This place is a small hole in the wall country diner type place, with great food and great atmosphere.
Our server, Trish, was warm and welcoming, super sweet and helpful as we went over our options, and just provided a really nice atmosphere.
The fish sandwich was all I've heard and more- good portion size, cooked to perfection, flaky, tender and just nothing bad to say at all. Fries were well seasoned too, and I also enjoyed the cole slaw.
We got there right as fresh sweet tea was being brewed, so that was another welcome treat.
The casual, relaxed feel, warm banter between staff and some other customers, and amazing food, good prices, means this place is now on our list of places to eat regularly.
Only down side I could find was that they only take cash, so, be prepared for that. I wasn't. The store behind them has an ATM if needed.

I don't review terribly often, but this place absolutely deserves it. Relaxing atmosphere, super friendly staff, reminds me of an old fashioned country bar that you simply don't see here in the city surrounded by huge chain businesses. It's a small building and pretty easy to miss, but the fish sandwich platter is to die for, and tastes fantastic by itself, no condiments or anything needed, but it is very big. You may go home with a togo box, or if you manage to finish the platter, you will definitely have a full and happy belly. This place needs to be put on the map ASAP so everyone can visit. They also sell burgers as well, so if fish isn't your thing, you are still in luck. You simply DONT find service as friendly and personal as you do here, this is the first restaurant I have been in for YEARS that I felt actually acknowledged and cared about. This will definitely become a regular stop for me as long as they are around, and I think once more people catch wind of this place, it will be a regular for them as well. The ONLY downside I can come up with is they are cash only, and they aren't super visible. P.S. Trish is an awesome, super friendly lady. Hope she takes our order next time, and each consecutive time after.

This is a hidden gem if you are looking for a neighborhood bar with a great atmosphere, friendly service, and just a down to earth place to go.
It's cash only, the beer is cold and they have fish to die for. Hearty helpings and very reasonable prices.

Ate lunch here today and the food was fresh and so delicious, they had my order out quick and made sure I had everything I needed. They were so nice! I will definitely be back.

This was the first time I ate in the restaurant rather than takeout. I highly recommend it. The fries melt in your mouth and the fish is crispy and tasty.

Bright little bar the food is fabulous. They are a cash business so please bring cash. The fish is super. They have great specials on hamburgers as well. And the bartender/server is amazing.

Possibly, the best fried fish in Louisville. Huge portions. Fair prices.

They have the best fish sandwich you will ever have in your life. It is a small mom and pop restaurant/bar that has been around my whole life. My mom is 90 and this is still the best fish she's ever had and gets a sandwich there regularly. Don't judge it by the looks of it... Don't miss out on their fish.

This bartender Danielle has it all. She can bartend and cook. She's also my Fiance.

The BEST fish in town. My friend and I went in to specifically get an order of fish the people were so friendly and kind to us. They invited us to a birthday party that was in the back and they were also having karaoke we didn't know anyone there but we had a blast we met some new friends, they offered us birthday cake and we had very clean fun in a nice country bar my friend and I are two young African-American people... The people at the bar made us feel so welcome. I'm still talking about how much fun we had.

Fish was delicious, hot, crispy and mushrooms were really good and Hired radish sauce very good. Everyone very kind and accommodating. Service was excellent! Thank you O'Bryans! Will definitely be returning.

Great fish! I posted this 3 years ago. Today July 1st. 2021 I'm going to say they have the best fish sandwich in Louisville. I work 5 to 7 minutes away, by time I get back to work the fish is still hot, always been great in the past. I can't believe how good it always is. Take cash no cards. I'd give O'Bryans 10 stars if I could.

It's a perfect lil whole in the wall. Excellent service and FOOD!
