O'Neills Pub & Restaurant

Nice pub with huge portion sizes. Lots of seating. Went during lunch, so can't comment on the night crowd, but it looks like they have live music, darts, etc. Food tastes great.

To me it was the best place we ate and drank at while in town. We were seated quickly our server was friendly and attentive. Drinks and food came out quick and let me tell you the drinks are strong and flavorful! Definitely worth it! There were 6 of us that got all different entrees and all enjoyed them. I had the Irish curry meal over fries to try something different and it was great! I tried a bite of my friends bangers and mash it just melted in your mouth and was full of flavor. So glad Rockafellas was packed and had to come to O’Neills.

First time here. Monday in October. We were greeted promptly. Drinks came our very quick. The 4 of us honestly had our food out in ten mins tops. Never have I ever had food out that quick. So definitely a plus for quick service!

Pretty damn good!! Got to sit right by the window and our waiter, William, was awesome! Definitely stop in if you love fish & chips or beef stew! Great flavor! Nice seasonal drinks too!

The menu is creative and yummy - the Irish "nachos" are to die for! I am so glad we stopped in, the staff was friendly, and the music was fun, the food was amazing! And the drinks just topped it all off!

We had a great lunch. Ogie our waiter was very attentive. The food was good and reasonably priced.

When visiting Salem, I make sure to visit this Irish pub for lunch. I highly recommend the Shepherds Pie Rangoons and the Guiness Beef Stew! The Shepherds Pie is hearty and delicious.

The service is friendly and quick, and there is always a rotating list of beers on tap (including local favorites).

The best Guinness pour can be found here . We also had Irish curry which I had never had before that was delicious as well. Nothing soggy about this dish. Met some fun people at the bar to chat with and the bartenders were a lot of fun.

Went here on St Patrick's day and it was very lively to say the least. Despite all the craziness the food came out quickly and was delicious. Really a nice and fun experience here. The waitress was also very nice and kind.

Lively pub with Irish/American cuisine. Good selection of featured drinks. Fun Irish band the night I was there. Reasonable prices. Good service.

Wow what a great place! We will definitely be back here next time we're in Salem. They had half price apps for happy hour. Everything was reasonably priced and great portions. Plus the food was awesome. I can't imagine getting a better deal...

Let me tell you their New England clam chowder is what your clam chowder wanted to grow up to be. Oh the guiness beef soup makes you look forward to cooler temperatures. Great atmosphere and everyone was super friendly. Had the Shepard pie for my entree. Sooo good! Enough cheese to make even me happy.

I had a great experience sitting at the bar. Minding my buisness eating my steaktips I got one stuck and started choking. The long haired bartender sprang into action. He jumped the bar and bear hugged me from behind while I still sat in my barstool. The steaktip flew out landing in my beer. Not only did he pour me a fresh beer, he cut up my steak into more reasonable bite size pieces. Not all Heros wear capes. I'll be back for sure. Fast and friendly service! Our waitress made me 2 different mocktails to try when I mentioned being pregnant/unable to have a cocktail. Both were very good too.

The irish nachos are a MUST TRY, they are so good. We ended up getting our entrees to go, but I have no doubt they will also be good. Would definitely come back here again in the future. I would give 10 stars if I could.

Stop in for dinner -it was our first time in Salem.
It surly didn’t let us down-food is very good and the drinks go down smooth. Irish music was playing while we were there. Highly recommend.

Hands down the best shepard's pie I've ever had! The Guinness stew is amazing as well! The ambience is perfect and the staff are all super nice. The only thing better than a pub in Salem... is an Irish pub in Salem!

I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup, it was delicious. The waitress was patient and courteous.
I had a Guinness and it was outstanding.

So much fun! Unfortunately the staff didn't want to be at work and had poor attitudes, otherwise it was awesome! Great atmosphere and they had kareoke on the day we went. I couldn't believe how many great singers there was!!

During the current Covid situation, they are doing a very good job of social distancing and keeping customers safe. We didn't have much in the way of food but the Downeast ciders were top notch. The staff were super friendly. Update: I went back later in the week while my traveling companion was doing her own thing and had one of their flatbreads for late lunch. It was really good and quite large. It was a solid meal for one and would make a nice appetizer for two or three. The chicken was tender and the cheese was ample. The Downeast cider remains a highlight.
