This place is great, they manage to have a wide variety of affordable groceries and no lines in downtown Salem… what a wonder that is these days!

I've been going to Steve's for 18 years and, as one who has never had a car, it's so convenient! The store has recently had a make over, new lighting and new flooring that has really brightened it up. They've gotten some trendier items there too. I love their cooked chickens in a bag which are soooooo convenient they encourage me to make some actual recipes! A real neighborhood place, I recently ran into three friends and neighbors there!

I have been shopping at Steve's for many years. The service is great, guality meats at a reasonable price, the best subs at a size that works for me, yummy Italian bread right from the oven, excellent deli and my favorite..lamb patties. There is ample parking and they even help me to the car with my groceries.

Great neighborhood market with great prices. Produce turns over quickly so it's always really fresh. Butcher meats are good and priced better than other local groceries. Ask for custom cuts and they oblige. Full deli with a lot of prepared foods. Phenomenal bakery offering pies and fresh bread (at the counter). Fantastic seasonal offerings like complete holiday meals. The neon sign is a Salem treasure! We live within walking distance and shop there almost daily. Minimal alcohol offerings and a bit cramped. But it adds to the ambiance. This is as "neighborhood" as it it gets! I hope they never go away.

I am so happy that I live within walking distance to this amazing grocery! The prices are competitive with the big outfits and their meat and deli counter are amazing! I love being able to get a my choice of a pound of half pound of the delicious marinated steak tips, reasonably priced vegetables, and the regular necessities while getting fantastic service from friendly employees! It’s definitely a grocery store and not a super market but as far as I’m concerned, if I can’t find it at Steve’s, I must not need it that bad! I have never been disappointed shopping here and always leave feeling like I got a great deal! And they bag better than market basket, no heavy items on top of eggs or loaves of bread! Such a great community resource.

This is my thank you for the delicious (best ever) Easter dinner that Steve’s Market prepared and that I enjoyed twice this year - the first time with my older son and his wife as a late lunch in Ipswich and the second time in Salem with a dear friend. My son, who never had a honey baked ham that good, wants me to add his thanks to mine. You even had an excellent blueberry pie (a Fisher and Cook family favorite) along with excellent vegetables and dinner rolls. The flavours were excellent all around and the price was right.

Very pleasant experience. Gentleman behind the deli counter doesn't get upset even if I only want a quarter of a pound of Genoa salami. Cold cuts are always fresh; chicken and hamburger is delicious; it's a really convenient market and the liquor store next door, Quality Liquors doesn't hurt to make one stop shopping very convenient. Definitely five stars!

Quick and easy in easy out. Great prices for Quality meats. If I’m grilling, I have Steve’s in mind. The deli counter is great too. Also, not too many places stock Maple Leaf brand hot dogs.

This family owned market is by far, one of my favorite places to shop. They are friendly kind and very understanding. I lived in Salem, Ma for over 20 years now. So I feel like they are a part of my family.

Steve's quality market is a staple of Salem. Nice friendly owners they roll out great full meals during the holidays like Thanksgiving and Easter. I really enjoy their meats and sausages.

A small family owned grocery store. Reasonable prices especially when things are on sale. Fresh bread baked on the hour! Great deli and meat selection. Steves has become my primary grocery store and I couldn't be happier. The owners, Peter and Anne work incredible hard to maintain a great little store. I would highly recommend giving them a try.

I always stop here to get cold cuts, they have good prices and fresh out of the oven bread.

Very competitive prices on many products, wonderful rolls, pastries & deli items made there. The staff is helpful and accommodating. Make sure to get @ $1 the sturdy green "Steve's" cloth bag for toting your groceries!

Small market that is a diamond in the rough. Fresh meats, small but affordable deli, made to order Holiday dinners. They also offer bill pay, and Western Union. They have been running the business since before I moved to Salem in 1992. If you've never been, check them out!
