. The vegetarian empanadas are amazing, but my absolute favorite was the vegetable rice and salad with the housemade dressing. The portions are large and the service was like being en la casa de Abuela. Jonathan and Elizabeth were incredible hosts and chefs. Looking forward to our next visit.

Wicked good food and the nicest, most accommodating staff. We all loved the complimentary soup (described as a sancocho/chicken soup hybrid), the hot sauce and the garlic sauce are flavorful, and the empanadas were my favorite! There's tons of choices and I don't think you could go wrong with what you pick.

Absolutely wonderful. If you're looking for Puerto Rican food, this is your stop.

The mofongo just doesn't get any better. If you like plantains cooked a variety of ways, pulled pork, chicken wings and things that are fried to golden perfection, this place will be your jam.

Not sure if you like plantains, even know what a plantain is or if you like Puerto Rican food? All the more reason to stop in! Get the sampler and try a little bit of everything.

BEST PUERTO RICAN AND OVERALL SPANISH FOOD I’VE HAD HERE! I had the rice with gandules and it’s the best rice I’ve ever had. I was able to try the white rice with beans as well and the beans were absolutely delicious! The carne frita was perfectly fried yet amazingly juice; and the crackling chicken was seasoned to perfection ! My taste buds are the happiest they’ve been since I got to New Hampshire 2 months ago! Not to mention the service was impeccable. The owner made sure that we felt at home ! Treating us to everything possible ! He was so, so sweet and personable it was unbelievable. I was extremely happy the whole time I was there and comfortable ! If I could give it 10 stars I would ! It’s a MUST for all Spanish food lovers. Will be coming back often 💘 I wish I would’ve taken more pictures of the food

Can I just say YES!!! It's hard to find a good Spanish restaurant with such in depth flavor profiles. I had the fried pork with Spanish rice and beans. I couldn't find a single technical error. And those empenadas (if I'm saying it correctly) are to die for!!!! Such friendly people the owner knows what he's doing for sure.

WOW! My first bite I was very much enjoying every taste. Fresh authenticate ingredients made my taste buds explode. I could not believe how good the rice tasted almost had this smoked meat flavor to it. The service was awesome. John took very good care us and his mom was so sweet. The soup (levanta muertos) was the bomb. Not on the menu but John gave us a small bowl. His grandmother taught him well. It was heaven. Definitely a place to take your mom and enjoy very good food.

Primarily for take-out, there are a few tables to sit at if you'd like to eat in. The food is INCREDIBLE and the service is extremely friendly. Wish I lived closer but if I did, I'd likely weigh 500 lbs!

Best Spanish food I've had in years! So glad I found this place! Better than any restaurants I've been to in Lawrence and Lynn. So impressed. Tastes like home made food I'd eat at a family members house. I loved it!

My family and I have been enjoying Cafe' El Camino's food for several years. From the absolutely addictive empanadas, who can eat just one? To the roast pork, amazing, and the platters we order during the holidays and special occasions everything has been well prepared and representative of traditional Puerto Rican foods. Cannot say enough about this wonderful restaurant and its owner. You have got to try it!

Took a little stroll to Plaistow, NH.
Found a place called “Cafe El Camino”.
From Manchester is about 40 minutes, but if you’re interested in Puerto Rican food that gives you that Nostalgic feeling from when you used to grow up In P.R., this place is great to eat at and in my opinion the closest you can get to a home cooked meal.
I had ordered a beef steak and onions with plantains, white rice and beans. Also ordered potato balls or rellenos de papá stuffed with meat but they didn’t last long and ate them before I even pulled out of the parking lot. I ordered my wife the traditional mofongo with carne Frita and even though she is Dominican, this is one of her favorite Puerto Rican dishes.
Food was delicious and reminded a lot of home.
Thank you for that great meal and I recommend it to anyone looking for really good tasting and beautifully presented Puerto Rican food.

We were visiting MA. There's no good Puerto Rican food where we live. We searched for restaurants in the area but nothing caught our eye until we saw the reviews and photos of this spot in NH, so I made the drive. This is a family owned business making authentic Puerto Rican food, from scratch, on a daily basis.

When I entered, 2 women were walking out with a big box of take out food. There were people in and out to pick up orders. This is a good sign. I placed my order with Jonathan, one of the Chefs/co-owners. He had such a great personality. Very friendly and cordial. When I ordered my food he came out and gave me a limeade he was working on to try. It was good. He then came out with a complimentary soup, Sopa Levanta Muertos. OMG it was so good. It had bits of chicken, pork, steak and turkey. It was so flavorful.

I ordered the Mofongo with Carne Frita. It was the best Mofongo I've ever tasted. The pork had a crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside and the flavor or was spot on. I had to force myself to stop eating it because it was so good and I was so full. I tried their Alcapurria with beef filling and beef and cheese Empanada. Both had plenty of filling and yummy. I also had their flan. It had the sugary sauce for every Bute and then some. That was so good.

I also ordered take out for my daughter. Jonathan had left,, but the other Chef and co-owner, Elizabeth,, who is Jonathan's. mother took my order.. she was just as personable as her son. I ordered the beef Alcapurria, beef and cheese Empanada and the pizza Empanada. The pizza Empanada wasn't what we expected. It was sweet, but it was good. I also got the Arroz con Gandules which came with sweet plantains. They were both really good. The sweet plantains were one of the best I've had. The white rice was good and the beans that come with the rice, which also came with sweet plantains, were as flavorful as everything else we had. We loved everything. We will definitely come back on our next visit.

I came here last week and absolutely loved this little gem spot of delicious authentic Puerto Rican food. I would recommend starting off with the soup levanta muerto, try their empanadas, arroz con gandules y pernil, and if you are a mofongo fan like me, you will not regret ordering the shrimp mofongo.
The service was fabulous, the girl working the front was pleasant and welcoming. the food was very fresh and flavorful, you wont regret

This was our first time today here and we really enjoyed this place. The owner was really nice and treated us like family. He gave us the back story to his company. So far all the food was delicious! I especially love the guava and cheese empanadas!! The atmosphere was really good, walked in and it felt like grandma's place. It was very clean and smelled good. We will definitely be back!!

Booked Cafe El Camino catering and did not regret it! The food was AMAZING! Everyone was raving, people who had never had Puerto Rican food before, people who grew up eating it all the time - everyone had the same review and it was 5 stars. Elizabeth was great to work with, communicative, and made sure the food was delivered at the requested time. Awesome experience.
