The Pine Room

A lovely evening spent at The Pine Room. Cozy atmosphere complete with a piano player. Food was delicious, with a shout-out to Aaron for helping to make our evening special!

First time here and I’m local, placed a take out order of the fried chicken and had a peerless manhattan at bar while I waited…extra cherries. Service was attentive and cordial. Ended up diving head first into the meal in my car while I remained parked…it was that good, haha. Will be back soon…

One of the best meals and service I've had in a while - Fried chicken meal, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower... all were so delicious! Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu!

Stopped by for a late dinner. Food was good but the drinks were on point. We tried several of them and each was delicious. Our host, Jared, was the sweetest and gave us a great run down of the special and recommended some food. Our server was Kenneth and he was very knowledgeable about the food and drinks; helping us pick some of the craft cocktails based on what we liked.

My friend and I went for a Christmas get-together and sat at the bar. It took a while to get a seat at the bar but we were able to order a drink while we waited. We shared the nachos which were delicious and had a dessert (the flan & the tres leches cake which were both phenomenal). The staff were all friendly and we felt very welcomed despite not being regulars. We both really enjoyed our evening at The Pine Room and can’t wait to return!

Cocktails were perfectly balanced and reasonably priced. Chicken liver wraps were delicious. I could have enjoyed a few more, but they were an ample appetizer for the fried chicken entree — which I would mention is the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. If I wasn’t from Chicago, I’d be back weekly.

Loved the atmosphere. Very casual and the foods were awesome. Friendly staffs as well. Definitely recommended.

I’ve been going on cauliflower and vegetarian adventures around town. I first ordered the “to go’ cauliflower from The Pine Room. The to go container seemed that it was not gently handled as there was cauliflower seasonings all over it. So much so, I asked if it could be plated on the standard plate as I had some time to sit and eat after all. The restaurant did plate and the dish looked so much better. The cauliflower itself was more raw than my preference. However, I’m rating a 5 because I’m glad I tried the dish. I loved the outdoor patio. It was also my first time to the restaurant.

Please know I am understating when I tell you that the dinner I had here was the best meal I've had in quite some time - and I tend to eat well. Per the recommendations of the wonderful bartender, Jeremy, we had the mussels, halibut, bolognese, and tres leches cake, and while common decency (barely) stopped us from licking each dish clean with reactions evocative of "When Harry Met Sally," it did NOT prevent a few sneaky finger swipes through the remaining sauces. Jeremy also recommended cocktails and wine, and while I do not remember any of the names, they were, of course, the perfect compliments for our meal.
Despite the beautiful presentation of each dish and drink, the only picture I thought to take was a memorial to the halibut which had once graced my plate, but it's okay; I already have plans to return.

What a great find for us while vacationing in Prospect. We came in without reservation with a group of 9 at dinner time. The accommodated us seating us on the deck. It was a beautiful evening so the setting was perfect. Service was incredible for a group this size and sitting on the deck. I had a cheeseburger with fries. The burger was cooked perfectly and large enough I could not eat the whole thing. The fries were excellent as well. I had the cherry pie for desert and it was worth the wait, it was very good. The cocktails were excellent all night. We all had a great evening.

Someone said I don't leave positive reviews but I do when they're earned and this halibut at The Pine Room definitely earned it and some! The light char on the zucchini, the herb butter on the fish and the Israeli cous cous was amazing! This is by far the best fish I've had in a long time probably since vacationing in the Keys. 11 out of 10! The burger and fried chicken is also amazing here, next time the pork chop..

Ask for Matthew when you go. His service was so informative. He took his time and explained everything as it was our first time. Do yourself a favor and order the pork chop. My wife got it and it was so good surely it must be sinful. I had the burger which Matthew promised I would love because of the caramelized onion jam. It did not disappoint. We ate outside under the heaters and listening to the crickets chirp made a date night meal nearly a year in the making worth it.

Absolutely love the Pine Room. They nailed it with the decor/ambiance. Best fried chicken in the city, hands down! Would love for them to mix up their draft beers selection. The bartenders are unreal for the cocktail connoisseurs. I’d put them up against anyone.

The Cinnamon Sugar doughnut fritters are unbelievable! Could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here. It was a great place for a date night. The live piano music was a nice touch as well. My husband had the burger, which was well cooked and seasoned perfectly. My fried chicken was divine, and the greens and biscuit that were served with it were both fantastic. I highly recommend The Pine Room for an enjoyable night out. It's best to make a reservation if you are going, especially on a weekend.

Funtimes. Nice fire pit. Decent prices. Friendly staff. Closes late enough. Jukebox. Pool tabel. Couches. Full bar and draft beers. Good times!

This was my second time and my son was the musician of the night so it was quite special. The Pine Room knows how to take care of their musicians and I have to say this restaurant has class. My son says he loves playing there and it means a lot for me to hear that.
Our server was Kera and she was awesome, kind, courteous, and prompt. We had the Pine Room Nachos, their burgers, and a kind of grain bowl for the party of 3 (I forget the name of the grain bowl). The food was delectable and the burgers were cooked perfectly. It is a treat to visit this restaurant and my friends also told me they loved coming here. I wish you all the best, Pine Room, because you are a sophisticated establishment.

Light, clean food with straight forward flavor profiles in contemporary environs. Chef Joe Flesia has really been instrumental in turning their menu around and putting out properly prepared food, with pride.

Wonderful dinner! All 6 of us were impressed w the food,presentation and atmosphere. Will definitely make a return visit!

One of my favorite places in the City! The food and cocktails are always great, the service is top notch, even the host pulled out our chairs for us when seating, which I have not seen this gesture in most of the Louisville's restaurants in a while. The soothing atmosphere is touched with subtle elegance, yet unpretentious.
Finslly, our server informed us that there will be an upcoming menu update, therefore I'm looking forward towards my next experience here- SOON!
