One of my favorite cafes in town. Surprisingly every single item on menu is delicious.I’ve tried poached egg and bacon flatbread, spicy mushroom and spinach flatbread, mushroom tartine and smoked salmon tartine.

A delightful, cozy bakery and cafe! I only had time to grab a couple of sweet treats to go (obviously a kouign amann couldn't be missed!), but this would be a lovely place to linger over breakfast with a loved one. Next time I'm in Louisville!

Love this bakery. You can tell they take pride in their dough! Every item was perfection! From savory to sweet, croissants to quiche, and coffee, we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast here.

There’s a few tables and two benches out front and no dining in currently, also lots of people coming in and out so grab your food and seats ASAP or watch others enjoy good food ;-)

Blue Dog pastries live up to the hype. I got the spinach and feta croissant ($6), the ham and cheese croissant ($6) - which was truly the star - , and the date and roasted pecan scone ($4). I wanted one of their more robust breakfast options but the line was moving slowly and I was on a time crunch.

If you’re not going to eat at Blue Dog I’d recommend ordering ahead as the line gets long. The online menu has far fewer options than the actual bakery when you go in person for breakfast / lunch. There’s both outdoor and indoor seating options.

One of my top bakeries in this great country! The assortment of pastries, macrons, and coffee is out of this world. It is located on the charming Frankfurt Ave. with the train carving through Louisville just across the street. It is located close to some other delicious restaurants in a walkable neighborhood.

Beautiful storefront, friendly staff, delicious baked goods and coffee. Cafe seating outside on a beautiful day is the icing on the cake! Thoroughly enjoyed a lazy Saturday afternoon watching the people and antique Volkswagens pass by!

First time in Louisville! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here at Blue Dog. The environment is casual and comfortable, I felt like a local. Poached eggs and breakfast burrito were delicious. My favorite was the smoked salmon pizza; usually smoked salmon is too salty for my taste but the quality was so high, there was minimal salt so you can taste the quality of the salmon. We got a breakfast pizza to go for later :)

I drive across town just to purchase fresh & unique breads from this bakery. Reasonable prices. The pastries are delicious! I’ve eaten brunch here numerous times and have always left satisfied. A little gem of a bakery in Louisville.

The Cobb Salad was amazing!! Wasn’t expecting it to be so huge. Very filling with bacon, avocado, egg, grilled chicken and tomatoes. This was my first time here and I will absolutely be back when I’m in this area. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Delicious, interesting food with friendly service in a cozy atmosphere. Although the pastries were mostly gone by the time we arrived for lunch, we very much enjoyed our more substantial meals. Try the grapefruit salad or mushroom tartine.

Great, interesting bakery and coffee place in Louisville. Pastries are lovely and very tasty. Prices are a little high for eating there too often, but the quality is very high. There was a bit of a line to get in. Seating is mostly outdoors, a few seats were open indoors.

We stopped here for brunch and food was amazing! This is the loved by the locals as we saw several frequent visitors who knew owners and servers! Baked good were really nice, i loved the macaroons, so fresh! I tried the poached egg pizza for the first time and it was surprisingly good! I will visit again!

This is a cute place without bread in the afternoon and hence too far off my own living area. My wife found online a German bakery that will ship to us next week their fresh farmers' bread
And thus solve a 5 year old dilemma since we moved here. Thanks. You are very kind folks.

Visited for the first time today and fell in love, this place is a well-kept secret. Amazing coffee, pastries, staff, and atmosphere. The curbside patio reminded me of Paris, lots of friendly people

So far I believe Blue Dog to be the best bakery in the Lu. I love their morning glory muffin, it's 100x better than the one from PTY chain (PTY is overpriced and over hyped, if you like it you need blue dog in your life).

The orange pistachio schnecken is also my go-to with the muffin, I have yet to try breakfast here but the offerings outside of pastry look superb, and based on the execution of the pastry, probably IS superb.

Go here!

Super delicious pastries! There are so many beautiful pastries and baked goods to select. The place was very crowded, we were there at 9:30 and the line was already long.

I live in NYC and try to visit whenever I’m in town. The space is warm and the staff are always inviting. The baguette is well crafted, having a crisp eggshell crust, interior having a variety of smaller and larger air pockets. The menu offers variety and is well made. Items are fresh and consistent. The addition of the “toast” with jam, a classic French staple is perhaps the simplest entry but the most satisfying for anyone who loves Paris. Overall a great option, that never fails.

Took my mom for a lovely breakfast. They've added a wonderful avocado toast to the menu and they always have wonderful drinks and pastry options. Definitely a must when you come to Louisville or visit Frankfort Avenue.

My favorite bakery in Louisville. We always take out of town visitors for breakfast/brunch.

I’ve never had anything I didn’t like, but I highly recommend the pain au chocolat (my kid’s favorite), the kouign amann (my favorite), and the breakfast sandwiches.

Get there early or some of the more popular baked goods could be sold out. This place is soooo good!
