Louisville VA Clinic (Newburg)

These guys and gals are superb. Dr. Marshall is one of the most caring and dedicated doctors I have ever come into contact with. I went there today for a medical issue and they treated me with politeness, efficiency, respect and at no time did I feel I was not in the best of hands. These folks deserve a lot of credit, and as a veteran, I am glad to have them on my side. Thanks guys!

I've had consistently positive experiences at this VA clinic. This location is well run and staffed by great people. I feel cared for by my GP and this location makes keeping up with preventative care very easy.

This place is first class, I hear others stories and I don't get it, never had a minutes problem if my appointment is at 8:00am they are calling me back at 7:55. The staff and doctors are great, this place is great, and they alway go out of the way to try to help!! Semper Fidelis.

I've been very impressed by all of the practitioners at this clinic. My primary care physician is caring, efficient, and will always stop to answer questions or reconsider older issues.

My only hangup is that the phone and appointment systems could use a tune-up. A recent example: I was called to schedule labs, but it was not made clear when my follow-up would be. I was only notified by mail that my appointment for follow-up was two days later at a different time.

This is a minor inconvenience, but a text or e-mail system would be preferable, particularly since I'm asking for time out of work to attend appointments.

The last 2 times I had an appointment the service was quick and Doctor popham was very good!

Overall good care, the only failing, and this is with all Dr's they do not always listen to the patients.

I hate it when I allow nasty people to ruin my day. I just hung up from 1 of the African American ladies who schedules appointments for the clinic. She was nasty and rude. Do better people. Be nicer to people. You don't know what other people are going through

If I could give no stars...they make you wait on hold just to cancel an appt then tell you they have to transfer you, then they hang up before the transfer! Worst customer service! So now they expect you to call back to wait again to cancel, If you don't they put it in your record as a no show!

Appointment at 1pm. It is now 1:30pm. Not one person sitting here has been called back to be seen. The VA sure knows how to treat their veterans. I sure hope someday this all goes private. It is truly not about your care at the VA. The employees do just enough to keep their jobs. Government does nothing right or efficiently.

You need to make an appointment? Well have fun waiting on the phone for over 20 minutes every time you call. Worst yet when you finally do talk to someone and request to see the doctor they tell you it’s going to be at least 2-3 weeks out. By that time you have either died or gotten better. There is no rush to answer phones or help anyone. It’s always been awful so they don’t get to use covid as the reason.

Terrible. Have to jump thru hoops to get a appointment. Especially for epidural. Waiting for months and keep getting run around. Left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. Need to change policies so the people who are lazy and do not know their jobs and don't care get fired!
