St. Matthews Community Park

Escape to the forrest right across the street from Mall St. Matthews! I walked the nature trail behind the baseball diamonds and was amazed at how beautiful and natural the pathways are. Great for strollers, walkers, wheelchairs. A few inclines around the bridges, but overall it's an easy track to navigate. LOTS of benches to stop and rest or just enjoy the woods. There's even a tiny pond/wetland. I found nuts, berries, and many native medicinal plants. Great place for all ages and abilities to explore nature in the shade without driving half an hour out of the city.

Great place for a show. Hope they have more community concerts here. Enjoyed the walking path

It's just so close to home. It's always so clean and people are extremely friendly. I don't have to lock my bike up. The bathroom is always clean and I love the water fountain.

Just found a “new” park 4 miles from the house. Very pretty.

What a pleasant park right in the middle of everything! There's a great playground right next to the ball fields, which is super nice for parents. The bathrooms were super clean. Also, there's a very quaint, easy path in the back of the park that is very well kept.

Didn't get a chance to check the park out I was actually doing something really close by. It looked very nice and inviting I loved the little bridge that was going into the woods it was also covered with a little bit of Vines. See I'm a HOPELESS ROMANTIC LOL And I can just see people standing on the little bridge leading into the woods kissing. Or a Teenage couple sneaking off there and kissing. The Bridge looked just like something out of a Fairy tale I will definitely go back soon and check it out.

I can't think of anything negative except the scoreboard wasn't on-- but that's the tournament director, not the actual park's fault. Bathrooms are good and close. Turf infield. Nice location. Easy to find. Nice park. Bleachers available, also a little room for chairs. Beautiful old wisteria bush by bathrooms. I've never seen one so full!!

Hidden gen in the middle of madness

My brother in law had his wedding here and it was a nice venue. The indoor space was large with huge windows all down one side. Plenty of tables and chairs and bathrooms. They had a nice kitchen area. There were playgrounds out back for the kids and a pretty patio area directly behind the venue.

Great place to play baseball. Restrooms are filthy and need to be cleaned.

Great little park tucked away, directly behind the shopping center that has long housed the stores Stein Mart and Best Buy. It is a multi-use park; with several baseball fields, and the open grassland/wooded trails area.

St. Matthews is one of The Best areas in all of Louisville, it has been home to my family for over 60 years. One of the best aspects of this much loved city, are the beautiful and numerous parks.

One of our favorite playgrounds. It is size appropriate for our children 2-5yo and provides ample parking, close bathrooms that are well kept, and a nice little walking path through mature trees.

Its a very nice park! Dog friendly and has plenty of activities for children of all ages. I attend my sons baseball games in the fields near the park and I have also let my kids play there as well.

A medium sized park with beautiful paved walking trails, surrounded by lots of mature trees, a play area for kids, tennis court, basketball court, and baseball diamond. They have restrooms, however the 2 times I have been they were kept locked.

Love this park! Lots to do and even a shaded walk in the trees.

It is a small but very nice and quiet park.

I just went there for a baby shower it looks really pretty inside but it was big yeah that's good for weddings too okay enjoy your day
