Danielle provided hair services for my August 2019 wedding - 11 of us including 3 moms. She is a miracle worker who takes blurry inspiration photos and turns them into a gorgeous reality. She listens to exactly what you want and makes it happen. She’s also super flexible and switched getting ready spaces for us the morning of our wedding.

Her assistants are also fantastic - they’re fun, outgoing, and make an effort to connect with everyone. I would absolutely recommend them.

Danielle did my hair and all my bridesmaids & flower girls hair for my wedding. She's amazing. Super capable, calm and creative. Very easy to work with, flexible, open to feedback as she works. She's attentive to every last detail. Thank you so much Danielle for making my wedding day (and my girls) really shine on our big day.

Danielle came to our hotel to do hair and makeup for my daughter and I, for my sons wedding. She is a lovely lady and very professional. She took a lot of time to do our hair and makeup. Danielle made us feel relaxed and pampered while working on our hair. She brought all of her own supplies, including a chair! I really felt glamorous and beautiful for my sons wedding. I think my daughter felt the same way. We received compliments all evening! I couldn’t recommend Daniel more highly. I wish I lived in Massachusetts so I could have her do my hair all of the time!,

Danielle came to Northampton to do makeup for my bridal party. She did an absolutely beautiful job! She is Lovely and professional. Danielle is truly talented and her passion for her work shows in her makeup artistry. I would highly recommend Danielle for anyone looking for a hair and makeup artist to make everyone look luminous and elegant.

Danielle is not only talented but also a great person! She’s incredibly knowledgeable about hair and makeup. I every time I’ve gotten services with her she’s made me feel absolutely gorgeous!! Better book soon because she’s a diamond in the rough

Danielle has been cutting my hair for several years and she's absolutely awesome for guy cuts. I live in Texas now and wait till I'm home in Massachusetts just for her to cut my hair.

Danielle is absolutely amazing! She has been doing my hair for a few years now. I have offically found "my hair girl"!! I am extremely picky when it comes to my hair and every time she does exactly what I want. I usually get my hair highlighted 3 times a year and a cut once a year. My highlights always come out flawlessly. My roots always match the rest of my hair, she makes sure the foils are as close to my head as possible so there's no gapping, and it always looks so natural. Hair aside, she is so kind and genuinely loves what she does! Highly recommend!!!

Danielle is amazing! I've been trying to achieve the perfect golden baby lights/ombré for years and she did it! She's super accommodating, very zen/peaceful, and very reasonably priced. I live in North Carolina, but I will definitely be back to MA to see her again!! Thanks D!

Absolutely amazing, and I highly recommend going to her. I've been having a very difficult time attaining the hair colors I wanted. I showed her what I wanted and she got it perfectly right the first time. She really paid attention to detail, and really knows what she is doing. I think I've found my go-to hair stylist!

*This is Blake, Matt’s wife writing this review about my experience with Danielle.

Danielle agreed to do my makeup and a couple of bridesmaids’ hair and makeup for our wedding in May 2020. She was very nice over communicating the details with her before signing the contract. Instead of paying her 50% of the costs for the deposit like she requested, I paid the full 100% of the costs in advance to not worry about costs on the wedding day.

Due to COVID, my wedding was cancelled over a month before our wedding date. We called Danielle to let her know and she did not return any of our calls, emails, or texts. The wedding day came and went (we decided to still get married with immediate family that day) with no word from Danielle. I had to have a family friend do my hair and makeup for me. I find it totally inappropriate and unprofessional she did not reach out about it. After I a gave her 100% of the costs and she provided NO service on wedding day and didn’t even reach out to me.

After the wedding I tried for months to get a hold of Danielle through calls, texts, emails, and messages through Facebook and Instagram. Still no return of any communication and it is now January 2021. She still to this day has all of our money for makeup and hair which she did not provide services for.

I understand the 50% deposit may not have been able to be returned to me because of COVID being such an unexpected rollercoaster and everyone is struggling. But Danielle was given trust with 100% of the costs and she didn’t even show up for the services she promised when I signed the contract. As a customer I feel taken advantage of because our money was stolen with no communication. I’m extremely frustrated and would never trust her again with any services. I learned my lesson to not trust anyone with 100% of the costs before the time comes.

We had given Danielle plenty of grace with time and chances with nice emails and phone calls at first. But this is no way to conduct a business and since I can’t get a hold of her, my last resort was to write an honest review to prevent this from happening to anyone else. And Danielle, if you’re reading this, I hope you have learned your lesson and I hope it doesn’t sit right with you taking advantage of customers, especially after they trusted you with their money.

**this is a review of Danielle's communication and professionalism, and not of her actual services- as i never ended up having her do my hair or makeup.
I first contacted Danielle on Dec 5th regarding Hair & Makeup services for my June 8th wedding. Was looking to book 14 services for 10 people (which equaled over $1300 in services). Between Dec 5th and January 31st, we emailed regarding these services- many times I needed to email her a second time to follow up to an email she did not respond to, or to ask her to send the contract that she kept saying she would send, but did not. Despite this, and seeing one other bad review where the person reported she was a bad communicator, I decided to move forward with booking Danielle- I wasn't thrilled with many other options in the area.

On Jan 31st I scanned in my contract, which had my CC info on it, and asked her if she needed me to send a hard copy as well. She said I did not, confirmed receipt of my contract and we were all good.

Fast forward to March 7th, when I received an email from Danielle asking that "should she still have my date available, if I would like to book with her"..... ummmmm WHAT?! So, I replied (5 minutes after she sent the email) and stated that I had already booked and for her to confirm this was true. I figured "maybe its an oversight" and then also forwarded the email chain where I had sent my contract and she had confirmed receipt.

Friday morning, I had still heard nothing, so I found her phone number and called and then texted her. I knew it was a cell phone because the voicemail gave me the same message that my voicemail gives. Friday afternoon, I still had not heard, so i sent yet another email- expressing my dissatisfaction and requesting a response by end of business day, at least just letting me know that she had received my emails and was looking into it.

Here we are, 4 days later, and I have yet to hear a single word from Danielle. However, even if Danielle was to contact me now, I would NOT move forward with her- I do not trust that she would show on my wedding day. I don't think there are really enough words to express the level of disrespect, unprofessionalism and lack of care for others that Danielle has shown during this process and most specifically, throughout the last 4 days. EVEN if there was a crisis happening in your life- as a business owner, you find 2 minutes within a 4 day span to respond to an email, phone call or text.

If someone cannot keep up with their correspondence with clients, nor keep things organized, I don't believe working in the wedding business is for them. This day is so HUGELY important to so many, and to have to deal with this throughout the process is so disappointing. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your hair/makeup wedding day services.

On a side note: In Danielle's contract, she requires a 20% tip from each person paid up front. Now, this amount is pretty standard and usually what I would tip a MUA in a normal situation where I was happy with the service (including showing up on time, doing a good job, being professional etc.).... so when I saw it included in my total price, I didn't bat an eye- even though I received many contracts from other hair/makeup artists where this tip was NOT included. I don't feel this is appropriate, and especially not from someone who does not communicate well.

**update: 2 hours after posting this review, I received two emails and one text from Danielle stating she was sick and had not even glanced at her phone in 4 days. Somehow.... I found it very hard to believe, especially considering I replied to the email she sent me on Thursday within 5 minutes of it being in my inbox. Also, it seemed odd that she was all better as soon as I posted the reviews. She offered to move forward with the services, but I chose to find another artist. She may be fantastic at hair & makeup, so I don't want to discount that, but there are MANY things that go into being a business owner, and if you are going to run one- you need to take responsibility for those things as well.
