Lovely owners. The wine is organic/ no chemicals and yummy. I really like that this store has tastings, events and classes that are informative. This spot is definitely more than just a retail space.

Also? You can get Creature bread… which ( I M H O) is the best bread ever!

Giving 5 stars is rare, at least for me. But Dare Bottleshop & Provisions IS rare. This "Mom & Pop" neighborhood wine shop hits all the marks. The owners (Ben & Mary) are personal, professional and passionate. Both are somehow eclectic, yet classic...like the assortment of libations they've chosen to carry. In addition, I really appreciate their public events...book readings by notables like natural wine writer Alice Feiring (bonus having Darra Goldstein in attendance!). And what a joy it was viewing a French documentary about "La Coulee de Serrant", which included a tasting and post discussion.

And if your travels happen to bring you to Lenox on a Saturday around 1pm, consider yourself lucky, this is when corks often pop for afternoon tastings!

I recently visited Dare Bottlesshop & Provisions and was blown away by the amazing selection of independent winemakers and specialty food products they offer. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their products, and were able to recommend the perfect bottle of wine to suit my taste. The ambiance of the store is also amazing - it's clear that a lot of thought has been put into the decor and layout. Owners are so friendly and knowledgeable! I love the selection too—nicely curated. And the only place in the area I’ve been able to find my favorite Boston-area beer, Lamplighter. Wine tastings are great too. Dare is definitely my new go-to in the Berkshires!

Organic and biodynamic wines are their specialty. If you are looking for the future in wine check them out. Be forewarned it is not for the standard wine drinker although they could change your mind. Also good local beer selection.

My two friends and I took a girls’ trip to the Berkshires and stumbled upon DARE. We LOVED it! The wine selection, the prices and the staff were all outstanding! We went every day!

Gem of downtown Lenox. Eclectic selections, regular wine tastings, friendly staff and beautiful space. My wife and I enjoyed perusing the shop.
