Amin Family Medical Center

Been going here for a few years now. I like it so far listen to me makes sure I'm good. But I do hate the fact that when I need more of my Medicine I need to see my doctor before I can get more. But other then that it's great.

I've been to the office three. The first twoThe first two visits was not to good. them four days ago the visit went a lot better partially my Fault thank you to Dr Amin's office,And my doctor.

Ask for Mary. She has such an amazing personality that it takes all the stress out of visiting the doctor.

You may have to wait a while but the doctors here are Great. They don't have to except all forms of insurances. Most places won't these days, They really don't make much of money unless they do labs, so "YES" they may have more patients to make up for it. I get it and you should too. I drive from new Albany to Valley station, I hate Dixie highway there's always road work, they're understanding if I'm late, worked with me on appointments or prior authorizations. I don't plan on changing doctors anytime soon, not to mention Dr Handsome.. OK yes he is super dreamy, That being said, he also makes you feel like finally, in the medical field isn't JUST about the $$ I'm glad I found them and I appreciate what they've done for me.

The Doctor (Dr.Toni, female) was nice and polite but her checkup procedures were not very thorough. She does not check the area that is hurting and just tries to quickly get through with prescribing the medicine. It's understandable that the Doctor has lots of patients and cannot spend too much time on one person, but it would be nice if they took the patient's complaints seriously instead of brushing it off. She is also very forgetful, as this is the THIRD time she's forgotten to put in the prescription order for my medicine. ALWAYS remind them of the place you want to pick up your meds at before you leave. Also, when you ask for a generic brand of medicine, they do not listen to your requests. The waiting room is always crowded and appointments are pointless to make as it takes approximately 2 hours to be seen. The staffs' and receptionists' attitudes have improved from the first time I've been there. Overall I would not* recommend this place. It will take up too much of your time for an checkup that is not beneficial to you. This was just my experience that I wanted to share.

Terrible place had a sore throat the "Dr" Crystal Howlett she didn't even bother looking at it . Also stated she would give me 2 days off work due to me recovering from the flu . The note only gave me 1 when I brought it up to the receptionist she seemed like her brain locked up and when she couldn't find anybody she just handed me the note . I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. Crystal has condescending attitude and shouldn't be there.

I’ve been going to this practitioner since I was 8 years old never had a problem with a doctor I’m 30 years old now and I’ve had the worst experience with any doctor in my life with Crystal Howlett. She is so incredibly rude hateful judgmental and unprofessional I will never come back to this doctors office again it saddens me that patients who TRUSTED this office like me have to deal with someone like her.

It's always an issue when I come here. I've been coming to this doctor for 6 years only because of Dr. Toni, however, she doesn't work much anymore. The wait is always long and they are always unprofessional. If you have the last appointment everyone will be gone except the doctor when you come out. They messed up my daughters vaccinations as well, they gave her the same shots over for no reason so when it was time for her to start school that was an issue. They won't fill out paperwork and they send prescriptions late. Ive needed referrals to other doctors in the past and they never get sent through. After 6 years of patience I'm done with this office.

Ive been coming here for years, Dr.Amin is Fast, Brief, and Knows exactly what he is doing but is Very Dismissive when it comes to a Patient’s Concerns. The staffing is HORRIBLE. Shirley is in Charge of the Referrals and Things that have to do with appointments outside of Dr.Amins Office, My appointment with Nortons was scheduled without my knowledge and Nortons reached out to me to Confirm the appointment the day before. (I had no prior contact before that call) Apparently They needed a referral from the doctor to approve the procedures i was getting done and i had to call to tell Dr.Amin and His office that. I called and was referred to “Shirley” and was transferred to her line which she didn’t answer. After Calling Multiple Times and Getting Transferred to the line again and again, I told them not to transfer me to her anymore and to get someone else to do it. Im assuming one of the Black Techs got an attitude and did it herself which took less than 3 minutes.. You’re in Healthcare and dealing with peoples information/Health issues and your mad because I asked you to do your job😂 Wowww. The other office ladies was sitting in the background laughing and having a ball..Unprofessional. I hope they’re in my shoes one day so they can experience the ignorance they put out into the World.

Dr. Amin's office and staff. They keep asking for blood work and then asked me to come in for the results. If I can't come in they refuse to give it to me over the phone. I guess I'll never know. I have been referred to Specialists including having surgery with 5 days off work but I'm still supposed to just pop in their office and wait for hours and lose time at work. They are inconsiderate of other people. They are rude on the phone. I was accused of calling the other office manager and was told they're not going to bother with me anymore. This is the front desk receptionist Lisa. When in fact I never talk to a manager. I was told my surgeon can request my blood work. But they can't tell me over the phone. I was also told that it is a lie and that if the nurse practitioner wants to call you and discuss it with you they can. It is a Medicaid mill. Meaning that every office visit you get charged and they get paid. Yes I am definitely switching doctors unfortunately this one is close to my home but I'm going to go out of my way to get better care. Thanks

Quite literally the absolute worse doctors office I have ever had to deal with. The staff is lazy and selfish. They absolutely WILL lie to your face for the sake of convenience. They make up "policies". There is almost always an issue when u need an excuse for work. There is not a drop of empathy in the building. I've seen them crack jokes about patients openly as if the people weren't there. Unless your dying I wouldn't recommend it. Even then, you might be better off dead
