Very good food and service! The reviews were scaring me a little bit but I am so glad we went! $79 for 3 courses is not expensive by vineyard standards

I remember going here when I lived on island many years ago. A lovely reboot. We were there early, food was very good. Excellent chowder, the mussels were fantastic. My wife’s linguine with clams was delicious and my swordfish was great as well. Couple of pies for dessert. Loved my key lime! And the oysters we got were perfectly shucked. I think it’s pretty good value for money on island. I wish they would disclose there is an almost $16 dollar charge for the wine setup when they offer it. I get it, but it seems shady to offer something and not say it’s going to cost you. Also disclose the mandatory kitchen appreciation fee on the menu and website. I don’t mind paying it but I do mind not knowing beforehand. And they obviously have spent some money on the patio.. those umbrellas are something!

The homeport was delicious and the atmosphere was great! Peter, our waiter was amazing and so cute! We had a party of 8 and no one had any complaints about food or service! From appetizer to dessert everything was amazing!

Not like the Nixon days but the food is still delicious.
Pricey , miss the twin lobster dinner.
Corn bread needs maple syrup, add this to the menu.
I still love the HP.

Had an incredible meal here with my family to celebrate my moms 60th. First time back in 4 years and enjoyed the prefixed menu. The lobsters were delicious as were the swordfish and salmon. Topped it off with delicious pies with ice cream for desert. Highly recommend the reboot.

Ava provided absolutely extraordinary service! We had the oysters, shrimp cocktail and scallops, all were fabulous. The scallops were accompanied by a fresh vegetable medley from a local farm. The parking attendant was very friendly as well. Highly recommend.

Our meals were great and the service was excellent. The only reason I gave a 4 for atmosphere was because they didn't have a 4.5 option. Room got busy and table talk was loud. I am hearing impaired and at times had trouble getting all the discussion at our table. May not be a problem for others. All and all, a very nice evening.

Prix fixe menu (I think $78/person), plus raw bar & a couple optional extras. No alcohol sales in Chilmark so BYO.

The food was great on my recent visit: fried oysters presented on the half shell, burrata, linguini (fresh) with clams (also fresh), cod and clam chowder, fennel crusted tuna. It's a fancified version of the old school seafood restaurant that it once was.

Wonderful restaurant in Menemsha with a great, wraparound deck for outdoor seating and sunset viewing. Friendly, young staff, though they seem understaffed
so wait for food, water, etc is long. Menu is about 95% seafood with only one non-seafood entree option so try another restaurant if seafood is not your thing. Finally, don’t forget Menemsha is a dry town so BYOB.

First of all our server Aribella was fantastic! Funny, effective and attentive.
Our meals were delicious. Steak frites, lobster and fluke were amazing. Even the corn was “had the nubs and the juice”! The pie was excellent too. And to top it all of a gorgeous sunset!

The homeport has been up and down over the years as it's changed ownership. I've been eating there once a year for about two decades and last night I was served the best meal I've had there. The setting is spectacular, the service was attentive, entertaining and well informed and the food was outstanding.

So happy to be able to tell people that the Homeport is terrific again!

I had a lobster roll and chowder, both were fantastic. The lobster was fresh and chilled, plus the brioche bun was stuffed! One of the best I've had on the Vineyard.

The chowder is amazing as well, clams in every bite plus a healthy serving.

Service was fantastic! Even got to talk with one of the Chefs, Jack, who is the owner's son! They truly care about the restaurant and it's history.

Highly recommend (plus I was told that a certain ex-president frequents).

Classical place to go on the island for a lobster dinner. They advertise a beautiful sunset to the West but to be honest, the building's obscure The View and there are better places to see the sunset in the West. It's a fun place to take visitors for the first time to get a feel for what a Vineyard fishing village is all about. I prefer the restaurant inside rather than take out sitting on the picnic tables. But it's still worth a visit at least once.

Had a lovely dinner at the Homeport. The fresh oysters and lobster were perfection, as was the lobster roll. Enjoyed the vibe and the view (the view is unmatched in my personal opinion). Highly recommend.

My favorite restaurant on the island! Whether dining in or ordering from the back door to eat at home or on the beach, the Home Port is always fantastic! Highly recommend the Lobster Roll or the full lobster dinner but you really can't go wrong. Love the lively setting and friendly, prompt service. See you next summer!

Best dinner we have ever at the Homeport. We visit annually for only a week in mid September. We had the special, a seafood entre with striped bass, salmon, scallops, and shrimp on a bed of mashed/or baby reds and asparagus, in a herbed butter sauce with a little white wine. Fresh as it comes, all balanced. We stopped to compliment the chef and another customer did the same. Service was friendly and efficient. Nice treat!

Cute waterfront restaurant that's an island staple. Appetizers were so so, main and dessert were delicious.

I just went to this restaurant and had the grilled swordfish. It was excellent - lightly seasoned and cooked perfectly (not dried out). At my table two others ordered the scallops and said they were wonderful. Service was also great.

The service was refreshing nice. the dishes... simply prepared and the natural flavors were given full reign to shine... and shine, they did. Scallops, salmon and striper were the stars of the show. great find for us.
