Helped us when we struck a low high voltage line that collapsed on us in a semi truck. Thanks Fellas.

I appreciate Highview fire dept but PLEASE lay off the horns some!!! I know men like their toys, but I believe some of it is too much... It's so annoying when we have several fire dept in this area. You can't even talk with your neighbors or anything!

To be ignorant is one thing. To be hostile and without compassion is an entirely different and intentional choice. The two that handled my mother's urgent situation were all of the above. From the moment they walked into her house where I was by her side, as she was diaphoretic and unable to speak coherently or move after having sudden onset of 10/10 right lower abdominal pain, the responding jerks raised their voice in frustration and had the audacity to tell her they wouldn't be taking her anywhere if she didn't talk to them and answer with more detail than the words she could barely utter. It was said that "they" would be making all the decisions for her since she wouldn't answer, despite the fact that I answered all questions clearly and instructed them where she needed to go. This being AFTER I had already explained symptoms and my relation when they arrived. Then to make things better, when she couldn't get up off of the floor to walk out of her home I asked if they could bring the stretcher for her and was informed that the two personnel were not able to carry the stretcher up the THREE STEPS of my mothers porch and that the female was unable to lift the stretcher because " it weighs as much as me" ( her words ) I had to holler for my husband to help me carry my mother out of her home as NO alternative was given. There was NEVER any physical assessment done on their behalf before instructing her to "get up and walk" The ambulance door was closed in my face as I approached to enter with my mother and we sat in her driveway for an additional 15-20 minutes as she suffered in pain while the TWO responders continued to do nothing competent. My mother and I are both nurses and know the possibilities of the symptoms she was presenting with. The most concerning being appendicitis and a ruptured appendix which is ALWAYS A MEDICAL EMERGENCY. Hostility and ignorance were what we were treated with. NEVER AGAIN will I deal with or trust in any ambulance or EMS service. The whole situation disgusts me as a nurse. The most important field where compassion is absolutely necessary. These two need to look for another career and Highview Fire and EMS clearly needs to do better with educating their workers and emphasizing the importance of competence and compassion.

Emt with the last name Osborne is in the wrong profession, and should be fired immediately I would not trust that man with any of my friends or family members! He’s very unprofessional!
