Was able to get a reservation sort of last minute for my birthday and I’m so glad I was able to! This was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I love how everything is farm to table and the menu changes daily, such a fun twist. I got the bucatini with lobster and it was unreal, with such a generous portion of fresh lobster. Yes, it is a little pricey but it’s not overpriced for the quality of food & amount that you’re getting. My only slight complaint is that it was a little dark at night and my mom couldn’t see that well, but that didn’t take away from the amazing dining experience we had. I will definitely come back the next time I’m in Gloucester!

Snagged a reservation on opening day and was blown away! My mom and I were so impressed by the seafood centered plates, all very well portioned in my honest opinion. Two entrees & an app (and dessert!) was perfect for two. Crab bucatini had a ton of crab, not greasy at all. Halibut had an amazing parsnip purée that balanced the fish. Friendly service and location made it feel really special, away from the busy downtown areas. Do be aware that parking can get tricky; definitely carpool when you can. Since the menu changes frequently, just go knowing that there will be something you will LOVE on the Talise menu.

What a beautiful setting right on the water. The menu changes everyday and the bar is first come first serve. The plates were comprised of fresh locally sourced ingredients from local farmers and suppliers. The sourdough bread is freshly baked on site and delicious. We enjoyed the peach, heirloom tomato and hand made burrata salad and the tuna ceviche. And the boneless ribeye with yukon gold potatoes with foie gras cabbage. The only thing missing was my fancy cocktails although there was an aperitif. I’ll definitely be back to sample other items on the menu!

Always delicious! Love that we are always surprised by the ever changing menu. I could make a meal out of the Sour Dough bread that comes right out of the oven. Talise is creative in using locally sourced foods and its an explosion of flavors every time!

The food is exceptional, farm to table and chef planned and executed, flavor was superb! Our waitress Susan was very attentive and nice. Desserts are delicious and well crafted. Price is according to the quality, but not overpriced. The venue is beautiful, right on the water overseeing the Annisquam little harbor. The experience was just overall divine!

Visited several times and literally every dish has been amazing. I've grown up in Massachusetts and love seafood, and the swordfish here from the summer of 2023 was the best piece of cooked fish I've ever had.

Awesome first visit to Talise! Definitely recommend a reservation or be aware there may be a wait list to sit at the bar. But trust me, the wait is worth it! Although it’s a smaller place, the ambience is on point. It felt very cozy and classy. Everyone we met was friendly and efficient. We loved that the menu was on the shorter side. Everything we ate was delicious and it’s clear a lot of consideration went into each dish, and everything we saw served to other people looked just as good. Everyone cleaned their plate! It was the perfect end to our day trip to the Gloucester area and we can’t wait to return in the future to try a different menu! Thanks Talise :)

Easily best food, ambiance and service on the north shore. We feel so lucky to have found this gem after searching far and wide in our coastal town for top notch food. The scene is relaxed but uplifted and the food is excellent. Stating true to the sea while elevating the cuisine and supporting local purveyors, ::chefs kiss:: do not sleep on this magical place.

The best restaurant in Gloucester, MA - hands down, no questions, not even a close competitor! The staff team is welcoming and consistent. The setting is warm and attractive. The food is excellent! The burger is one of the best anywhere!

We got the chance to eat at this exceptional restaurant last night. The view was incredible. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The menu reflects the location of their locally sourced food. We had a party of 10 and I got to try everyone’s different selection, every plate was delicious and had unique flavors. It was an incredible experience that my family will cherish forever.

My partner and I have eaten here twice - last summer and this summer. It is, by far, the best meal that I've had in the greater Boston area in recent years. Yes, it is pricey. But the quality and execution is exceptional - and I love the highly curated menu. The service is friendly without being familiar and professional without being unpretentious. The atmosphere (go at golden hour) is magical. Eating dinner at Talise is one of the few times (lately) that I have paid the bill without feeling like I have been ripped off. (Also: to the people who yelled at the waitress or came 20 minutes late and were mad that there was a time limit on their table - you should never eat out...)

One of the top restaurants on the east coast and especially in New England, absolutely one of the best. If you haven't been here and you live in Boston, you are missing out. You must try it throughout the summer season as the menu changes, but the staff and execution are world-class. I have been here many times throughout their season and can't explain how extraordinary and superb the team is here! Great thought and execution go into each course, and what an approach. Special thanks to the team this year, 2023. I would highly recommend this to anyone from Europe!

I took my wife here for her birthday and we were both super impressed! We split a scallops entree and two delicious fancy (in the best way) salads. You can tell everything on the menu is going to be amazing. Our waitstaff were all very friendly and attentive and the location can’t be beat! We’ll definitely be back.

I’ve eaten at Talise 4 times this summer, twice for dinner and twice for brunch. All four times the food has been excellent. The star appetizers have been ceviche and tuna tartar. The star entrees have been mackerel and the Talise Burger, which is the best burger I’ve ever had. The huevos rancheros wins the day for brunch. The service is top notch, too.
