Smyrna Bait & Tackle Shop

Highly reccomend this little bait shop. Nice selection of new and used rods and reels, artificial and live baits, weights, line and anything else you could think of. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and didn't pressure me at all. They had the Catfish pole floats I have been looking for weeks for at the big box stores, and had a large variety.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, and very healthy minnows/bait for sale. Always stop here on my way to Taylorsville Lake due to the convenient location. Highly recommend a stop!

This is a place that by myself, family and friends is affectionately known as "the bait shop" because we almost literally grew up there. My dad would hang out and talk with other regulars and the owners Aaron and Freida Witt, all manor of "fishing" from the one that got away to the latest trip to a secret farm pond sometimes for hours on end. I would roam the aisles and learn of every piece of tackle that existed, lol.
The new owner has kept it pretty much the same except for modernizing a few things.
That said, this is a great place to go for all your outdoor and fishing needs and prices are comparable to anyplace else, maybe a bit less on some items. Go visit and I believe you won't be disappointed.

Great business and very friendly service. I stop in when I am in Louisville and they have that neighborbly small business feel. My favorite part is the used section. I always leave with an assortment of lures, items and just really enjoy giving them my business.

Absolutely my Sons Favorite Bait Shop in USA . We have been going here since he was a Little 4yr Old in 2005 . Nice Friendly staff . Great Deals on Used Fishing Equipment and just a Neat Little place you can take young kids to get them Hooked on Fishing . Highly Recommend is an Understatement.

This bait shop is just "fishing" to me. My grandfather got his bait here, my father .. and now me. ONLY place I'll go. Nice size crickets..good people..in and out...I'll keep coming back until they close the doors

Had just walked out with bait, started the car and radiator hose blew. No tools Smyrna gave me tools to take off hose but when I went to put new hose on which Advance Auto delivered to the store, I could not get the factory’s clamps on due to the position. The owner was nice enough to shut his shop drive to Autozone and purchased two hose clamps for me, and when I did that have the cash he said bring it next time your in.
What a guy. Good bait good prices.

Fantastic selection and they helped answer a bunch of questions for a new fisherman like myself and my GF.

Great place , the owner is a wealth of knowledge and has no problem giving advice . I also bought a new Lakers stool lol go figure but he has new and used equipment so if u have a low budget this might be the place

This is the ( only ) tackle shop who carried a certain type of Buzzbaits and specially made spinnerbaits I like using. The Employees are awesome to work with while in the store. You can get fresh bait, tackle, fishing license if need be as well. Location of Store is real close to major highway that goes directly towards several lakes within the Store also. Check out their web site if you need to know hours of operation and if they carry a specific piece of tackle your looking for like I did.

Great little bait store with laid back country folks. I buy all my minnows from here. You may pay a little more for them but there better quality and stay alive alot longer. Love this place.

it's has everything that you need for fishing. Live bate, license,new and used tackle, and new and used poles. and the prices are good I recommend this place

This is such a cool little fishing bait shop, they have everything including live bait and it's so much fun to walk around look at all their stuff.
