Baxter Avenue Theatres

I love this locally owned movie theater. The seats are a little worn, but they are large, cozy, and recline. The screen and speakers are good. There is a decent snack selection. Highly recommend.

Fantastic prices, great seating and every movie that I wanted to see. I can't ask for anything else in a theater but they go above the bar and give free refills on large popcorn and drinks.

Baxter has always been my go to movie theater. It is clean, quiet, and has very comfortable seating. I love the mature vibe of the place, (no kids running and screaming down the aisles). You can enjoy this theater whether you are with friends or solo.

They have leather reclining seats that are super comfy. The ticket and snack prices are better than most theaters, and they have a bar. Bonus points for the friendly staff too. This will be our go-to theater from now on.

How have I worked in Louisville for over 30 years and experienced this theater? We arrived for a matinee of Oppenheimer. Ticket prices were reasonable, the seats are amazingly comfy, and there is a full bar if you are inclined to imbibe. This was a wonderful movie going experience!

This has always been our favorite Theater but our visit on 9/16/23 Theater #8 had Mice running everywhere!! We were warned by another patron that was there before us and sure enough, as fast as she was telling us a Mouse ran out from the seats in front of us. As the lights dimmed more rushed out.

They are very welcoming with a smile on their faces. I love the reclining chairs and the variety of movies to watch. I'll be back.

I haven't been to the movies in a long time. I have actually never been to this theater before. I went last Saturday and watched Saw X. I was surprised it wasn't packed. I had fun and enjoyed the movie.

Quaint but very new feeling, friendly staff, just the right size - not too big, popcorn is delicious. I love this theater. They have senior discounts and Tuesdays are a reduced price.

Baxter Avenue Theater was clean and very safe social distance and the crews were so friendly!! And the masks were enforced a very pleasant and safe experience. I will return so soon❤

It was the cleanest movie theater that I have ever been in, and they have the most amazing black leather recliners. You can actually recline them and relax while watching the movie. Baxter Avenue Movie Theatre held this years "The Louisville Children's Film Festival" which my son (Alex, the 1 on the left wearing a gray-blue polo shirt) his drama class and several other students from several different visual and performing arts schools was a contestant of. The award ceremony was also held there a week later. Alex and 2 other of his classmates, with their film "Just A Joke" came in 2nd place.

Theater seats could be replaced, but over all, I love this place. My daughter and I every weekend spot

Thankful Baxter still exists. The Village Theater is gone and the smaller theaters is still our favorite.

Highly recommend going! First time visiting and it was clean, friendly, and there is alcohol! Super comfortable reclining chairs.

Love this theater. It may be dated, but prices are good, luxury lounge chairs, and the bar serves great drinks. I think it is the best theater in Louisville.

Very clean, well lit lobby. Nice touch to be able to have alcoholic beverages if you want. Bathroom was clean. Theater itself was great, seating was comfortable. Not overly loud. Very enjoyable experience. Will be going again.

Love this theatre!! It's family oriented and sits n a great location. Love, the comfortable seating and their snacks are always fresh and good. Take the family if you haven't been yet😘
