Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams

My daughter ordered everyone in the house a pint of ice cream for my birthday. What a sweet treat?!?! I loved the nondairy banana pudding dessert. It was so creamy! I cannot believe coconut cream base felt as silky as dairy. The flavors are definitely turned up to 11. The maple pancakes flavor was a favorite among the kids, but was far too sweet for my liking. Yes, the prices are little high, but you are paying for quality, handcrafted frozen desserts. This ain’t the bucket in your grocer’s freezer for sure. The pints were delivered to my home in a cute cooler bag that kept them frosty for the trip.

I heard Jeni being interviewed on a major foodie podcast a couple years ago and absolutely loved the way she articulated her desire for off-the-wall flavors. She wasn't afraid to try new things. Her creativity, profound scientific approach to flavor components, and endless obsession with creating better flavor combinations all come together in pure harmony when you try her ice creams. She is very meticulous about her ingredients which is why she uses grass fed cream, and doesn't saturate the ice cream with tons of sugar.
I was ecstatic when I found out she had a shop here in STL!
Jeni's is among the best grown up ice cream I've ever had (second best would be Ice Cream Factory *sold in ice cream parlors, not grocery stores.* ICF is what I call the "kid version" because every bite is studded with massive amounts of cookie pieces, candy bits, etc., while Jeni's is more for a refined foodie palette: like their Goat Cheese with Red Cherries, Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Brandied Banana Brûlée, Sweet Cream Biscuits and Peach Jam, etc., etc., etc.)
The ambience is also super cute, but usually packed on the weekends with very limited parking, but it's worth it.

I’m not a chain person but ok Jeni…the lemon bar dairy free ice cream was great.

This is a buzzing spot in the Central West End in St. Louis. We stopped in the other night for an ice cream after dinner.

Absolutely delicious ice cream. They allow you to try them before you decide is most scrumptious. Yummy waffle bowl. Staff is super nice. Located near the bok shop. Support small business.

I’m so glad you have modest sized scoops. Seriously! Many ice creameries serve scoops that are about quart-sized, so I can only afford (calorie wise) one scoop. At your shop I could get three different flavors, and reasonably priced!!

This is hands down the best ice cream I have ever had in my life. Found this place on Google a few minutes before we went, so did not know what to expect. They don't serve your typical flavors, but holy cow was it amazing!! I also typically hate homemade waffle cones. THEY WERE THE BEST. we are not from St Louis and drove about 3-3.5 hrs to visit for the day. Now we just want an excuse to come back here.

This is fantastic ice cream! 2 scoops for $7 and $1 for the waffle bowl. Gooey butter cake, and salted caramel peanut butter and chocolate are Fantastic! My girl really liked the peanut butter and chocolate one but she doesn't even like peanut ice cream! We will be back every time we come into town!

Came to Jeni's late on a Saturday night for the first time and was blown away by the offered flavors (the gooey buttercake flavor was delicious!). Service was fast and my two scoops in a bowl were more than enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. I will definitely be back!

Love their ice cream, taste way better in store than the at home pints in my opinion. Huge space and always a ton of parking.

Pure deliciousness. I apologize for not reviewing sooner. If you want to taste amazing, out of the ordinary ice cream- this is the place. One of the best things about Jeni’s is the freshly made cones. A favorite all times of the year- brave the line and get some. It’s worth the wait and the price.

I love the flavors that I picked (boston cream pie, gooey butter, blueberry). They were light and flavorful. I also love the festive ambience upon going in and the staff are very knowledgeable too! They know the ingredients for each icecream flavor they offer .

I have recently started going to Jeni's more in the past couple of months. I find their ice cream flavors are similar to the uniqueness of a local chain called Clementine's. However, they are lowered priced. Don't let the unique flavors intimidate you though, they do have free samples. They also have a rewards program which I should join one day.

The ice cream was delicious as expected, but a bit spendy as expected. I like how they will change up flavors seasonally. It is very clean and the employees are friendly. I currently live exactly how long it takes me to eat a double scoop walking.

This is splendid. Options given, I would have rated this place with hundreds of stars! Right adjacent to the university area, the place is busy on the weekend night. The line was outside, however, it moves fast. The place looks hip and casual, perfect for a date. I ordered three kinds of chocolate scoops, in a waffle bowl. The darkest chocolate, chocolate with cake ( dark chocolate with some chunks of chocolate cakes in it), both of them were terrific. Highly recommended, if you are in this area.

The lavendar ice cream and the coffee ice cream is outstanding. The customer service is usually great except for one time when we ordered a pint to go and they made us wait for everyone in the line to be served before they would get it out of the freezer for us....

Omg it was amazing. I got 3 scoops: peanut butter and strawberry jelly, sweet potato pie with toasted marshmallow and burkleberry in a waffle bowl. Staff were very friendly and offered samples. The space as open and tables plentiful. I enjoyed the complimentary stickers.

Second time going and Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams selection and staff didn’t disappoint. You can try any of their selections and staff is very patient, knowledgeable, and have great recommendations to try. Definitely going to go back and bring others to this gem! Establishment all around is awesome and a must go to and try! Don’t forget to add waffle cone or cup as it adds to the profile of your choice of flavored ice cream.

We arrived at Jeni's just moments before they closed (we are from out of town) and the staff was SO kind and welcoming! Their ice cream choices are unique and fun and all the flavors we tried were delicious! I especially appreciated Gluten-free labels on many of the ice cream flavors. We highly recommend Jeni's ice cream after a day of exploring in St. Louis! You will not be disappointed!

I am ice cream lover and Jeni’s is one of my favorite places in the Central West End. The flavors never disappoint. There is usually a line outside the door, but don’t let that hold you back. It is worth the wait.
