Salem Willows Park

My family goes here every year for our family cookout. This is my first time visiting the park. The park is very beautiful. There is so much to do. If I were you I would leave early because it's hard to find parking once it's packed. We left at a reasonable time, so we were able to park near the basketball court. You don't have to pay for parking even though signs are up, but that's only on the weekends that's when we went and one of the officers mentioned it. They do have a bathroom for boys and girls, but the bathrooms are very unsanitary and smell very bad. It is a dog friendly park, so you are allowed to bring your family Pet. They do have areas where you can bring your grill and cook out. Even if you don't want to bring a grill to cook out, they have food there it's a strip that has an arcade for the kids' great food like fried Oreos. They also have a little small restaurant there. All together, it's just a wonderful place to bring your family and hang out for the day better than the beach if you ask me.

Beautiful park, amazing location, and local eateries make for a very idyllic outing. Recently updated tennis and basketball courts. Love this park.

This place is amazing. Has a long proud history going way back and seems like it was in the 19th century. The Willows are very well taken care of. The grass is very green. Grounds are meticulously maintained. Has a couple areas where you can go in the ocean (rip the pier). You can't swim as there are too many slippery rocks. Food choices were diverse and delicious. Took my dog. This was him on the way home. He was exhausted. Very pet freindly! Great great place!!!

A great peaceful walk in the morning. In the afternoon/evening it was a fun and busy atmosphere. It was a nice place to watch the sunrise and in the evening it was a great place to get ice cream and watch people. Get there early if you are parking.

My friend and I were in Salem for a few days and wanted to get out of the town to enjoy a park. We took the Salem Skipper here and walked along the coastal trail before going through the beach and enjoying the tidal pools. It’s a beautiful and peaceful park!

I saw kayaks there that looked like they were for rent, but the water was off limits due to Hurricane Lee coming in. So, we didn’t get to explore that.

After walking for a while, we enjoyed site-seeing at the arcade- what an AMAZING spot. It is definitely dated, but still hopping with a variety of great looking foods and drinks and a Game Center that was enjoyed by some families. Highly recommended for a Day or afternoon of fun- enjoy the water and all else that it has to offer.

Love the Salem Willows. Parking is cheap and normally able to find a spot quick. Lots of food choices and we love walking around looking at the scenery and taking in the views. Have real bathrooms which is a super plus.

I love this park. I come Everytime I'm back home. For 18 years of my life the third Saturday in July my family would gather on Jackson Hill, which our tree fell recently and enjoy the arcades, food and family during the annual Black Picnic. You can still find my people on the hill every year though I've moved the family continues to gather and reunite every year and the Chop Suey sandwiches are EPIC. Basketball, tennis, play by the beach so much to do here.

Awesome view! Great food from popcorn,burgers,amazing tacos,pizza and great lobster rolls. Arcade is such a cool nostalgic feeling. And such a great place to walk and swim..so go here!

There is no where else quite like the Salem Willows. So much to do and see here!

Parking is different but not impossible… just plan to walk a little ways or wait a little while for a spot to open up.

I want people to go here so it doesn't shut down and go away like so many other things. Very cute for young kids. They have the oldest and fastest carousel, the speed had me laughing hysterically. A few small rides and a large arcade. The park is beautiful with broad ocean views, many weeping willows, and several pavilions to sit down in. Great stop for a few hours of fun.

I'd used go here when I'd was younger with my parents & went back to visit July of 2009 with my parents & younger brother Mark & wow alot has changed since I'd was little girl living & growing up with my older brother Michael in Lynn & Salem, Ma from February 14th, 1970 to October of 1982. I'd missed all my family members & wish my mom could of survived her aspirated phenomena 2 years & almost 6 months ago.

So much fun! The kids and ourselves as adults enjoyed the arcade and the fun boardwalk feel. A beautiful view of the water and open grass/picnic area. Kayak rentals available as well. Definitely looking forward to going back!

Really nice recreational area with food vendors, an arcade, small amphitheater and plenty of picinic tables and a few grills. The beach is small, but nice. The area is set amidst a lovely neighborhood

It was a very nice park cause it was cold. Or if it's like this all the time why not return. But there was 1 lady scream singing not chure if she was mad cause we were in here spot. Too bad lady.. East Los Angeles to Boston part 2

Beautiful area, great for small get togethers or just a walk to enjoy the water. Arcades are open during the summer, and there are plenty of different food options and kiddie rides for the little ones!

I am drawn here by my ancestors ! I feel the spirit just being on the grounds! This is my favorite place on earth 🌏! I am forever in love with Salem ❤! The willows is peaceful and fun! The arcades and food amazes me I will always come back to where I'm from!! I am a big fan of the Black picnic thank you Salem willows you have been amazing part of my life ❤

Such a beautiful place to visit when you are in Salem. The views and the parkland are beautiful. The water surrounds it so much that it feels like you are on a tiny headland and the homes that surround the water are stunning.
The sweet making shop sell the best sweets. There's a fast food diner where you can buy takeaway pizza slices or chips err sorry fries etc.
We will probably come here everytime everytime we visit from England to see our daughter.
