Harrods Creek Park

This is a great park for hiking and kayaking! The trails are a mix of gravel and dirt. They are well-marked. There are both flat and hilly sections. We enjoyed walking (and stepping in) along the water and checking out the swings overlooking the view. Parking is easily accessible after driving through a residential area to enter the park. A porta potty was available for use. Kayaking access is well kept and easy to use. Definitely check out this place!

We love taking our kids and pets here so everyone can get some fresh air and exercise!! I’ve gone trail running, kayaking, hiking, walking, pretty much everything here. Highly recommend a visit!!

I loved this little park. Four main trails to walk and they intersect so you could do all four trails in one visit. That's what I did and they were all enjoyable.

Private properties on one side of the green trail. There are clearly marked signs so just be respectful of those properties and enjoy this delightful park.

I liked that there were emergency signs along the trails in case of emergencies. I do not see these alot and I hike trails almost every day, so this was a nice surprise to see.

I will def be back if I am in the area again!

Very beautiful well manicured trails. Benches along the orange trail to sit and watch the water or rest. The tree swings are amazing. The sand bar is a must see and only a little over a mile from the parking lot. Only downfall in my opinion is the lack of restrooms or portables.

Hidden gem in Prospect amongst a residential neighborhood. Nice, easy hiking through the hillside and along the creek. Several volunteers were out today clearing the intrusive growth to ensure the wildflowers had plenty of air to bloom. Today’s trail was a bit slow due to the recent rain, so we expect the next visit to be even better.

So beautiful. 2 hours on the blue trail. Gorgeous view, bridges, many creek views etc. It was very muddy due to rain but worth it. I highly recommend it. Other trails with less shade and further distances. You can kayak here too.

Lovely little kayaking excursion! Easy put in and take out, appropriate water level, easy paddling, beautiful scenery. Enjoyed the rope swing as well!

Great place for hiking and canoeing and a little swim in the creek. Kids were catching toads and the adults loved sticking out feet in the creek to cool off. Couple of deadfalls need cleared, but it was really windy not long ago and I am sure those are new

The park was beautiful with nice trails and looks like a great place to go canoeing or kayaking.

I can't believe I'm just discovering this place! It is gorgeous, but quite hilly. You will get a workout if you walk the entire park, or even part of it for that matter.

We had a great time exploring Harrods Creek Park. Definitely a hidden gem so close to Louisville! Highly recommend that you take the advice of a previous reviewer and wade across the creek at the end of the trails, and up the unassuming rocks towards the sound of rushing water. Great place to hike, with both a wooded track and one of mown grass depending on your mood.

Nice area, trails are in good condition, only 1 fallen tree on blue trail. I walked blue and orange trails.

This park is a hidden gem. The boat launch is perfect for a kayak or canoe. Tucked away in the Hunting Creek neighborhood, the park has walking trails along Harrods Creek.

Fun hiking trail with a little waterfall and creek. A little challenging with the snow and ice. Would recommend yaktrax. Would recommend.

Love this place . Easy hike to creek. One pretty flat and the other a little more elevated in the woods. Crossing the creek to the waterfall was the best. So well worth it to get to this hidden gem.

Awesome park with creek access and walking trails. A great place to take in the natural world and escape the city life for some time.

This is a safe, well-maintained moderate trail system with free parking for nature walks or runs. Great for bird watching, and packed with geocaches. A total of 3.25 miles in two connected loops.

Such a nice little secret in the park. You dont need a kayak to get here but you will need to wear shorts and sandals to cross the creak from the park path.
