High-quality, made-to-order food that did not disappoint! I came on a Friday night for dinner and everything was great.

The food was super fresh, tasty, and big portions for the price. We got a fish sandwich, burger, and a few fried seafood platters (and ice cream). They get their seafood from Captain Marden's Seafood in Wellesely, so it was high-quality seafood. Everything came in individual to-go boxes, so it was super easy to eat outside and share everything. Plus, we got a puppy cone - which was on Murphy's! They are pet-friendly.

Service was relatively quick and we got our food for 5 in about 10 minutes after placing our order. The ice cream line was long, but it was always moving and everyone behind the counter was super friendly. We'll definitely be coming back before they close for the season.

Murphy's eats * treat's was a great Friday night find! I witnessed the nicest thing ever there." the manager, or owner complimenting, his crew. " You guy's are killing it" I loved that. It's a nice place and the kids working are friendly and accommodating, I'm glad he appreciates them. I loved my meal too. Thank you for a great date night :)

Love the ice cream and the customer service at Murphy's! Two weeks ago, we step up to the counter and as my son is thinking about what he wants, the young man taking our order sees my son's dinosaur shirt and asks if he has tried their "Crunchasaurus". My son lights up and immediately was intrigued. He then had a quick chat with my son about dinosaurs, which made his day.

These days, you don't see that type of care and attention very often. When you experience it, it leaves a mark. My son has been back three times since for more Crunchasaurus! I have taken full advantage of the situation and had a banana split during our last visit.

I highly recommend Murphy's and thank you to that young man for taking the time to connect with his customers!

Ordered something easy. Gotta say the hot dogs look, taste great. Far better then a DQ dog. By any means. Keep up the great work. I'll be back for desert...

First, the facts. Murphy's is an old-school drive-in restaurant. 20+ parking spaces/2 for handicapped customers/5 picnic tables (with umbrellas!)/3 booths inside/small candy store/on-line ordering/kid's meals/separate ordering & takeout windows.
Now, the eats.
They offer 8 burgers/14 sandwiches/5 seafood dinners and 3 salads.
And the important stuff:
Murphy's serves 26 conventional ice cream flavors and 2 sherbert//2 frozen yogurt/2 sorbet/3 Soft-Serve/2 no sugar added flavors. You can ask for toppings on their waffle or sugar ice cream cones. A quart of ice cream (hand-packed when you order it) is a little over $13. That seemed expensive until I thought about it. If you buy two pints at most stores you'll pay $14 or $15.
My take? If you haven't been to Murphy's, GO! I have had burgers and fish and chips. Both excellent and generous. The variety of foods and ice cream they serve is amazing to me, and the staff could not have been nicer. The orders are entered through a hand-held device, so that went very quickly. I forgot to ask for my order to go, and the young woman who called me to pick it up smiled and said "No problem" when I asked her to pack it up. When she came back, i asked if I could have a menu to take home, she said "Sure!", smiled again, and went to get it for me.
My notes: My raspberry lime rickey had a real lime wedge floating around in the ice cubes. Their take-out containers are made from compostable material! Pressed paper, I think. They provided the condiments I would need, as well as a dinner set (utensils, napkin, salt, etc.)
Finally: I can't find any negative things to say, and only one disappointment. Their grill closes at 7. They have already been forgiven for that, since they have closing procedures to follow for the health and safety of their customers.
Is there anything the owners have forgotten? I doubt it.
I will continue to support this family business to make sure I can go back and get more wonderful food and especially my ice cream, far into the future.

Beautiful Summer Night and we FINALLY tried Murphy's after living here for 7 years. Started with Murphy Burger with Double Patty and an amazing side of Onion Rings (Best I've ever had) while my wife had the Grilled Chicken Sandwich on Wheat and we had 2 Large Raspberry Lime Rickeys. Everything was perfect. Next time I'll request Medium Rare on Burgers, but still they were amazing. Then Desert: My wife had a Large Vanilla Soft Serve Cone so big that she had to eat it fast before it melted on her hands. I had the amazing Large Lemon Sorbet. One thing about the portions here: THEY DON'T SCRIMP ON THE PORTIONS. This place is truly unbelievable. And while we've trekked across town to get our Soft Serve Vanilla Cones at Dairy Queen, we will DEFINITELY come back for Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream here. Finally, I got a Quart of Lemon Sorbet to take home. And the Quart was truly packed and beautifully wrapped up. Outstanding Food. Outstanding Service.
Outstanding Take Out. Outstanding experience. The picnic tables needed to be cleaned more often. Next time we'll be sure to get the Wet Ones out of the car to clean our picnic table when we eat here again. Can't wait to try the Fried Fisherman's Platter next time. I'm glad I skipped lunch. Would not have had room in my belly to eat all this food if I hadn't skipped lunch. Order smaller portions if you're planning to eat food and Ice Cream. Or skip Lunch like I did. Oh FYI, The Food and grill close at 7pm. I saw a sign in the window saying a second location is coming soon. I wonder that will be. Also the inside has a few booths and is superbly Air Condioned. I'm so turned off when places like this don't turn on their Air Conditioning Units to High Cool to save money. Some places like this don't even have Air Conditioning. It was amazing to cool off inside when I went inside to get my Ice Cream Takeout. That decision that keeps the inside cool for their customers and employees shows this place has superior owners that care and have class. There is nothing bad about this place except when the line is long. And this place is popular. But be patient. The food and Ice Cream are worth the wait. This place is gem.

The BEST spot for seafood & ice cream around Ashland! Shaun and the team offer friendly and fast service alongside fantastic food. Highly recommend, especially the whole belly clams and Phantom Berry ice cream. We’ve been going to Murphy’s with our dog since they opened. Recently, we moved out of the are. Murphy’s will be missed!

My new favorite icecream spot in Ashland! There’s so many great options to choose from. I was very indecisive as to what I should order, but luckily Sarah was able to help me determine what I’d like best

Customer service was amazing and I highly recommend Murphys. Extra shoutout to Sarah for being so polite and going above and beyond during my experience :)

I frequent Murphy’s at least twice a week for my favorite sugar free black raspberry with Jimmie’s (I’ve slipped a banana split or hot fudge sundae in there, as well). I just saw they will have fish tacos this weekend, and I will definitely be trying them. The entire staff is very courteous, and always has a smile and a friendly greeting. If I have any complaint, it’s that they close too early on the weekend, especially when the weather has been so hot the last few weeks. I guess that means I’ll have to get there before 8 for those tacos!

Great ice cream and good food. My favorite is the smores ice cream. I get mine with marshmallow topping and choco jimmies. Don't call them sprinkles you live in mass kid.

This place reminds me of the dairy bar I used to go to as a kid in Connecticut. Clean, bright, friendly service and great food! Lots and lots of ice cream choices with all kinds of toppings! They also serve burger, hot dogs and fried seafood. The ice cream is great and the food is good as well.

Yes the service is crazy when it’s crowded but so what? It is what it is. It’s not Capital Grill. Go there on a nice warm summer evening, get a hamburger or hot dog and then some ice cream and relax and enjoy the evening.
There are worse ways to spend an evening!

Love love LOVE it here. This location has been a favorite since I was a kid, back before it became Murphy's. The new owner has truly brought the life back into this spot. He is a really nice guy and is always working hard along side his employees.

We usually go for the fried scallops (definitely try them if they are something you like), a side of chicken fingers (battered and fried to order... they are perfection), and we finish it all off with ice cream. This place is a dream. I hope the mini golf opens soon... that would be the final piece to the puzzle.

If you haven't popped into this place yet, you should. If its packed with people, the wait is worth it. There is a lot of outdoor seating.
